Eric Mann is, to put it simply, a very tricky bastard. He appears to be an all around guy, and the public seem to love him. He has spent years building up his image as an image of the Zarethian way of life. It appears that he is a very patriotic man with nothing but good in his heart, a rarity for politicians. He tries to subtly show the people this.. To show them that he represents a change in ways -- for the better.

In reality, he couldn't be more dangerous. He manipulates the people and the government by social engineering them into thinking he wants to help. He uses this to his advantage. He is very cunning -- almost like a master-mind. However; even he answers to someone..

Biography:
Eric Mann was born aboard the Korik starship of the Zarethian fleet to a loving mother and father. His father was captain of the Korik, a civilian ship. From early on in his age, Eric learned how to fly his starship.. But when he was fourteen years old, something tragic happened. Narrikian pirates boarded Korik, kidnapping his father and mother, and killing the rest of the crew.

Eric barely survived by hiding under a table in his father's quarters. He alone flew the Korik to catch up with the rest of the fleet and tell them what had happened. The Korik was abandoned, and Eric was taken in on-board the Vakcree, raised by the ship. The fourteen year old never got over his mother and father's kidnapping, and joined the military at a young age.

Eric passed from the academy at the age of twenty, going on to become a captain aboard the Oricc by the time he was twenty four. On the Oricc, Eric piloted skillfully, showing off his skills to various higher-ups. They chose him to be a part of an early attempt to find land for the people to settle in permanently. Eric left his post on the Oricc at age twenty five to join up with the Horic'rauman fighter fleet which took off looking for land.

They searched for about a year and came up empty. They eventually found their way back to the fleet, and were reassigned. Eric, now twenty six, was given command over a small off branch of the academy aboard the starship Vakcree, once his home. He trained several soldiers aboard the Vakcree before it was decommissioned due to age.. It was then that Eric started to consider retirement.

Eric Mann went back to the Oricc to live. Shortly after his arrival on the Oricc, the ship entered FTL without fleet permission or any communication. It came back three months later, with Eric the only survivor left aboard. He claimed that they had been abducted by Lorcar.. He was lying. Nobody ever found out.

Oddly enough, soon after that, Eric Mann met with the Zarethian council and began the organization known as the Zarethian Hand, of which he was the first director. Now, years later, he's running for Senator as a representative for Nusach.
