Q&A with Monroe

[Queen Bright]

Making sure to stay clear from her own enraged character that seemed to still be pissed off, Regina gestured to Monroe to follow her to the chairs which were all that was left now that the tables were gone. She sat down and crossed her legs, with her clipboard in hadn, "From what I gather of your interview... You seem to be a lawyer, with no real aspirations in life..." Regina looked to Monroe, "Why is that?"

[Forger]

Taking a seat across from Regina and watching as she crossed her legs in front of him, Monroe couldn't help but be amused at how formal and direct she was being with him.  Smiling, but not exposing his teeth, Monroe spoke to Regina casually, more so than he would with John.

"Well, Regina, I'm at a point in my life where I don't really aspire to much aside from what I have right now.  I have a good job with a more than modest income, and I live well for myself.  I don't think there's much more to aspire to than to keep what I already have for myself.  Do you mind if I call you Regina?"

[Queen Bright]

"What else would you call me?" Regina muttered. She never did say her last name did she? "Anyways. You realize you're in a roleplay where everyone and their mother has powers or some means to defend themselves, even if it requires technology, right? What would you do if attacked?"

[Forger]

"Well, I'd either try to defend myself or I'd run.  Any instance of me fighting back would put me in front of a hearing committee, and I'd probably get my license to practice law revoked.  Losing my ability to practice law is not worth attacking somebody else."  This time, Monroe seemed a little more curious than before.  Monroe looked her over once more, trying to figure out what her possible motives might be for her questions.

Regina just looked at him, but made no comment. "This wasn't the question I had in mind," she dropped the clipboard. "But what planet are you from?"

[Forger]

"I'm originally from earth, specifically the old U.S. of A.  It's a bit of a hostile planet, but growing up was alright for me.  I'm just glad I'm out of there now, that I get to travel to different places."

[Queen Bright]

"So you're not completely out of the loop then..." Regina commented. "How do you get around if you're from Earth?"

[Forger]

"Well, my clients are sometimes wealthy enough to provide me with transportation to certain places when the need arises.  Otherwise, I try to settle into different places every once in a while so I can network with different people and see different places.  And if I may ask, what did you mean by completely out of the loop?"

[Queen Bright]

Regina sighed. Reaching down to pick up the fallen clipboard, she then un-clipped the mechanical pencil, flipped to a blank page, and began drawing something. When done, she turned the clipboard around and showed it to Monroe. "This is the Dimensional Plane," Regina pointed to a flat-paper-line plane she had drawn. "On one side is the Negative side where Hell and other negative dimensions are. On the other side is the Positive where our dimensions are. Where most characters get around to other parts and even the other side. You're stuck here." Regina dotted one of the sides of the drawing with a very small dot.

"Earth is only one very small piece of a very large Dimension that's small compared to the existence it sets in. But you're here without magic, or technology, and no aspiration in life but your job. Currently we're in the middle of an event." She dropped the clipboard again. "Plex is trying to take over the entirety of Existence. Where does that leave you? How would you defend yourself if attacked by such characters?"

[Forger]

"Existence, huh?  It seems a little unrealistic, to take over everything that exists.  But regardless, it's not my place to step up and fight back against such people or things.  I'm may not be the best fighter, but I believe that if any one of these people tried to come out and take over my existence, that they would have to bring more than just their intentions to do so.  What I'd do exactly...well, depends on the situation I'm in at the exact moment."

Monroe sat back in his seat, let out a deep sigh as he looked down at Regina's clip board.  "That's a good drawing though."

[Queen Bright]

"Unrealistic? You're saying that here?" Regina stared at him in disbelief. This guys just wasn't getting it. "What part of magic don't you understand? If someone created a blackhole against you, or even used a low level spell. How would you survive?"

[Forger]

"Yeah, I am.  And quite honestly, I'm not thoroughly understood on magic either.  I'm not in a field where magic is a primary concern, unless it directly coincides with matters at hand.  But the way I see it, if somebody is going to use magic as a weapon, it's going to have the same drawbacks as a weapon.  Besides, why try to harm a guy like me, who could potentially get someone like that out of a tight situation?"

This young woman was beginning to make no sense to Monroe.  Despite the fact that she was kinda cute at first, she was obviously cutting it close to being full-on crazy.

"Getting off the topic of magic, why come over here to talk to me?  Out of all the others you could have gone to, you picked me.  Why?"
