The frigate Kiss Of Palms arrived at the Cosmic Palace, stopping their thrusters nearby it.. Pirates had arrived.

Four pods were launched from the Frigate, each of which crashed into the palace, releasing a total of ten pirates which began to shout out battlecries and storm the palace.

How to handle the events that had unfolded? With two entities that were as powerful as thought itself and limited to one or two abilities loose in the festival area, Lucien was at a big disadvantage as compared to normal times. But to thwart them he would need to break an oath he had sworn to his father, never to use the White Room unless things demanded it. Well this storm that was coming obviously gave him the hint that things were demanded. However, it would not hurt if he had help to deal with the threats that were boiling but who would help him? Most of the mercenaries were gone, he knew of no bounty hunters and there were no assassins to aid him either.

The moment the palace was attacked the defenses activated, as Lucien touched a stone tablet. A white barrier surrounded the entire palace blocking the hits of the laser batteries that were being fired as any non Narrikian was force evicted from the place. The center would hold and he would protect his home from the invasion by these pirates. The pods would collide with the shield and be incinerated on contact with the barrier.
 
"From the honor of thieves, to the grave of the deep sea  send these pirates away! Away from me!"

Their ship would experience all sorts of errors as the technology was attacked by dozens of CI simultaneously, and 6 corvettes came out of the shield, it only allowed Narrikian stuff to pass through but these corvettes were emitting all anti-fields. And began to strafe the enemy ship, Kiss of Palms. But the cosmic palace was emitting it's own AAM field, which shielded the barrier from the AM. 

The ship?s hyper driver, drift space, jump drive or whatever would also began to get random coordinates programmed into it.

As the ten dropped from their pod, they saw the energy barrier rise, and instantly abandoned their pods, teleporting back to the frigate. Self-defense mechanisms were activated on the pods the moment the crew left, and the pods blew up, the explosion impacting the forcefield. Given enough firepower thrown at the field, it would disable.

There were a great number of cheers about the frigate which began to fire at the CI's one by one, knocking them all into the barrier around the palace. The Kiss Of Palm's firewall protected it from hacking attempts. When the Corvettes arrived, the Kiss Of Palms stopped firing.. And devoted all its weapon power to shields.

The Kiss Of Palms, about the size of a city, started to ram into the Corvettes, more the size of the white house. The Corvettes' shields, if they had any, would be out in no time.

"Very well. Arm the big gun." ordered Lucien going to where a set of stone war gauntlets were and he slid them on his hands channeling his magical energies into this magical weapon the Star Clan had used in the past and had left attached to the cosmic palace, the slaughter beam.

The palace shifted, the explosions barely affecting the barrier. The people on the corvettes order warped back in after lowering the AM for a fraction of the second and all the corvettes dissolved into metal shards which would be used as ammunition by this cannon that was about to be fired. Focusing, Lucien concentrated and a massive beam came out of one of the weapons on the Cosmic Palace, large enough to hopefully tear through the shields of the frigate with ease, but his purpose was not to destroy the people on the inside of the Frigate. At least not yet. "Open hailing frequency." he ordered, and a transmission was sent to the Frigate, Kiss of Palms.

Why do you attack this place?

"Arm the membrane phase torpedoes." said Lucien, and hundreds of Magi-Androids went to load the slots for membrane phase torpedoes that Lucien had just magicked onto the cosmic palace so that it could defend itself more efficiently against the attacks of enemies.

"Ready....Aim....."

The Frigate did not respond. The palace's weapon barely scathed the city-sized shields, but the Frigate would eventually run out of power. It began to ram into the palace now, just as it had done the Corvettes. The palace shields would be down in no time, as no shield that small would be able to withstand a city-sized shield ramming into it.

At the same time as the ship shields rammed into the palace forcefield, it opened fire on the shields, sending several shots of ammunition from ballistic cannons aboard the ship.

"Increase power to shields."  said Lucien, and 3 more white barriers surrounded the entire cosmic palace courtesy of his legions of Magi-Androids series 2 here, and Infiltrators and Enforcers using their special abilities to protect this place and the fire power and ramming would barely scathe this place. The shield was expanded however, to the size of a city so that it would force against the enemy's shield.


"Fire!"

Thirty Membrane Phase Torpedoes came out of the Palace with a lock on the frigate. Only you have probably never heard or seen what a membrane phase torpedo is capable of right? Well once they get through shields, they use the ship's own mass against it by saturating it with energy and causing it to go boom.

"Prepare the Mollus Beams. " Another weapon that he had learned about, the Mollus beams were good Anti Shield weapons and did not require nearly as much of his magical energy to control. Several Mollus beams were fired, and they combined into a large beam which would hopefully strike the frigate's shields and dissipate them.. The ramming had also hopefully done damage to the shields of the Frigate.

"Fire!"

CI once more began to attack the firewalls, and would within 20 minutes manage to get the firewalls down and infect the frigate. A magically generated anti travel field that encompassed all forms of travel would fill this entire sector of space courtesy of the Magi-Androids.

The CI's were intercepted by the hacker aboard the Kiss Of Palms and reprogrammed to allow a hole in the enemy's Anti-Travel field which would allow the Kiss Of Palms to create a Hyperspace window.

A massive hyperspace window suddenly opened nearby the two. While the frigate might not have been capable at this point of breaking the enemy shields, it was capable of nudging the Palace into the hyperspace window.. Into the atmosphere of Maltruse.

The membrane torpedos only helped the frigate thrust the palace into the hyperspace window, the torpedoes being intercepted by ballistic fire before they could attack the frigate, the debris hitting the forcefields.

The Molus Beams found themselves unable to hit the frigate, who at this point was avoiding the weaponfire by taking cover.. Behind the hyperspace window.

Magical anchors were deployed as the Anti Travel fields were lowered, but the Hyper space window was magically manipulated and the destination changed. Now it was no longer Maltruse. This time it would lead to the Armory, and the moment the palace was through it closed immediately behind the palace. The palace would be reformed and retrofitted into a much larger building/city and into something even more massive.

The Frigate salvaged what they could of the enemy tech and CI, and began to study it. While they had lost the battle, they had not lost the war. The pirates flew away, drinking rum to celebrate their not-dying.

The fragment of one of the CI activated the kill switch which blew up all salvaged tech and destroyed all CI that were attempted to be salvagead. They wouldn't be winning anything today.

Either way, the pirates had gotten a good look at the CI's and had all they needed.
