His shoulders relaxed visibly as he ordered another two drinks for Aki. The bartender teleported them over again. Maxis just sipped his drink.

"Oh." His face darkened slightly. "She and I kind of fell apart after the landing." He said quietly. His voice just a tiny bit bitter. " Never really did understand why." He shrugged. " I suppose it doesnt matter much though. There are others out there. He took a long drink of his brew and put it back down, seeming in better spirits. "What about you, Ma'am? There have to be plenty that have their eye on you."

Maxis laughed. "Scared? They probably should be. Might be the fact that if they ever piss you off you can almost literally make their life a living hell!" He chuckled some more. "But seriously. Some people just cant take it." He shrugged then grinned. "Being in the military helps."

Having finished his training with that new technique he walked over to one of the buildings, Lucien entering by accident the one Akki was in. Unfortunately she was one of the members of Interpol but his book had subtly maneuvered him to come here after tracing her magic signature. The reason was to talk her out of further harassing his host. He said to Akki and the other one. "Hello."

It was his turn to blush as she leaned closer. It gave him a better view of her cleavage. He kept looking at her face, his own going redder. "It may be..." He joked. "Or maybe you just have that kind of way with people..." He said quietly.

Seeing her exposed cleavage makes Lucien blush a little, but he will not yield. Sunglasses form over his eyes, and he looks at her for a moment and says. "So, how is life in the fast lane treating you Akki? I hear you are a five star general now....and thanks by the way. if it weren't for you and interpol putting charges on me I never would have gained new magic or a lot of money at my disposal. By the way, how is decadea doing? Oh and what about Hermitage? How is he doing as well?"

His book formed a telepathic message to both of them.

Akki, I am prepared to offer you 10 million or more credits for 2 weeks. You will if you want the money follow Lucien around, and prove to the public and your military that he is not doing anything illegal. None of his activities are illegal, but with the word of a high ranking official such as yourself, that will be permanently resolved. Also if you want a vacation spot, Lucien is willing to donate his summer home to you temporarily.
