Settling a score
« on: May 22, 2011, 10:06:56 AM »
Alright... So i know this chick that i hang with and she's a gamer like me. During some storm a few days ago, her Xbox Red-Ringed and her TV died at the same time. She seems to think that her TV was destroyed by her Xbox, but her Xbox is fine now (After i told her to wait a few days before turning it on,because the storm may have caused it.) Im sort of an expert on the 360, and ive told her that i cannot do that. I even called Xbox support and asked an Xbox.com Moderator about it and neither of them have ever heard of it happening before.

So... My main point is,

1- Am I, Microsoft, and the Xbox Team wrong, or is she wrong.

2- Why a female so fucking stubborn and think that they're always fucking right

3- I guess i need MORE proof of my case.

I WILL NOT BE PROVEN WRONG!!!!!
So if any of you can help me with 1 and 3, itd be greatly appreciated.

You're not wrong. The only way the 360 really interacts with the TV is, literally, just giving the TV whatever to show on screen. Those three colored plugs? Those are just video and sound. That's it. So unless by some deus ex machina that the 360 decided that it could kill a TV by showing more of the color green (Or in this case, red. lololol) than it could handle, there's no way a 360 can kill a TV. It's likely that the storm caused the red ring AND the TV to be broken.

Not entirely true, it depends on the tv and how the tv broke. Got any details Lyoko?
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.
