K2323's Beach House

Upon the ocean, there is a house which one could only dream of having. It's splendid, laid back atmosphere is perfect for all those who love the ocean. Upon the ocean, there is a small dock which small boats can dock at. Off the dock is a yard full of gravel and grass. The beach house, a good few yards away from the dock, smiles upon the yard.

The beach house is held up by columns into the air, creating a lovely, open space below the house. A gated pool sits beside the house, and a balcony is easily accessible in the house, overlooking the pool. The house is built well in case of tropical storms..

... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

A vortex opened upon the dock of the beach house, swirling with its assortment of dark blue colors. From within the vortex, a shape emerged. It was, in fact, a man.. K2323. He looked around, calmly, at his peaceful, waterfront home. Everything was good here.. But he had work to do.

His sister had told him something moments ago, before she vanished.. "The Arami Scrolls were never destroyed."

Only K2323 would know what that meant. It was an ancient secret from back in his childhood. The scrolls.. The one who had the scrolls could -

K2323 stopped, glancing at the vortex.. Someone else was coming through. But who?

UnStellar leaped from the vortex, landing gracefully on the gravel. He seemed to be good at portal travel. He looked up at the house and let out a whistle.
"Beautiful house... Did you build it yourself?" He asked, glancing over at the stranger.

"You," K2323 stated, "..You shouldn't have come. No good, no good.. Come with me, quickly!"

Anyone who knew K2323 well enough knew that he rarely panicked. At least, he rarely panicked in public. He was a leader. It was his job to keep a cool, collective face in front of his people. Right now, before a total stranger, he was panicked.

"Yes, I built this house," he explained, leading the stranger down the dock, "But even this house is.. Not.. safe. If only I had more.. time. If only I could.. find it. Find them.."

He led UnStellar across his yard, babbling on about something.

UnStellar listened attentively to his babbling, but grabbed his shoulder to stop him short.
"Easy, easy man. Look, I might be able to help. Tell me what's going on. What are you trying to find, and why shouldn't I have come?" UnStellar stared him in the eyes with his big, intense, dark brown eyes in all seriousness. His expression was somber. He wanted to know what was going on quickly.

He couldn't help but wonder how deep he had gotten in after only minutes of entering a planet.

Is it courage, or strength? And is that what I'm waiting for?

A rift opened and out of it stepped two men. One was clad in a black and red outfit, a martial artist Gi with a sword strapped to his waist. Blonde hair was that of the first that walked through and the glyph for fire was painted on his garments as he walked over to where K2323 was. This was Jonathan Black, the apprentice of Lucas Silver walking over to where K2323 and Unstellar were at the moment in time. It seemed that he would have problems at the moment to deal with. At least he would succeed at the mission he had been sent on by Lucas.

The other man came out of the portal but unlike Jonathan, he wore a silver outfit with blue markings on it at the moment in time. He had a belt full of weapons at the moment in time that would be useful for him to use at the moment in time. He was here to visit K2323 and see how things were going at the moment in time so that he could see what was going on. Negative energy had been detected by Lucas as rising throughout the dimension.

"Hello..." said Lucas and Jonathan respectfully to K2323.

"I can't tell you," K2323 replied.

It was true. He remembered what had happened last time people found out about that thing Hikaru had her hands on. There had been.. So much bloodshed. Even time itself had to be conquered last time. It was.. disastrous. No one could know.

He had to get to his library. He'd be able to do something there. He'd be able to find a spell that could help him. He could find some ancient magic to let him know what it all meant.. What his sister had meant.

With the two new arrivals, K2323 was confused. "Why have you come here?" he asked, curiously, "No time. Follow me, all of you."

"This way," K2323 insisted, leading them through the gated area where the pool was located, and to the stairs to the front door. He led UnStellar up the stairs, babbling the whole time.

"What do you know," he asked intently, "About time?"

Listening to the words of the elder sage K2323, one of the most powerful magic users in the dimension at the moment in time, Lucas had to admit he was envious of the sage that was standing in front of him as his magic level was off all standard readings. Well one day he would reach that level at the moment in time and so he said to Jonathan. ?You know what to do.? With that Jonathan nodded, and followed him and K2323 and Unstellar up to the next level. The library could be a place where he could find a useful spell or something to boost his power level so that he could be up to par with at least the weakest sages in the dimension and maybe even stronger than that.

