Because I don't want to be called out on godmodding, since it's a really far out idea, and would probably get a bitch-out from Gaser.
And because it's not magic, but is magic, and yet not tech, but uses science.

A form of anti-magic in taking the form of a force, in the loose-meaning of the word.
Basically,
A magic user can opt to empty out all of their magic from their soul, through meditation and giving it back to life, or by painfully draining themselves of magic. Through this process they make their soul and body a literal vacuum of no magic.
By doing this, they rid themselves of magic, but gain Nihil Magic a form of Anti-magic, by deep meditation and focus on the virtual particle-antiparticle pairs that fill a vacuum of empty space. (See QED Feyman's theory on empty space for more information.)
Once the they complete the meditation of (Insert how many days it takes here. I'm thinking a 1000 years,) and have grasped the particles of "nothing," their soul adapts to it and uses it like it once used magic, adapting this nothing, this Nihil magic of anti-magic.
Need a better explanation? Then go ahead, challenge it. I've done the research.
Because it is a form of anti-magic that is a force of magic but not magic... Like Mater and Anti-matter colliding creates an annihilation effects, so would magic and anti-magic at intervals, depending on the strength of the spell cast to it. Because it is not true magic, and flows independantly and automatically through the soul, AM field would not supress it, as it would not detect it as magic or energy. (Since it's the stuff that makes up nothing, the opposite of existance/magic.)
But also, just as anti-matter acts like matter, being the opposite of matter, anti-magic "Nihil," would act like magic, being the opposite of magic, so it would be a force to use against magic and tech.
Basically a damn powerful force of magic, that can cancel out magic and get through AM fields.
Now, go ahead, argue me.
