It was only a matter of time before the ship was destroyed, a great explosion in the night sky. Zarethians broke out with a mixture of emotion everywhere. Cheers for the victory, kindness to all the allies, and sadness over the many lives lost. Everyone knew that elsewhere in the universe, people were still fighting...

And people were still dying...

Eric Mann stood in front of a crowd in the capital, speaking to everyone, his voice amplified throughout the entire city.

"Zarethians... My brothers and sisters. We have fought here today and watched as our kin have died. We have watched as our friends have died. We have watched as brave men and women made sacrifices to expel our enemies...

"Let us not forget their sacrifices. I speak to you not as a candidate today, but as a Zarethian. Let us thank the man of fire who has helped us, as well as the Galactic Online Security Marines. Let us thank everyone... And finally, let us rebuild from this tragedy.

"Now, we must not stand idly by. We must show the universe that we are strong. We must show them... That we will prevail. FOR ZARETHIAN KIND!"

The city broke out in cheers.

Behind him, the Zarethian flag was rose and flew in the wind. Soldiers saluted, along woth officers and people began to sing the anthem... it was a relieving atmosphere. Decadea took off his Class-7 CS helmet and joined Mann on stage as Hermitage continued to salute. Aki leans on Maxis and closes her eyes.

"Borders... they're useless. Look around. We were attacked by an enemy... an enemy that sees no borders... sees no difference. Come and see. Do you see any borders from up here? GOL didn't, and they came to our aid. The enemy didn't, and even now its terrorising this Shattered Plane. We must unite, amd destroy this enemy! For the Council!" Decadea looks around as the crowd cheers even louder.

And finally, Maxis, standing in as a small leader in the Zarethian Military's place. He stood upon the podium, looked around for a bit. He took off his ZPAA helmet, revealing his flushed, sweating face. His artificial eyes whirred and glowed in the looming darkness, their light blue light joined by the fires of destruction.

"A victory has been won today. It was hard fought and many were lost. My compatriots witnessed a destruction not seen in nigh three hundred years. A tragic, horrific day. The numbers of the dead are still being counted. We're all asking ourselves... Why us? Why here? Why now? Not even two years since the colonization of Tefillin, we are attacked on our new home, by things that we fail to understand. I dont think understanding them will bring any hope our relief to those who have lost. I personally dont care what their motivations. They struck us, without provocation, without warning. Will we stand for that?!" He yelled. The crowd responded with a wave of NOs. He nodded.
"I thought not. We fought bravely today, and todays battle is won. But the war is only beginning. Our friends, GOL and these new beings who fight with us, aided us in staying from the evil's grasp, they are to be celebrated. To be praised. Now is not the time for petty squabbles. An empire that stands alone will fall just as hard as one that fights with itself. Now is a time for action, not planning. For war, not peace. For revenge, NOT FORGIVENESS."
He said, ending his speech as the crowd around him screamed its approval. He stepped down from the podium, wearily.

"TRAITORS!" a voice yelled out from somewhere in the crowd.

A massive bomb went off in the middle of the crowd, killing several. Panic ensued, and people began to scream, scattering.

This greatly angered many of the Zarethians. One mage used his magic to trace the sound waves back to the yeller. When he was found, two ZPAA armored guards would find him/her and kill him/her.

The yeller had been a suicide bomber. Destruction filled the street. Zarethian media began to receive a mysterious transmission as their broadcasting centers had been hijacked during the chaos of the invasion. A pre-recorded message played, a deep voice speaking:

"The old Zarethian order will fall! Give way to the new order! Expel the old government! Vote Lustre for Senator!"

"Trace it... Do it now!", Hermitage barked.

The guard's AI traced the broadcast system. The place that they found would be searched with teams of ZPAA wearing guards.

All around the planet, weary Zarethians all began to rebuild. All contributed to the cause. Construction equipment was donated, kitchens got to work, strong magic users began to repair.

They would find it traced to broadcasting stations, all empty, all over the planet. Whoever had been there wasn't there any longer.

Eric Mann called for an immediate meeting of Senior Zarethian Hand officials in his office.

Several Officials arrived, including Assis. Dir. Hermitage and Sen. Decadea, Chairman of the Armed Forces Committee.

Devour may have been a newbie as far as the Zarethian Hand was concerned, but he went anyways. He was there to keep people safe, after all, and to do that he'd need to know what was going on.

The Zarethians had another trick up their sleeve. They checked the magic signatures of the last people who were there.

The Council had holograms appeared in the Office.

The magic signatures were cloaked. Those who were skilled enough would be able to sense them still, but they'd find that the magic signatures of those who had been there last were impossible... They all pointed towards the same person. They all pointed towards Addler, who obviously had not been there.

Whoever had done it had been trained.

"Thank you for appearing, gentlemen," Eric Mann said aloud as he stood from behind his desk, "I have come to pass on a new directive to all Zarethian Hand agents. Spread this directive to those under your command as soon as you are dismissed... We must firmly grasp the Zarethian people. We are, after all, the Zarethian Hand. Grasping is what we do.

"We must not allow chaos to fill the streets. As such, I think it is imperative that, immediately, we start showing the Zarethian people that change is necessary. Change is important. We must show them that we will change the world... Together.

"That is why I am going to recommend to the council when the next session is held that the Zarethian Hand be authorized to build a defense platform in orbit around Teffilin with advanced technologies we will obtain through trade with the Galactic Online Corporation. This defense platform will be revolutionary... It will, indeed, change the world. OUR world.

"So, I give unto you all this directive. Get onto the streets and let everyone know that everything will be okay... And I want all agents to be ready to find Lustre at a moment's notice. Addler can't keep him free for too long now. It's only a matter of time before he gives the order to arrest Mr. Lustre. I, for one, don't want to see that traitor free another minute."

He glanced out at all those in the room.

"I will now hear any recommendations about how we should approach this situation. Otherwise, you are all dismissed."

The council members looked at him then looked at him. "When will it be assured of our safety is the question in mind. The council can meet now, but you'd come to us." Masoc said.
"Addler is currently missing in action. As of now I grant you the authority to detain Lustre." Shiloh told Mann. "I doubt Addler is the one to blame for 'keeping' him safe. You broke protocals and by law he had to be let free."

"Also," Quincet said. "It would be appropriate to have a 'message from the council' advertisement, telling the people of the safety. Another thing would be GOL. We'd have our personal scientists check out any and all technology before any would be put into a space station. I think it preferable that if a station is set up it should soley be a military one, not under the control of any other governmental group other than the senate and council."

"I must agree," Mann replied as he typed a few words on his PDA, sending a system message throughout the complex. "I have a formal decree of will to ally from the Galactic Online Corporation in my possession, but I wish to give Addler some time to return home safely before I present it. When I have presented it, we may continue talks of such a... Space station."

A directive was sent out to all Zarethian Hand agents ordering the arrest of Lustre.