"To do some research. And to see what the dark energy I sensed rising in the mortal plane is." As he exclaimed those words Lucas made sure that he had his normal arsenal of weapons that he needed at the moment in time to protect himself of course. Both Jonathan, and Lucas would follow Unstellar and K2323.

UnStellar snorted through his nose.
"Can't, or don't want to?" UnStellar could sense the portal shortly before it opened, and his eyes darted towards it, hand unconsciously going into his messenger bag. When the two men came out, he was a little nervous, now he was outnumbered.

Build your walls, maintain protection.

Reluctantly, he followed the first stranger, making sure to cut ahead of the other two.
"I know it speeds up and slows down when you don't want it to, and that there is never enough of it. Why?"

K2323 turned to the newcomers, slightly alarmed, "Dark energy, you say? Yes.. I may have given off some dark energy when I arrived here. Nothing to be alarmed about."

K2323 didn't have a clue.

He led the group through his kitchen and living room, over to a door which he opened to reveal a small library of books. He took off down the aisles, searching for one book in particular, as he spoke to the group.

"Yes, that's right. But time never forgets. That's the thing, you see.."

"That's right, master," another voice spoke up now.

The four were now facing a young boy who was bowing before K2323. K2323 looked delighted to see him, embracing the boy in a hug.

"CHAL! You're okay!"

"Yes, master.. But you're not. I've come to give you a warning," the boy said.

"A warning?" K2323 asked.

"Things aren't right, K2323.. We can't talk here. Not now."

"Right," K2323 agreed, "It'll have to wait."

He turned to his guests, and then back to Chal. "How do you all feel about a small boat ride?"

He pulled a book from a shelf, flipping through its pages.

UnStellar snagged a peach from the bowl in the kitchen, eating it greedily. He stared up at the library in awe.
"Damn man!" He said, taking a big juicy bite of the peach. "Thith ish amzin!" He floated up and grabbed a book from the highest shelf, flipping it open and swallowing his bite.
"A boat ride? Where to? Isn't it dangerous to go out on the ocean?"

"I'd be fine with a small boat ride." As he said those words Lucas held out his hand and a book on unique spells that K2 had never cast levitated off of the shelf at the moment in time that flew over to his hands at the moment in time. Opening the book, Lucas began to read the book and flip through the pages at the moment in time.

Tensing up at the moment in time, Jonathan pulled out a few paper tags at the moment in time and put his hand on them, causing the markings on the tags to transform them in the moment in time to a Tachi or rather a short form of the weapon known as a katana that was used by him at the moment in time. As it was the blade had no powered technology and was simply an ordinary blade.

"So, You were the one that killed my dragon." said Jonathan to K2323, remembering that event quite well.

"I've killed many dragons in my lifetime," K2323 informed Jonathan. "Spacos shareft."

Suddenly, the group were all aboard K2323's contender fishing boat, tethered to his dock. As K2323 began to crank the boat, he motioned for UnStellar to untie it.

"It's not dangerous at all," he said, "We're not going too far out.."

UnStellar threw up over the side of the boat.
"Dammit man, don't do that crap without warning me! Ugh. I hate teleporting." He wiped his mouth and grudgingly untied the boat. "What the hell's a dragon any way?" He reached into his messenger bag and started to fiddle with a red glass pyramid, toying with it playfully.

Suddenly teleported, it made Lucas dizzy for a moment in time but he was quick to recover from the teleportation dizziness. Of course now he would have to think of things that at the moment in time could be done to help Jonathan get over the loss of his dragon. Perhaps a mind wipe spell of some variety at the moment in time would be useful. He could simply erase the memories of K2 slaying his dragon and that would be that. But would it be enough? He doubted such a thing, and so he continued reading through the book.
"Well k2323, I look forward to reading your entire library one of these days. Some quite useful spells in there, including one you never used, called the Kayo Cep."

Jonathan stood, tensed up and his eyes narrowed for a moment in time. A platinum colored aura surrounded the end of the tachi in his hands, but it was not from a powered weapon but rather the power of Jonathan had just spiked instinctively without the Kayo-Cep at the moment in time, but how could one mage be so powerful? Well it wasn't that he was powerful per say, but that he had trained himself extensively during his time working for GOL before he had left off working for them and redid himself a little to improve his skills.

A fiery like energy aura began to surround Jonathan, something that had been rarely seen in the dimension at the moment. For few had seen the unique form of magic that Jonathan had at his disposal and so he looked at K2323 for a moment, and then at Unstellar. The pyramid he held did not seem good and Jonathan concentrated, forming an anchor spell around him that would keep him in this area until he himself wanted to leave.

