Out of the frying pan, and into the fire.
« on: July 11, 2011, 01:46:01 PM »
Side by side, a squad of not two, but three clones appeared. Each was in a different outfit and had a different assignment. Accompanying them on this mission was a genetic experiment group, 20 genetic experiments that were being trained with field experience. The clones were ones that had been created out of the DNA of Lucien. Each clone cast the eagle eye spell allowing them to see far distances and tried to locate where the council building would be. Upon finding it, one of them threw down a crystal that had been enchanted to release a limousine from a pocket dimension. Filing into the limo, they drove it towards the council building. XVI, the 16th clone was in charge of this assignment. The limo would be proofed against any bugs, listening devices, microphones or anything of that nature. It headed towards the council building.

"Our assignment, take Masoc to the White Room. "

XVII "And I am to handle the diversions. "

THe drive continued.

They would be stopped when they arrived at the Council Building. "Halt. What is your business?" Asked the guard.

"Taking Masoc on a little trip." said one of the clones. He then pushed a button on the limo. "We figure this could be educational for him and the rest of the council, but only he is invited. "

"A trip where?" The guard asked suspiciously.

"Somewhere our template discovered...but we are not authorized to reveal more than that currently." said one of the clones.

"And your template being Lucien Dolos? I'm sorry but we need more information then that."

"It involves a lot of technology. That is the amount of information I am authorized to give. It is best if he learned from the trip itself, and not from the information given to him by you. " said the clone, sighing now.

The man sighed. "Please put your weapons here." He said, passing them the bin.

No weapons were with the clones, save one and that could not be even considered a weapon. Rather, instead one of them wore a small watch that had a camera in it, and a force field generator as well downsized to create a disc like shield should things get ugly. Still, the clone wearing it thought best not to spit on tradition and so took off his watch and put it in the bin. The rest had no equipment so to speak of except for an AAM charm, because since they were magical clones an Am field would cause them to fade from existence.  So until they got fixed enough not to require AAM to survive in AM, they would have to use AAM items to get through. Each one had an AAM item on. "Can we keep our AAM stuff?"

One of the clones stepped out of the limousine flanked by 5 genetic experiments, each of them clad in outfits that would not raise a single blip on the weapon scanner as these second skins had been modified so as not to be detected as weapons. Of course per say they were not actually considered weapons just a form of augmentation that did not involve painful surgery or rehabilitation. This was going to be a good mission and so the clone entered, followed by his five guards. The clone of Lucien upon finding the chamber where the council members were waited to be called in so that he could grab Masoc and go and simply pull that off without a hitch. The plan was a simple one, and that was to take Masoc to the White Room and train him or whoever he wanted in the magical arts and the martial arts and recruit Masoc or that one to the squad that was being formed in order to combat the threat level of the Anrufe.

"Next." Came Masoc's old, wheezy voice. Sounding a little under the weather.

Into the chamber walked the clone, part of his mission was to gather the information and see if the weapons requested had been approved or not. The other part of his mission, as much as he dreaded the mission was to accomplish a certain task and that was to introduce Masoc to the White Room and show him around it, the clone did not think he earned such a thing. Still the orders of the template were as law, so the clone walked in flanked by the five genetic experiments. "Hello old friend. Sorry my template couldn't come, I have been very busy as has he. Anyway, down to business. Any word on the weapons requested? Also Masoc, how would you like a tour of a place the rest of the council won't even get a chance to see in their life time?"

"Er... The weapons for Lucien Dolos have been approved, the armor has not. And why, might I ask, can the other council members not come?" MAsoc asked in confusion, the voice sounding a bit familiar but the face not at all.

"Well....."

The clone closed his eyes, the eyes changing color and glowing. A telepathic link with Masoc opened up.

The Anrufe attacked our homeworld. With Assassin no less. And their titan. Luckily the Mechera managed to route them, and due to the increased amount of security only one of the council can come. My template chose you since you had sympathies with the Narrikians. So the armor is not approved....darn. Puts a real kink in Lucien's plans should the Anrufe ever be on your soil and causing trouble while he is there. And the White Room only allows 2 to enter it at a time.

Masoc flinched at the contact with his mind. "Indeed... Yes, well, you can tell the rest of the Council that, I should think. Anything you can tell me you can tell them." He said, watching the clone for his reaction.

"As to why you all cannot come, security due to recent events has been increased in the White Room allowing only 2 in at a time unfortunately, and it is guarded by a legion of Magi-Androids. As Masoc was made into the androids as an exception, and someone not to be targeted that is why he is being taken along. Plus he is unlikely to tamper with anything too dangerous in that place, and there are a lot of dangerous things there. So, I have an offer for you. You let me take him, and I'll give you the tech on the OW so you can stop people from Order Warping all over the place. Seems you have a problem with that recently and I have the solution."

The clone then telepathically asked Masoc.

Do you want your family to come with?

'No Im fine' Was his response. He sighed. "I suppose I can check it out." He said reluctantly.

"He better not be harmed or held hostage." Shiloh warned.

"Don't worry, he won't. "

The clone pulled out a small cube like crystal from his pocket and tapped it twice. Tendrils of energy came out of the crystal and formed a gate way in front of them, a gate way portal that had been pre-constructed by his template to lead directly into the white room to save time, and functioned even under an AM field thanks to AAM.

"Just hope I am not irritating my template. Oh and Shiloh, if Lucien weren't so busy he would talk with you personally later. As it is though he is vastly too busy." The clone tossed the schematics for the mechanical version of Order Warping to Shiloh and then grabbed Masoc with an extend arm spell and tried to push him into the gateway.

Masoc looked at them one last time with a "Oh what have I gotten myself into?" Kind of look as he entered the portal.

Shiloh scoffed.
