Vailen's Quest
« on: January 24, 2010, 08:32:10 PM »
Slowly an irritated and impatient Vailen walked the streets of an Urban Metropolis known as New York City. This area was teeming with badness. He could practically taste all the crime and blood shed in the air. Now he decided he would get to work and remedy the problems in this city without using his powers.

Vailen then walked into a gun shop that happened to be nearby. Before entering though, he took a detour into an Alley. First he glamoured himself to look like a basic man in order to fool the owner. He next made a bag of money appear in his hands. He would use this to buy a non magic weapon for himself.

He then in irritation entered the gun shop. He was impatient for the person to show him what models of weapons were for sell. He did need to be armed with something besides magic after all. Facing the facts he realized he needed to cultivate patience and not threaten anyone any more.

Although not running the gun shop a serjoi businessman sat in the corner. He was dressed for success and that is exactly what he wanted "Sir I see you are looking for some wears." he smiled walking up to Vailem

Vailen seemed suspicious. "How did you know that?" He wanted a non enchanted weapon so he would have something besides his magic to rely on in this strange world where everything seemed to be messed up. He was curious however about what the wares could be.

"So what are you selling?" asked a Curious Vailen. He had momentarily forgotten the gun store. He walked towards the Serjoi Sellsman and then cast a displacement field which would block anyone but the sellsman from seeing him use his magic.

"Well for one you wouldn't walk into a gun store if you weren't looking for a gun and two I can see you have a great burden on you" he said looking towards and away from the gun salesman. "Sir if you mind I prefer doing business in my place" he said walking towards a door in the shop. When he went over to it he knocked three times, then he palm slapped the door. Eyes showed from the other side and then the door opened, showing an underground trading rink

Vailen then thought about what to do in this situation and said "Illumina."  a small orb of light appeared and went in there, lightning the whole place up so he could see in the dark. He then walked through that door. "Now what all are you selling?" He asked irritated.

(Just as a heads up, Odd, you wanted the word wares a couple posts back, rather than wears. Wears is a verb, meaning to wear, as in to wear pants. Wares is a noun meaning the items a salesman/saleswoman sells.)
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

(Grazie. As you can see I am no grammar buff so thank you. And the place already has lights. It's not literally underground.)

"I see you are a magic user my friend" he said walking down the isles of guns he had. "Lets find a seat" he said pulling out a chair and table for them to converse with "Please sit"

Vailen then smiled a knowing smile at the man and said to him  pleasantly "How would you like to make more money than you have ever made before in your entire life?"
Vailen then thought of the picture of the gun he wanted. It would have to be able to fire EMPS and bullets as well. He then handed a rough sketch created from magic to the Salesman "This type if you have it. "

The salesman looked at it. "EMP bullets ehh..." he said "Now I'm afraid we only have EMP rockets but it's been seen that shock bullets can short circut enemy tech for a short time" he said still examining his scimatics "and I have made the money of an empire's fortune so name your price" he said and looked up "Would you like this in a stormtrooper model"

Vailen then frowned slightly annoyed. He knew something would happen topside in a few minutes and yet he was too aggravated to deal with things properly. "1. What is Storm Trooper Mode? 2. What kinds of Armor do you have availible? 3. I can pay you..." He then removed an entire sack full of gold bars. "This much. "

The business man didn't flinch like his co-workers when the money was brought to the table "Sir the Stormtrooper model is our newest assault rifle which can be adapted to either use shock bullets..." he said pulling out his blue tipped bullet "Or
they can shoot out pure lighning. As for your armor trouble, what are you looking for"

(I doubt that a gun shop would have that kind of technology on Earth.)

Vailen then thought irritatedly about what he wanted. "I want you to modify one to shoot pure lightning and to be fueled by my magic. I also need an armor that is light weight but will allow magic to function inside an AM field. Those things are quite annoying."

Gaser, what makes you perfectly sure that he's from Earth? Indeed, the good merchant could have been merely stopping here for buissiness!

Vailen then picked up a storm trooper rifle "I want you to modify this to shoot pure lightning. Also if you have one that I can use in one hand, I will also take one of those." He was very determined to finish this business quickly as he had bigger fish to fry on this occassion.

(Hmm, and I thought Vailen was supposed to be an angel. He'll never get back into heaven by being violent.)

(He is getting a gun if merely so that AM shields won't damage his abilities as much and plus if he runs into you guys at the tournament, Hammer, Sword and Gun will definitely give him an advantage. )

(lol, it's still violence Hawkeye. He's never going to get back into heaven by participating in any sort of violence.)

(Owning one simply means he is prepared in case someone decides to trap him inside an AM field and barbecue him alive. )