"Yes, well, I can lend you some books, random stranger," K2323 replied before glancing over at the slightly disoriented UnStellar. "Don't want any chummers, now. Everyone hold on tight. I'm gonna kick the speed up a notch in a bit."

He gently cranked the boat, the motors already down in the water, and pulled down the gas throttle gently, giving the boat a slow start towards the open ocean. As the boat slowly made its way out of the No Wake Zone, K2323 shuffled through an assortment of papers on a covered dash compartment, finding one he needed. He then glanced at the book in his hand which he'd grabbed from the library. On each, there was a symbol of some sorts with numbers written underneath.

"Old man.. What are you up to?" he grumbled to himself.

"Master K2323," Chal spoke up, "What's going on?"

K2323 looked at all those in the boat, a worried expression on his face. "My grandfather gave my siblings and me a letter some time back with specific instructions on it.. We did not follow through with the instructions. That was our mistake. Now, we may all pay for it.. There's something bad -- very, very bad -- on the bottom of this ocean."

Lucas fiddled with a pendant he wore currently, one that would be familiar to any apprentices or students that the guardians had trained as the pendant was something they had seen often. The pendant he currently had on was that of the Eternal Saber Pin, capable of granting one wish per day and doing other things. But he did not know what the pin was capable of, well not of the wish granting part in this situation.

Jonathan on the other hand, had the blade Judgment with him which would allow him to cleave beings of negativity apart. He turned his attention to K2323 after memorizing the spell that he had used, and reached out to the blade Judgment which was belted at his waist now, as he had earned the right from Lucas to wield such a powerful magical weapon. The blade was looking old and pathetic, but the magic signature it gave off was immense.

"Go ahead and let her loose, K2323. I don't get motion sick easy... Unless I'm teleporting." He said with a smirk. He was quick with names. When K2323 explained his eyebrows shot up with interest.
"Veeeery bad huh? Is it something we have to fight? I'm down with a fight right now. What is this thing sea creature, old spirit?" He said, curiously.

He ignored the other two residents, finding them a little too hostile, though he took a glance at the sword, which could feel the power emanating from, and caught eye contact with the guy who carried it.
"Hey pal, are you uh, conpensating for something?" He asked with a smirk.

K2323 gave the weapons a curious glance, trying to keep his eye on the water. Yes, he found one of the weapons familiar from his training as a boy in the Dimensional Guardians base, but he did not speak of it. He had far too many other things on his mind at the moment. He did find it slightly odd that the two were readying weapons, though.

"No fights," K2323 replied, "At least.. I hope not. Not if we make it in time.. It's an item we have to retrieve. And once we've got it in our hands.. We have to get out of here. Quickly."

Once he got past the buoys, K2323 pulled the throttle on the boat down, and it began to accelerate to a speed of about fifty-miles per hour, causing things to get pretty rough with the waves slamming against the boat.

"We're about to enter a no-teleportation zone," he explained.

"That pendant won't work," K2323 explained, "Neither will portals.. The person who taught me magic built the defense zone we're about to enter."

The boat passed into a barrier of some sorts on the water, coming to a stop after a bit. They were, by now, a good couple of miles off shore. K2323 stood and walked to the front of the boat, lifting an anchor from a compartment and throwing it overboard.

"Alright.. We're good to go. If you all are coming with me, I hope you know how to breathe underwater."

He began to build up air within him, concentrating his magic to allow him to go without breathing.

Lucas focused for a moment and touched his pendant, tapping into the energies that was within it but for a different purpose as the current situation demanded he modify himself to be able to breathe under water and so he began to chant a spell he had learned in Ancient Narrikian. If translated correctly, it would read now.
From the stormy seas, to the gentle waters, adapt me to the water so that I may survive and thrive.
The water rose out of the lake and wrapped around Lucas, detoxified of any problems and granting him the power to breathe it, at least temporarily. "Will that be sufficient?"

Instead of what his mentor had done, Jonathan merely cut a finger with a switch blade he carried, letting 3 drops of blood fall into the water, and changing it into a form of water but that was breathable, like a planet that had once existed, Oceana. Now all he would have to do is make sure that he could handle the pressure and so he formed barriers around himself to protect against the pressure, but the barriers wouldn't impede his fighting capabilities in the slightest.
