Kidnapping the Client?
« on: May 06, 2011, 11:17:24 PM »
The Dark Heart touched down on the planet, somewhat near Carl's Mansion. "Alright...Lets see...He should be somewhere around here..." Johnny said, looking around. Flora walked up to some random guy on the street with a guitar and asked,"Um, excuse me, sir, I was wondering if you might know where a Carl Dolos is?"
"This's gonna take forever..." Johnny said rubbing his eyes a little.
"Actually, yeah, I saw a guy by that name over at the mansion over there. Seems he's havin' a few problems."
"Well, damn, glad I didn't bet money on that..." Johnny said, as Flora pulled them towards the mansion.

Outside the mansion several armed guards were on patrol with guns that weren't pistols backed up by ammunition more all over than everywhere else and concealed. They did not like this job but were required to do it. Well it was either that or rot in prison. Carl had some influence with Ken and had managed to get these men released to kick Interpol off his property hard. Each of these men wore a stolen corpse armor.  Each one saw the approach of the mercenaries, and assumed a combat position preparing to pick off the mercenaries with sniper fire.  It was after all not their job to engage their enemies in close-range combat.

"Eh heh...Eh...Hey, Sam, this one's all you."
"On it." She said, pulling out her Object, the Scope, and also pulling out a anti-material rifle. She attached the scope to the rifle, and steadied herself. While she did this, Johnny used his knife to form a shield of light to protect against gunfire. "Tell me when, Sam, a'ight?"
She nodded, closed her eyes, and exhaled. When she opened her eyes, the iris had turned from her usual green to a crimson red, and said,
"Arrows to bolts, bolts to cannonballs, cannonballs to bullets.
The amunition of war, passed down through the ages.
Bow to Cross, Crossbow to Balistae, Balistae to Cannon, Cannon to Rifle.
The weapons of the sniper, from the dawn of man till man's end.
Bronze to Gold, Gold to Pound, Pound to Dollar, Dollar to Credit.
The pay of the mercenary, eternal as avarice, everlasting as greed itself.
I pretend not to have a noble intent. I fight for money. I kill for coin. I murder for greed. However, I am not alone. And if I die, I would let down my fellow soldiers of fortune. If not for me, then for my friends, by magic's guidance, allow my aim its truth!
Sniper's Spell-Magic Bullet!"
As soon as she said it, the wall of light vanished, and Sam fired a single gunshot. Instantly, one of the criminal's heads burst back with a crack as the armor-shredding round flew through his skull...And didn't stop there. The bullet changed direction mid flight, visible only because of the trail of blood behind it as it carved through the air, smashing through other criminal's bodies and out of them, cracking bone, shredding organs...If it didn't kill them on its first run instanty, it let them bleed out and moved onto the next, ruthless and efficient.
"Lets go. That should take care of them."

The moment the bullet came at them their armor automatically formed a construct shield with an AM property to it, causing the bullet to fizzle out. Each one of them looked at the mercenaries and thought about it for a moment. They had no desire to die and all took evasive action from the attack. "Screw this. No freedom from Jail is worth being slaughtered by pyschopaths." They ran off in various directions, but Carl had put land mines and machine guns and many other traps out there for intruders as well as the wall of blue fire around his gates.

Even with the AM field, at least one died, the bullet itself not made from magic but enchanted by it instead.
As the approached the gate, Johnny held out his hand. "Leave this one to me...
"Those who rob in the dead of night
whose silence is quieter than even the mice stealing breadcrumbs from the pantry
Those who steal from all they pass on the street
whose skill is that they remain unnoticed even when their hands dart in and out of their victems pockets
Those whose greed are unmatched, whose theivery earns them this title as others possessions mysteriously end up theirs
As a thief, we're all the same. All takes, and is taken from, for such is life. But there are some who go beyond, stealing not out of need, but envy. Those few that succeed learn to avoid, learn to spot, learn to dismantle the defenses keeping them from their prize. And I call upon this, for not just myself, but my friends. By my own hand as a mage, I invoke this skill, to keep us safe, as we repossess that which belongs to the other!
"Spell of Rouges-Detect and Disarm!"
Instantly, from Johnny's ornate knife was a bright gream, and a light shone on the ground itself, showing where underneath were the mines, which immediately detonated harmlessly. Under the cover of the ensuing rock and dirt flying through the air, Kiera grabbed all the other three of them, her cloak fading to clear as they all turned invisible. Under the cover of undetectability, they made their way past the machine gunners and any other patrols without being seen, and made it to the mansion's front door.

