Divine pissing contest
« on: July 13, 2011, 02:24:33 AM »

Abaddon stood there at the very top of the tower, his eyes looking out over the great endless lake of this sub-domain in Heaven. It was his own personal paradise in paradise, no one could disturb him here, not even Creation could enter without Abaddon's permission. It was his one, true sanctuary. Serenity was in his eyes, until the mood was shattered as he felt multiple breaks in the walls of his world. Nothing should be able to do that, not without the spark of the Divine, and a pretty bright spark was needed at that.

Aser entered the realm, clad in glowing scaled armor that enimated a golden sheen with a gold sheath at his side. He looked around in confusion.  So this was were the ilk was hiding? Here? Well, he had to admit it had a certain serenity about it. It didnt matter, that serenity was about to be broken. Aser let out his wings, spanning twelve feet, six feet in each direction, bathing the surrounding area in golden light. With a small rustle, he lifted off, causing dirt and sand to billow up below him. He looked at the tower and headed there. It seemed to be the main focal point of the area, after all.
There is only so much pain that can be taken before the bonds and chains of sanity are forsaken
It is in these lonesome times that we reach towards the light sublime
And from that light we pull the resolution of our time
To begin the end and start anew

Shadows formed along the entirety of the area, flowing together into a single mass. It formed into a cloak, as it always did, as a scythe rose from it. From the arms of the cloak came skeletal hands, which gripped the scythe. The face of the figure, however, could not be seen; only orange eyes shone from it.
"So this is where the two fugitives have come? I know not why the Judges hath sent me after them in particular, but by my power, they shall both be brought before the two...Alive, or dead."
His shadowy form was upon the waters, as though they were ground, and even seemed to be a part of the water that simply decided to lift itself up. In any case, the scythe-wielding figure advanced to the central tower, intent upon taking the first of the two.

Abaddon did not waste time, various circles appeared around him as demonic shades began to rise from the ground around him, slightly ethereal in appearance, they looked as nothing but cloaks with a humanoid inside them. Their hands decayed and rotten flesh, these were shades. Denizens that prowled Hell with no goal, no intention other then spreading pain and death. Abaddon was their summoner, and as long as he bound them to this world, he was their master. Dozens of them swarmed out of the tower, seeking out the intruders.

Aser looked at the shades in anger. Furrowing his brow, he brought up ice from the ground itself beneath the shades and as soon as they touched it, it would freeze with them, starting low then moving up, completely encasing them. It would come up and follow them as well. He then set the tower on fire, black fire, moving upwards quickly.

Ye denizens of Hell are not allowed out. Because of your past transgressions that hath ad ye sent there in the first place, I send ye back to whence ye came!" The Reaper said as soon as it saw these creatures. He brought his scythe down, hitting the butt of it against the water, as a rift straight to hell erupted from the waves. His form tore from the waters, beginning to fly. If one were to look up from right below him, they would see nothing within his robes, truly. From the rift to hell, the Shades were pulled, against their will. their entire form stretched, as they were all dragged by the rift to Hell by the Reaper's banishment of them.

But right as they reached the rift they would writhe in pain mid-air, and disappear in a small burst of black smoke. A barely visible sigil covered the entrance to Hell, Abaddon was using them for fuel, his own summons. Within moments all of the shades had been sacrificed, and an infernal spell was ready, blood red fire appeared at Abaddon's feet, racing down the inside, and outside of the tower as it pushed back the black fire with ease. Powered by the very energy that made up those shades. Soon it reached the ground, and spread out all over the island.
