Around the entire barren planet an AM field would activate. A ship was in orbit and projecting AM as it beamed down what amounted to a large army of automatons. For you see, the IG had not completely given up on collecting sage DNA. A transmission was sent to the planet below. All those sages among you gather together in one area. Once you do, and the sages contribute their DNA samples, the AM will be deactivated.

Nobody listened to them, and in fact, a few ground-to-space missile systems were brought out. These people were outcasts, loners, anarchists, and they wanted their community to survive. They would help one another, because thats the kind of people they were. Any Sages were helped to hide as the people who were bringing out their missile systems took aim and locked on from the ground...All without a single message being sent to the above ship.

When the missiles were sensed, a force field activated. Two muramasa beams were fired, one of which would strike where the missile launcher was and likely leave a large crater if it hit the missile launcher. The other beam was aimed at Vincent's house, likely to destroy it.

So the missile system, and house of vincent were both reduced to craters.  All magic users on the planet were rounded up, their DNA was sampled and then the automatons were beamed up. The Am field disengaged and the ship left the area, although two places on the planet had been reduced to craters.

The missile launcher was destroyed, the people operating it diving to safety when it hit. They kind of expected that, either way, though, but they didn't expect the destruction of the home of the person who rightfully owned this planet. At that, a S.O.S signal was sent by several of the people who lived here, for any willing and able to help to receive...

"Anyone reading this, we are the citizenry of the planet located at coordinates 19342/213792, also known as the Barren Planet. There is a unknown attacker who has demanded we surrender ourselves for what we must presume is slavery, for them to harvest our DNA for some unknown purpose. We are requesting assistance, please send aid. We do not have much, but will offer payment with what we have if desired. Please help us, our small amount of missile defenses have been destroyed already! Repeat, we are the citizenry..."
They repeated the message a few times, having it on a loop, and looked for cover. A few of the more noble people living on the planet, and had residences with AB, AP, and AT technologies active, put these fields to the highest-area setting and alerted people to get into the area covered by the fields, helping those without safety from abduction to get into cover.

Seconds later the large Armada came from slipspace. They immediately fired the Pulse Cannons at the attackers.

The moment the DAIS Fleet arrived, the other fleet retreated, without the DNA samples. The mission was a failure.

OOC:Original post is uneditted, Hawk...It still says Sages(which is still perfectly reasonable because you may indeed have had misinformation either way). And what he was sayin' was it wouldn't matter, because the post you were three-day-ruling only said you were destroying those two places.
