One on one battle, please. You pick the setting, I don't care. Sorry Hawk, not you, I always fight you. Want someone else...

Jay Stryder setting the stage.
Neutral ground, an abandoned city. No inherent advantage to either.
I swear not to use freezing.

"Go."

As Zere began his rampage of the abandoned neutral city, used primarily for inter-empire alliances, currently abandoned due to the recent Plexan attack, a large explosion rocked the city, a tall skyscraper exploding. In the center of the city itself, Zere appeared, the Anrufe cloak upon him. To his left and right, two circles could be seen in the air, made of some black energy, constantly spinning around like a wheel.

Merely walking along the street, hat tipped as he came across the remains.
A dark smirk drawn across his lips.
"Across the universe they talk of the man who killed Plex."
He seemingly muttered to himself, his cape flowing in the wind as he began to rise.
"The Warrior Of Light, The Ultimate Templar"
His voice became a little louder as he approached Zere's level.
"Jay Stryder, motherfucker."
Jay lifted his hat to show his face, an almost manic grin across his face as he eyed the man from the Anrufe.
In his other hand appeared a greatsword, pointed at Zere "Here to kick your bald ass."
He floated there, his cape flapping in the wind.

"Zere," he replied, a smile on his face, "The only reason you beat Plex is because I wasn't there to do it first... I should thank you. I would hate that kind of pressure. I might've had to make everything go boom."

The greatsword's blade suddenly found itself fighting against net-like harness seals, green little circles of floating energy which were linked together in the shape of a net. It the sword touched it, whichever part of the sword did would be sealed, chunks of the sword itself "eaten" by the seals.

All across Zere's own body, tattoos began to appear as the figure closed his eyes, his smile fading.

Jays smirk continued to be plastered across his face as the parts of the sword that disappeared almost instantly returned, every single time a seal came across. The sword was repairing itself.
"Bro. You clearly ain't ever seen me in action." Jay chuckled, suddenly he was behind Zere.
He had his handgun directly behind Zere's head and emptied the clip into the sage's head, speeding the bullets through time.
It was clear a being as strong as a sage would be able to survive a basic handgun but hey, sometimes you get lucky but just for insurance, fire burst out of the barrel aswell; Consuming Zere's head.

The tattoos that had surrounded Zere were seals. The moment the fire and bullets touched him, they were absorbed, sealed inside the tattoos themselves before they could penetrate Zere's skin. It still hurt like hell, but by no means was any of it fatal.

Zere's body suddenly turned into a pile of mesh, melting into a black gunk which reached out towards Jay's body, trying to surround his legs. The seals kept growing stronger as they absorbed bits of Jay's sword. They were working faster now, trying to absorb the sword before it could regenerate.

Zere's real body appeared once more, spurting out of the ground on a sidewalk aside, watching as his black gunk went to work.

"Not much of the talkative type huh?" Jay muttered, appearing on the ground before Zere "You're slow."
Jay tired of his sword destroying itself and instead put a short burst of effort into returning it to its original state and literally sealing it in it's original state. As the seals hit the blade now they found themselves incapable of sealing anything; The blade was locked in Time.
The Templar then swung the sword in the air towards Zere as two silver bursts of energy burst out of it; cutting through time and rewinding anything in it's path.

"You're dumb," Zere replied.

The black gunk now poured out of the otherwise useless seals, the seals themselves now acting as portals. The gunk started to surround the sword, hardening around it. As Jay tried to swing it towards Zere, he would find it heavier now and unable to cut into anything. The two silver bolts were trapped within the harden goo, its effects on time seemingly being mirrored by the goo, pushed towards the sword.

Of course, the second the bolts touched the goo the goo reverted into harmless seals.
"Man you are like obsessed with gettin' rid of my sword." Jay laughed, the goo beginning to be rewound in time "You know, seals are boring as all anything. It's been a while since I used jus' magic."
Silver energy encompassed the blade as it disappeared. It would return to the Citadel and go back into it's original state.
The Templar cracked his knuckles "I'mma assume punching you in the face won't work" He grinned "Seriously considering it though."