The ones on the ground were quickly healed before they could die. The door had a retina scanner, motion activated lasers, a heated door knob and the welcome mat led to a pit of crocodiles. Did I mention these were mutant crocodiles that could live in acid which was what the pit was filled with? Carl watched from his viewing cam and turned on the Magi-Androids and Annihilators which came out of the windows and began to use infra-red to see these intruders. The door was 30 layers of steel thick. And magically resistant. So getting through that way would not work. Plus the lasers were aimed at the mercs.

Twenty Series Two Magi-Androids began to shoot invisiblity disabler spells at the mercs.

They saw the andriods, and where they came from. "Hm, door's made of metal..." Johnny noted, while Sam loaded her rifle. She aimed it at one of the droids, lined it up so the there were a few in a straight line, and fired the anti-material rifle, shredding through a few of them. Johnny took out his knife, and slashed where he was. Instantly, a slash of light erupted at five others, dicing them in half. Keira threw up her cloak, and threw a shadowy black ball of energy at the driods. When it got close to them, it expanded, enveloping them, and turning them blind and deaf; it damaged the optical units in their eyes, while also damaging their whatever-machines-have-to-hear. While they did that, Flora concentrated on the wall. After a few seconds, small tendrils of vine, tiny little things, crept fromm it. She kept up her concentration, and they grew a little more, little by little, and the area of the wall with these vines also grew in size. Because they were breaking through the wall, little cracks broke through it, and more and more appeared as the vines kept growing. Not big cracks, by any means, but still many, many cracks in the wall.

The cracks in the wall began to instantly repair themselves, as out of the ground came a clone of Carl. "Leave Interpol. You are not welcome here if you work for Interpol."

"Who the hell is Interpol?" Sam asked, turning her head. "We were given a contract to escort some Carl guy to Elmora or something."

A file on the intergalactic organization knwon as Interpol fell near Sam. "And I was given orders by my template to prevent unauthorized entry onto the property. So shoo. " It made a shooing gesture. And then it began to say. "From the gentle breezes to the heavy storms, winds exist all of this time. For my friends, and the family I have lost let the wind answer my demand and take the shape that I desire, as I wish, tear through my enemies and impale them without a blade. Scything Winds."  At that wind scythes came at every mercenary on the property to cut them open.

"Cover your ears!" Sam shouted, as she aimed the barrel of her rifle up, and, charging the gun with a bit of magic, fired straight up. Before she fired, Keira temporarily suppressed their sese of sound, knowing what Sam was gonna do. And when the shot was fired...It broke the sound barrier. Now, you might think 'So what? Whats that gonna do?' Well, when an object, even smal as a bullet travels faster than the speed of sound, the particles in the air cant move  fast enough out of the way, creating a massive shockwave known as(either its known as this or the sound heard, anyways, cant remember) a sonic boom. And because of what the shockwave was, a burst of particles going everywhere, the scythes were overtaken and dismantled to base particled, since they were just met with a stronger 'wind'. Of course the mercs were blown every which way and the mansion now had a gaping hole where a door should be, but they were still alive. Once the suppression of sound was over, they heard Sam yelling in pain. Johnny, the first to recover from the shock(Thank you GOD for magic, he thought, considering without it none of them would've probably lived), got the others up and ran for Sam. She laid against a wall, clutching her arm in pain. "Damnit, must've broken it or something. Either the recoil or the blast itself I dont know what, but Im not sure I can move it very well."
"Dont worry Sam, just take it easy. We're gonna bring this guy out if we've gotta drag him by the hair. Im fuckin' tired of playing nice, now that one of us is hurt." Johnny said, pulling out his knife.

From inside of his property Carl was shielded from the sonic boom. Noticing the intruders would continue to march onto his property uninvited he walked over to a button he kept only for emergencies that should enable him to handle these property crashers. So he unceremoniously pushed the button which revealed the wrist band he had built, his unique battle armor that he alone had made. Now was definitely a time to give the armor a field test and so he put it on his palm and pushed the button having the armor beamed down onto him. He had secretly added a constructor system from a dis-assembled corpse armor to the armor he now wore as well. He used the loud speakers to issue a message to the mercenaries. "You were told to escort me to Elemora? Well I am planning on going there anyway. And such defenses I set up were to keep Interpol a very nosy and annoying organization off my property. They were not meant for you, but for any operatives of Interpol that dared tresspass. "
