Iron Dipomacy

A ship arrived, but outside of the galaxy. A single telepathic message was sent to the planet Maltruse.

Hello?

It was immediately set upon by the Yellow Jackets already deployed. They swarmed from every part of the asteroid field surrounding the Maltruse system, firing off shards of metal from a distance until they got close enough to use their acid cannons.

However their attacks would reach an invisible forcefield type barrier around it. Once more a transmission was sent out.

May I speak to whoever is in charge?

They persisted in attacking. Even force fields would run out of power eventually, after all, and with the hordes of Lorcar Yellow Jackets around, it wouldn't have long before it'd be destroyed.

But as it was not a force field, but more of a barrier and drawing it's vitality from any living things around except the inhabitants of the ships the Lorcar were only feeding the strength oft he barrier, and due to the way it was crafted it would be unlikely to crack or break any time soon and this time a transmission on all frequencies even telepathic was sent, one Delton would be sure to get.

Can you hear us? Please stop this attack.

A massive psychic scream emitted from the Bioship fleet,as telepathic force directly attacked the barrier itself, crushing it with its own force. The sheer amount of telepathic power emitted by the fleet would be enough to destroy it in seconds, likely. And seeing as the Bioships were still within the Maltruse system, while the enemy was outside of it, it wouldn't be able to take the Bioenergy(or whatever) from them to sustain itself. If the pure psychic energy wouldn't work, they'd use the Yellow Jackets, smashing them into the forcefield with surprising might in order to breaking it from all sides. Of course, the Lorcar aren't CRUEL...They'd save the mind of the individual Yellow Jackets, to be reproduced into new bodies. Not THEIR fault they're being used as ammo, after all.

The forcefield type barrier adapted however. All the telepathic power they sent was absorbed and converted into more power for the barrier, as was the kinetic energy of every attack launched against it causing it in reality to do little to no damage against the shields. The ship then entered the Maltruse system and once more sent out transmissions of all varieties.

Of course, the sheer magnitude of what they were attempting to absorb was the downfall of them. This was psychic power, generated by organic supercomputers the size of-and many much bigger than-cities. Attempting to process all of that into a shield without the right equipment made to take that kind of stress would be near impossible. The mere attempt would likely fry their systems, even, causing the total failure of their ship's systems.

OOC:Three-Day rule, I guess?

The shield's attempt at converting the the psychic scream proved to be their downfall, overloading the enemy's systems across the board, causing the entire thing to lose power to all systems as its generator blew and most everything to be damaged prob'ly irrecoverably. The Lorcar bioships nearby went forth, attacking the now-defenseless ship in order to pry it open and seize any survivors-and the corpses of those who hadn't. They'd find SOME use for the remains of the ship, of course, but any chance of repairing it was long gone. Raw Materials, probably, the metallic material of the hull might even be used to decorate the outside of the Brood King's Palace. All they knew was that it was to all be brought back. The Lorcar, after all, were not known for their waste. . .