He smiled. Back to square one, then.

He held out both of his hands, and on the underside of them, black marks began to appear. He glanced down at the ground, as if he were measuring something in his head, and then the black marks, seal circles, shot off his hand and onto the ground as he jumped back about a foot and repeated the process. He ended up lining two columns of nine rows of seals out. When that was done, he smiled as he muttered... Something.

"Metaok!"

From the seals, black lines started to run horizontal across the street. Now, nine lines, running horizontal, were between the two, with two seals in each line.

Jay leapt backwards, generating Temporal Energies into his hands. Once he was at a safe enough distance from the seals he launched a wave of silver energy at Zere, grinning. He also slowed time for himself to ensure he had a higher reaction time.

The moment the silver bullets passed through the SPACE that the lines were drawn across, they became useless. The bolts stopped at the first line. It would only be able to effect time that it interacted with there on that first line. It could not go any further.

The moment that it stopped, the lines began to revert to their original state, just two seals...

But because those two seals had been forced to change states, it reacted accordingly, creating a third seal next to the two on that row. Now, the first line grew back, with three seals instead of two.

"I...." Jay chuckled "Is this a damn joke?" The Templar raised his hands towards the area the seals were in and clapped them together. The area around them and the ground underneath them were enveloped in a silver light before disappearing entirely; Sealed in time until the end of their battle.
"Attack me you son'bitch." He raised his hand again, launching another blast of temporal energy.

But the space that the area was in seemed to be fighting back, as if something had been binded to it, a spell or enchantment of some sorts, something not physical that time itself would not be able to contest. The seals and lines reappeared, with one more seal appearing on each row than before.

"You'll have to do better than that to beat me," Zere informed Jay, smiling, "I AM GOING.. TO WIN!"

As the temporal energy once more reached the first line, the same event as before occurred, with the lines being reverted back to the original seals, and then the lines regrowing with one extra seal.

Jay shrugged.
At that point he was literally behind Zere, firing another temporal bolt at him sped through time.
"I never caught your name." He smirked, appearing in another area in the viscinity behind Zere again, launching another bolt.
"I don't think I especially care though."
This time he was next to Zere again, launching a fireball almost directly into his face.
The Templars cape fluttered in the wind with each movement; It was almost as if Jay were making it a point to seem as flashy and showy as possible.

The three attacks merged where Zere had been standing as he disappeared, reappearing on a nearby building's roof, glancing down to Jay. The roof of the building literally became covered with seals. If Jay was going to try to appear next to Zere again, he would find his feet sealed before he could say "ouch".

This was going to be a long-range fight.

"THE NAME'S ZERE!" he shouted back, "AND I... WANT TO WELCOME YOU TO MY PARTY!"

He broke out in his psychotic laughter as another building near Jay blew, its rubble toppling down towards Jay.

"You're a damn freak." A dark smirk ran across Jay's lips as the rubble came down upon him.
Suddenly as if out of nowhere, the rubble was falling upon Zere instead and Jay was standing arms folded on top of another building "And I pity you."
Jay then sped time up for Zere, as if he were now slow to anyone perceiving the battle. It was clear that he wasn't going to win this battle being sportsmanlike; He'd have to destroy this opponent with all he had.

Zere smiled at Jay's comment, mouthing the words, "Thank you."

As the rubble started to fall down upon Zere, he didn't even move. As rubble started to fall down towards him, his seals began to absorb it, every piece of debris, the seals turning into pieces of paper with strange writing upon them, the "keys" to the seals, so to speak. If one preformed the right spell upon the little pieces of paper, the debris would be unleashed.

The pieces of paper flew up into the sky. In the meanwhile, Zere pointed at Jay's building, a smile growing on his face as two giant seals appeared on the side of the building. New seals appeared around Zere to replace the old ones, as well.

