The Pillager is not a spell, nor a form of magic, though great magic courses through it. No, the Pillager is a object imbued with great magic. A magic that allows its bearer to sail any seas they wish...On any world. And the Pillager itself? The Pillager...Is a ship.
When I say a ship, I dont mean a spaceship as you might think, after all, space ships can ALREADY go to any planet. No, the Pillager is a sailing ship, and a large one at that. While not as large as most royal navy ships used by England during the Golden Age of Piracy, it was still large enough that it could be identified as the lead ship in a armada. The way the Pillager's magic works, is that if its Captain knows of a sea, anywhere in the universe, and knows where that sea is, a fog will form a ways in front of it, and somewhere upon the sea they wish to go. Any and all sailing ships which enter this mist will exit at the other, without need of wait. However, the magic is particular-ONLY sailing ships, and that which they carry, are able to follow the Pillager through. As well, only its Captain can use this magic. No matter what you do, unless you are the captain of the Pillager, its magic will not work. For the ship to consider one its captain, they must wield a certain blade...A cutlass-like sword, with a blade as thick as a man's arm. It is armed with cannons on the top and two of the lower decks, with a single, much larger cannon at the bow of the ship. Traditionally, the Pillager has been captained by Pirates or Privateers, though at one point it was taken by the Royal Navy of England.
There is more magic than simply that one spell, however, though it is the only spell instantly known to its captain. Unknown to most is that the Pillager can be manned by only its captain, for the blade which denotes its captain has complete control over the ship itself-every plank, rope, and sail can be moved as though a part of one's body if they possess the blade, and know of this spell. Another spell is one incapable of being used by its captain...If the ship is sunk or wrecked, it, its blade, and its treasure disappear from the ocean floor or wherever it was wrecked by 24 hours, and sail out of one of its fogs alone somewhere on the same planet until next found and boarded, sometimes taking even decades to be found. The captain will not return with it if they perish, and if they survive, it matters not if they keep the blade...It will be gone by the passing of a single day, returned to the ship it is a part of. It is said the ship contains the collective memories of the various captains that have commanded this ship and died with it, but if this is so it is unknown how these would be accessed. The last of the spells placed upon this vessel is that it cannot be brought out of the water, unless in the case of it being beached(by which it still cannot be removed from the land). Attempts have been made to lift it out of the ocean, possibly for museums, possibly for private collections, and a few times people have tried loading it onto spaceships to bring it somewhere else, but the ship has simply refused to allow such things to be. The last known voyage of the Pillager was on the Planet Elmora, where it was taken by a certain Water Elemental, the Pirate, and is currently moored at a location only known by her.
