Yep, you guessed it, the "4kids side of Shattered Planes," was a joke. Most of you knew it right off, some of you decided to play along anyways. And some of you (Hawkeye) just complained the whole time and didn't take it for what it was. But, it didn't make it any less fun, especially when Orga and Hawkeye tried to RP in it anyways, and Lyoko did a mass character suicide only for K2 to edit his post and censor it with a "Mass Poof." Oh, and K2 taking the whole 'sir' thing to the extremes was freakin' hilarious...

Still... It just wasn't the same without Gaser. It was meant to lighten the mood, but even that felt empty. If he were here he'd have made some remark about how this is Shattered Planes when the Aralangs took over and everyone conformed to them in fear of the Special Forces...
Or in the one RP topic that existed, we could have took it longer, and he'd have mocked all our characters over conforming and giving up magic in that type of world... It just wasn't complete without him....

And I will fully acknowledge that, and is the reason I archived this prank for when he returns. That way he can at least get to read it.
And for anyone else who was interested, I will provide links at the bottom.

NOW!  I did this, yes, for April Fools, but I also did it for another reason. And that is because of the fact Gaser's family and the cops are monitoring. Believe it or not, there ARE parental figures out that that will take censoring to the extreme like this prank has shown. They will take out any violence, any magic for being occult even if it's fantasy, and basically turn a great piece of fiction into a pre-school.

They will enforce 'interventions' for 'bad behavior' such as cursing/swearing, not 'playing,' nice. And they will take it this far. 4Kids the more popularly known anime censoring group will even go as far as making everyone human and censoring anything to do with god out. (Like replacing Goku's Halo with an orb in Dragon Ball Z) and remove any sign of 'death.' This is completely ridiculous.

And I hope we've proven the ridiculousness of the idea of them thinking we're cyberbullies by doing this. Cyberbullies? Really? On a site that's rated G? (Provided by K2 himself, http://www.lightspeedsystems.com/Archive/WebsiteDetails.aspx?domain=shatteredplanes.com )

We tore Shattered Planes apart and killed anything that was remotely fun about it by trying to get even more G, than it already is. So with this day and example in mind, I'd like you to step back and think about just what you're accusing this site of, cyberbullying is flaming everyone and their mother every post they make (A good example of 4chan and the once great CLTCG). Sure, we may fight a bit, disagree in OOC arguments (because we want to win), and insult when we're MAD (is it a sin to get mad at times?) But... In the long run, WE ARE NOT CYBERBULLIES.

And if it takes turning Shattered Planes into a kiddie fun park with all of the fun removed out of it to make you see this, then by all means I hope you've learned something.

Guys, I've got to say that Hikaru's being modest here. On Thursday night I bailed on my duties of setting up a prank for the board and went to sleep. I was resting in my warm bed. Meanwhile Hikaru, even in the hard time she's going through with all the recent events, was working on the board. I woke up Friday and logged on as I routinely do in my morning class, expecting to see the familiar face of Shattered Planes. Instead, I saw something which made me laugh out loud in the middle of class, something this board hasn't made me do over the past two weeks.

Hikaru worked hard over night so that we could all wake up with a laugh on our face. So we could all see that, even with one of our most valued and cherished friends in hard times tonight, we are okay. We stand as a community unscathed, and can still allow ourselves the laughter and entertainment this board has provided us in the past. We have not died, nor will we now. We've survived against all odds up until now. We're not going to let the temporary loss of a friend send us into such a frenzy.

Remember that, guys. We're here for fun. Not to brainwash children into hating adults and authority figures. If anything, I'd go as far as to say that many of our members are incredibly respecting of authority. Much more, anyway, than most of our generation today. That's something to be proud of, and something that the cops and parents who are viewing our site will hopefully see.

I tip my hat to you, Hikaru. You've been hit hardest by all of this. Still, you're the one who worked your butt off over night while I was sleeping in my bed. You're the one who makes Shattered Planes live, even when you have your occasional fit of anger. You're the one who keeps us going, who allows us to smile and be entertained when we want to break down.

Happy April Fools, everyone.

It's too often we let life's tribulations strike us down, upset us. We let things outside our control get in the way of what we wish, accepting the angers and sorrows that comes with it. This is no way to live. Yeah, there's a lot trying to shove us down, even without the whole fiasco regarding Gaserlake and his family. The trick is to not let it get you down, to live on and do what you feel is right. Live by your own personal honor, and let no one take that from you.