The sky suddenly began to get very dark as the sun was slowly blocked out from view... Something was about to happen.

Jay closed his eyes, breathing in.
Time slowed around the Templar, allowing him more time to react were anything to go down.
He threw his head back.
He had two ace in the holes, two all powerful asskicking things he could do here. All he needed to do was react.

The seals around Zere all surrounded his person now, latching onto his skin, but not sealing him, as he teleported out of the range of the modified rate of time Jay had applied to him just moments before, reappearing on yet another building where the seals latched out, covering the roof. A giant energy barrier surrounded everything within a two building radius of Zere, coated with seals as well.

Now, the rubble started to fall all over that part of the city, having been broken down so much that each drop of rubble was the size of a raindrop. Jay wouldn't be able to dodge this one. The debris was coated with small seals which covered it. Everything the debris rain touched would be sealed.

The dark sky now got a touch of light to it as a giant, red seal the size of a city block, probably visible from anywhere in the city, started to appear. On the ground, a thick mist started to coat the city blocks, its material makeup allowing it to not be touched by the seals. It would make ground visibility near impossible, especially with the dark sky.

As they fell a piercing silver light burst out of Jay's back; Forming into silver wings and pushing his cape up into more of a huge scarf.
The Templar raised his hands as thousands of Templar portals appeared, dragging each stone into a different timeline but keeping them in perpetual motion by hopping them from portal to portal, timeline to timeline.
Jay had pushed himself into the Elder form, giving him a significantly higher level of temporal manipulation.
Silver energies emanated from Jay as his eyes which were once orange were now a pure silver short of his pupils, it was truly a sight to behold.
The ground underneath Jay had a silver circle form on it, temporal energy emitting from it too and fueling the Templar.
He smirked over towards Zere, projecting his voice not only through sound but through time itself "I am so sorry." Was all he said.

But Zere would not hear Jay... Zere moved right as he was shouting, quite coincidentally, out of range of the area he projected his voice. The red circle in the sky started to glow brighter now, growing ever so bigger. Zere's seals once more coated his body, and his form vanished, reappearing in the sky, behind the giant seal, his smaller seals spreading out and coating the air around him, still acting as a shield. Zere began to pour his energies into the red seal, preparing it.

Several smaller seals began to bombard Jay as well, coming from everywhere possible. The rain debris had stopped falling into the Templar portals, the remaining bits exploding in mid air, causing a lot of fires to spread and a good portion of the city to have structural damage, including Jay's building which began to collapse.

The mist on the ground started to intensify now, and the sound of running water started to fill the city. The sound of a screaming girl also echoed from the ground near Jay.

Jay actually remained calm, smiling as each and every seal that tried to bombard him was sucked into a new Templar portal. As the building collapsed below him Jay began floating, still above the circle which remained intact in the air. As the circle poured energy into Jay, Jay poured energy into it. A distortion field materialized around Jay; Anything coming for him would be slowed down and absorbed into a Templar Portal.
To anyone looking at the circle, it seemed to begin distorting from a pure silver circle into what looked like a silver clock face.

Zere had, of course, learned from the debris rain and earlier defensive tactics made by Jay, and had predicted that he would counter with portals. The moment the Templar portal became active, the seals that were raining down towards Jay exploded, the explosion filling the entire area -- his portal would only be able to take in some of it.

The screaming girl on the groud, actually a young, twenty-year-old wearing a light, cotton summer dress, found herself floating in the sky, being lifted up. She was terrified. All over her skin, there were rashes, a result of the mist she had been in. The sound of running water was getting louder.

Suddenly, it happened... Water broke through the concrete of the city streets, skyrocketing up in streams, pillaging buildings. This caused the red circle to glow violently red through the darkness, and suddenly, all the buildings, the debris, the rubble... The entire city, bit by bit, began to fly through the sky, up towards the red circle.

The water on the ground seemed to be the last thing that was coming up, acting as some sort of protection to ensure the city was successfully absorbed.
