Video Campaigning

[Zero]

Aseron saw the new poster that had been put up by his competition, Eric Mann. Well he would have to do something about Eric being able to put up so many posters. So he pulled out a communication stone that had been given him by Ezra.  Informing Ezra via the stone of the problem he listened for a moment and then learned what he was supposed to do in this situation. IE in this case he was supposed to put up his own televised commercials that would paint him as a good guy.

"Zarethians." A mechanical voice began to speak. "What do you want for yourself? Chaos and Anarchy or leadership and order?"

Two ten minute clips played.

One was of the Lorcar and how they had ravaged the world. Each Lorcar however had the word Chaos put on them by artists under his payroll.

Another was of the Zarethians with the word Order painted on them via technology.

"If you want Order, choose Aseron Lustre. Let him be your guide to a bright new Era." Said a dozen cheerful voices of Zarethians. 

"He is honest, fair, kind and merciful. "

The transmission to the accessable TV sets then ended. The normal broadcast was resumed.

This was however, when the international sports teams were being showed off. So much groaning and grumbling ensued.

"Ah, what a load of Bull shit." A man said, turning off the televised set in disgust and he went back to eating his Zarethian Pizza.

Others, however had better opinions of the televised advertisement and watched them rapturously.

Another advertisement for Aseron Lustre, but this time not televised would be sent. Magi-Androids disguised as the Zarethians began to walk around handing out pdas that had been paid for by Aseron that had a video clip. His face was on there speaking.

"Do you want Victory or Loss?"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MvG1qGxcdM&feature=related Celebrities appeared on the TV screens and began to do speeches and advertisements in favor of Aseron Lustre, while Magi-Androids dressed in Zarethian garments and magically made to look identical to Zarethians walked all over the region handing out fliers and PDAs.

A famous singer among the Zarethians said to all his fans that they should vote for Aseron Lustre, and since they normally listened to him and he had been paid quite a lot. "Vote for Aseron Lustre today. He is a kind and compassionate and merciful man. He will not let you down."

Some Zarethians were getting either A) sick and tired of the new media campaigns already, B) suspicious of this newcomer who was obviously very well paid and seemed to have a lot of media support or C) soaking it in like normal civilians who don't recognize propaganda.

[Admiral Regis Hermitage]

A counter-Campaign was also ran.

"Eric Mann... a patriot, a visionary, and a good mann."

It showed various pictures of Mann volunteering, shaking hands with some important figures including Decadea, A few councilmen, and Fleet Admiral Sora.

Various brief testimonies were shown by other prominent people.

It finally cuts to a picture of Mann and Hermitage with a backdrop of a Zarethian flag with the words,
"A vote for Mann, is a vote from Mankind."
