Just barely outside the Tefillin atmosphere the Xuna howled to a stop as Caliph held onto his chair for support. All these ships may as well have been prototypes. Silently thanking his ship survived FTL, his crew quickly made a check on the status of the rest of the fleet. No losses, however Ventella?s FTL was now fried. They would not be able to retreat, or go home. Caliph solemnly started issuing his directives, their mission plan underway.

The Qu, Xuna, and the La Plas close to Tefillin?s atmosphere. La Plas ejecting its cannons into a defensive formation around the formation of the Three ships. The Qu and the Xuna getting close to entering the first layer of the Atmosphere, the Qu heading the charge.

Vedo and the Buna held up the rear, coming out of FTL in a high Orbit of Tefillin. Ejecting their cannons, sending them on a offensive motion toward Tefillin, firing at a slow rate at soft target?s on the surface of Tefillin. The ships themselves trying to hang back, out of the line of fire.

Auudi and the Ventella came out of FTL on in low orbit of Tefillin. Ejecting their cannons in a offensive motion at the Planet, hitting soft targets on the surface in slower more powerful bursts then the rear attack. The ship, positioned in the middle of the their Funnel Canons, allowing for a quick switch to defense firing if needed.


Caliph?s hand grasping his chair tightly, hoping they got to low atmosphere quickly. As the crew set in the program for the planned self-destruct, to spread their payload over Teffillin?s surface. The communications said the Qu was doing the same as his Xuna.

They were, however, detected by early warning before they even got close. They were met with a large Battlegroup from the 3rd fleet under the command of Admiral Fletcher. Immediately, the groups Titan began to fire its devastating potentially anti-planet Pulse cannon. It's force would obliterate the enemy contacts.

While the first Battlegroup engaged them, a second one came from their left flank, putting down an "L" formation attack.

Finally, a titan from the 4th fleet came to back up the flanking group.2 titans and numerous super-capitals, they would demolish. Anything foreign that tried to enter the atmosphere was immediately shot and destroyed.

Swiftly responding to the defense Caliph began sending his orders. The Vedo and the Buna were destroyed by the  Anti-planet Pulse cannon in mere seconds. The Qu sustained heavy damage but was able to roll with the pulse, surviving the attack. The Xuna retreated in a random quick jump FTL, without set coordinates, there was no telling where the Xuna went.

The rest of the ships received their orders. Everyone else except the Qu and the Ventella Entered FTL on a collision coarse with Teffillin. Chances are, these city sized ships would act as a devastating attack directly onto the planet own climate. In directly colliding with the planet, in FTL avoid any chance of defending against it. The Marid Gems that were the crew of this ship having a small chance at survival.

The planet's shield generators kicked online, opened up portal shields in the low atmosphere below the enemy ships. Any attempt  to get through would result in being transported to a pocket dimension. Even with the FTL, the ships would be trapped.  To ensure the safety of the citizenry, the other shield generators opened up particle shield generators right in front of the enemy ships. All this happened in a split second.

The FTL enabled ships would find large, firery hands in their engine rooms, ripping apart the FTL engines.


Three Olympian class ships followed the other ship's flight path.

Moral of the story: don't mess with the Zarethian empire. Even they're automatic defenses will mess you up!

The last remaining ship of the Marid in this system was the Qu. Its nameless captain triggered the eradication of all the mater that made of their vessels by remotely causing the critical mass of the near undamaged reactors. Exploding in balls of strange luminescent  light. Even its payload was scuttled to complete molecular dissociation. Effectively destorying any evidence of the Marid's reckless invasion. Lost to time was thousands of Marid, more than had died in thousands of years. The homeworld reaction to this cannot be fathomed at this time. However, every event has its effects on those associated with them. The Marid people would not come out of this unchanged.

Unfortunately, that was not entirely true. Salgren Keflavik, a fighter pilot was in the habit of recording his battle sequences with the positioning, and aiming material so he could asses his battle. It was a tactic he used for improvement, but now it would mean that there was a rock solid case against these invaders.
