Call to arms
« on: May 15, 2011, 11:24:23 PM »
A large wormhole was created not far outside of the graveyard of ancient vessels and technology, the Archive had this place long marked as a "Red zone" or some place no one wanted to get sent. It was due to the massively large and unknown alien being that lived in the graveyard, the Archive had lost a vessel and didn't want to disturb it's natural habitat.

This transmission is for the mercenaries that have been on contract with the Archive forces, we are the Coalition, a newly formed empire under the command of former Archive officers. The Archive has been disbanded and recreated as us. We're calling upon your services, payment will be generous.

Along with that transmission a set of coordinates and codes were sent, these would allow for the mercenaries to beam onboard the Omega during this particular event, they'd be changed afterwards.

The station itself was currently unmanned, but in such cases a direct line was always in place to their base on Ash Island. A transmission was sent, the feed automatically transmitting live once the message was recieved. This one showed Hiro, who'd been passing by the teminal back on Ash Island when the message was recieved. "Huh, a transmission at our outpo-Wait, the Archive's forces are back!? Is this thing on? It is? Al, thanks, Alycia. Yes, we read you, Coalition. Should I go alone, or bring the whole gang? Oh, while your there, I think we left a massive shipment of wreckage a ways away from the outpost, but not quite. There's not much of value in there, just letting you know in case you may have thought of searching it. Whenever we check the outpost, we leave some of the stuff for Giovanni, the big guy seems to like the stuff, heh. Just lettin' you know."

"This is the Commander, just you should be fine Hiro. It's just protocol." The Commander replied as he waited for the mercenary's arrival.

"Arright, just to be certain." Hiro responded, before beaming to the location. "Never could get used to beaming..." He mumbled, before looking up. "Ah, Commander, good to see you well. We've been wondering what happened to you all." Hiro said, holding out his hand. Masamune looked around through Hiro's eyes, musing into Hiro's thoughts, "I see the good commander remains as strong as from the last time we saw him, Hiro. Its good we're on the same side as him."

"As it is you Hiro, we had a bit of difficulty with our founder. Abel. He went missing and many factions of the Archive that were under his control went wild, we just recently got everything under control. We could never be the Archive without Abel, he was sadly the driving force behind the entire organization. But we can be something else." The Commander mused as his Inquisitor helmet slid back to reveal his black helmet, which many would refer to as his face.

"How have things been with you? I've been out of the loop." The Commander asked politely as the rest of his armor slid into standby mode, the Commander just walking out of it.

"Well, I think you where still the Archive back then, but Grunder Industries, who's boss was one of our usual employers, is gone. Just plain left, in tow with the Paxans. Left us a little out of work, but business is picking up. It looks like one of the leading powers that are coming about is the Zarethian empire, if territory is anything to suggest, and we're hoping they might have work for us at some point. Oh, we've also accepted another member to our merry band. His name's Sam, oddly like our sniper, though he's not much like her. And someone also recently crashed nearby offshore of the island, Sara was just checking on them." Hiro said, rambling a bit. He then realized he'd said quite a lot, and shook his head, saying,"Anyways, though, things are pretty good, except for the occasional person trying to scan, steal, buy, or otherwise get their hands on the Tech aboard the Dark Heart. Ah, but Im rambling again. You had work for us?"

"Seems like the universe has been busy in our absence, and yes we have work for you." The Commander smiled as he reached up and pulled off his helmet, revealing his actual face, large X shape scar and all. "In the simplest of terms, we need a few people dead. But we can't exactly spare the manpower at the moment to do so ourselves." The Commander informed as two holofiles were handed over to the mercenary. "Both members of the Anrufe, they aren't high ranking but they're up there. Both seem to be highly competent in their own specialties. Their names are Red Zero, and Delta. We have a lot on Red, but nearly nothing on Delta, he seems to be a new member or hasn't been very active up until now. What we do know, is he's not human. If our intelligence is correct, he's an AI that has..evolved into something a bit more..complex. The two of them led an attack on the Library, it was ineffective but it was still an attack." The Commander informed as he set his black helmet on a nearby table.

"Payment will be half now, half once their deaths have been verified. It's enough that you could buy a small planet and still have enough to decorate. We also have a few presents for you, they're waiting for you back at your compound on Ash Island. They'll make hunting these two a bit easier." The Commander announced.

What had been sent to Ash Island was enough Nilgaitt laced rounds to kill a small country, various Basilisk weaponry, parts for GR-armor infused with Nilgaitt, and a couple liters of a cocktail that would pretty much put any magic using being down for the count. The cocktail was nothing but saline solution with a bunch of nanites coated in Nilgaitt, the nanites were also programmed to put whatever they infected straight into a deep coma. All of this was free of charge, but it was still to be kept to the mercenaries, just like the tech aboard the Dark Heart. They even sent instructions and basic information about Nilgaitt and Basilisk weaponry.

"Alright, then. Sounds fair to me. We've still gotta hear out the guy over at Ash Island, and we'll probably do what he needs done first, but I assure you that we'll take them out right after." Hiro said, nodding thoughtfully. "I understand that its a security hazard to do this for an AI, but if possible, would you like Red brought in alive? Also, if Delta is, in fact, an AI, how would he be killed? Even if we destroy the terminal he's in, he could just jump to another or something. Just need clarification."

"Magically." The Commander replied as he thought about it for a second. "And no, it's in the Coalition's interests to have them both eliminated."

"Alright, then, just wanted to be certain. Well, I'd better get going, gotta get the other contract out of the way so we can begin hunting these other two nuisances, heh. Good seeing you all well, my friend. I hope everything remains that way." Hiro said, walking to the Beaming...Room...Thingy, then beaming back to Ash Island.
