Lorei characters
« on: November 11, 2009, 02:03:10 AM »
Name: Korianne Noriin
Age: 18
Race: Lorei
Alliance: Lorei
Biography: Raised in turbulent times, Korianne was born into a pirating family, taught how to use a sword even before she learned her first magical effect. Growing up, she had lost both her parents during the many raids her pirating bunch engaged in, causing her to take leadership of it. They had active roles as privateers as well, causing many crippling blows during critical political stages.

When the current Emperor of Lorei died on the battlefield, and his son was crowned, Korianne was suddenly put in the spotlight, something pirates are normally highly against. Instead, she used it to her advantage, in her typical flashy pirate style, and challenged the new leader to a private duel, thinking that she'd be able to pull off moves he'd never even imagined before. She did accomplish that goal, but so did he. The duel ended in a stalemate, and a new friendship.

Five years later, the two are now two years married. While Korianne may have moved on from her pirating life, she has taken nearly all of the lessons she had learned while a part of the Loreis pirates, as well as quite a bit of the attitude.
Weapons: Two sabers (NOT lightsabers), two pistols, upwards of twenty throwing knives hidden all around her body, self-made hand bombs of various types.
Equipment: Incendiary, spike, lightening, and sonic trap kits, a myriad of poisons and anti-coagulants in knife-tipping kits
Magic Level: 5
Force Level: N/A
Appearance:

Name: Areis Noriin
Age: 19
Race: Lorei
Alliance: Lorei
Biography: The son of the previous leader of Lorei, Areis has been in near constant training, be it diplomacy, fighting, magic, lawmaking. In nearly all his free time, which was quite little, he'd fantasize about freeing himself from all the monotony, about running away and joining one of the many pirate or privateer groups about his homeworld. Instead, he focused on the lessons that he found either interesting, or particularly important. Namely, fighting, magic, and his own research. He was never officially taught about the 'darker' sides of government, of espionage, black ops and sabotage, yet he has plenty enough knowledge of it.

By the time he reached the age of fourteen, he had already taken part in several major battles, mostly from the sidelines as a strategist. He won every battle he fought, which he claims is the reason he's still alive. He uses quick, often erratic movements and unexpected strikes to fight, often working magic seamlessly with his swordplay. He is, more so than the majority of his kind, a dreamer. This enables him to come up with unexpected, sometimes even nonsensical or seemingly impossible solutions to problems that usually end much better than they'd sound like they would, and usually on the fly. He has only planned one battle in advance, and that was the one battle that he had almost lost. Since then, he's switched to simply 'winging it' and making the plan up as he goes.

News of his father's death came to him quite late, as he was away in combat, aiding the Loreis privateers to sabotage an enemy's main power station. This was the first time he had met Korianne, and they had not hit it off very well at all. The very first conversation between the two started quite a fight, nearly giving away their position. Once they had arrived at the target power relay however, their way of fighting and tactics worked quite well, not only allowing the success of their mission, but the theft of the enemy's decryption codes, logs of recent transmissions, and an enemy ship.
Weapons: Two katanas and a shotgun
Equipment: Sharpening and polishing equipment, lock picks, hand firebombs and smoke bombs
Magic Level: 5
Force Level: N/A

Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

Awesome. Only one more round of requests before Gerai is replaced.
