Continuation of A Plane To Remember.
----
Ino screeched as she slid on a random board laying in the hallway and went surfing down on the tile before sliding down a flight of stairs and crashing into the wall. "Ung..."

"Ino?" Orph called down from a stair set above, his shadow elongated on the walls and sent at an odd angle when it hit the corner. "You okay?" he asked, more out of wondering how pissed the fall made her than truly caring.

"No, you fucking moron." Ino stated bluntly as she attempted to unfolded herself from the awkward position she was in. Just as she was about to lift herself up from the hard, cold floor she froze.

Down in the darkness the paint began to peel away revealing picket chicken wiring and dark, blood encrusted wood. The paint that peeled away floated up into the air before disappearing within itself entirely; the noise it made sent cold chills up Ino's spine. And then, the distinguishable sound of bugs crawling and making chirping like noises.

"Oh...shit.." Ino said before she jumped from the ground, slinging the pieces of wood back and into the abyss of bugs as she bolted up the stairs, snatching Orph up by the color of his shirt and dragging him down the hallway.

"What's going on?" K23 called out as the two ran past in a flurry of fear.

"SOMETHING'S HAPPENING." Ino shouted as she bolted out the doors.

Waiting For The End

Six months. It had been six months since the zombies had taken hold of the region. There was no escaping their grasp, either. If you walked far enough in any one direction, you reached a zombie barricade. It was as if they were blocking anyone from coming in... Or leaving.

From the third story balcony of the giant house that the friends called their own, Lyoko222 was waiting... Watching. It was nearly midnight, and he was on guard duty. His spotlight was the only company he had. He kept shining it on different parts of the property, waiting... Watching.

This is not the end, this is not the beginning.

From behind, he heard a squeak in a floorboard and a door open. He jumped, turning around and reaching for his sidearm. When he saw that it was just Hikaru, he relaxed. Everyone was on edge lately. You had to be if you wanted to survive.

"Dammit, Hikaru, don't sneak up on me like that!"

"Sorry," she replied, "Can't sleep."

"Can anyone?" Lyoko222 replied.

"Any sign of them?" Hikaru asked, ignoring his rhetorical question.

"No," Lyoko222 said, "Not on my watch."

"Get some sleep," she replied, "I've got this. You're in the hunting party tomorrow anyway."

"Alright," Lyoko222 replied, "Thanks."

He headed indoors, leaving Hikaru on the night duty now. This was how things were. This was how bad things had gotten. They were everywhere. All they wanted was to infect. All they wanted was to destroy...

And all this group could do was fight.
