A press release was scheduled from Eric Mann, outside the Heart Of The Council, down about a block as to not disturb activity. Many media outlets as well as simply curious citizens gathered to hear what Eric Mann had to say.
"I'd just like to say," he explained as he took the stage, "That I appreciate everyone's concern during my much publicized house arrest. I would like to echo the sentiment that I have done absolutely nothing wrong. My political advisers did not want me to make this speech, but I think you all deserve to know the truth. I was wrongly accused of murdering a man who is well alive.
"That said, due to my disagreements with the council, I have been asked to step down as head of the Zarethian Hand. Assistant Director Hermitage is now acting director, and I fully expect the Council to name him as Hand Director next week. He is a very close friend of mine, and I wish him luck in running the Hand.
"I will now be devoting my full attention to my campaign. As you all know, we have our first debate of the race coming up soon enough. A lot of exciting things are happening now. I am also still remaining aboard the INTERPOL as Agency Supervisor. That said, you will be seeing a lot more of me, Tefillin.
"I would like to thank all my supporters for everything you're doing for me in this time. Thank you."
He walked away from the Press Release, denying to answer any questions, to his limousine, stepping inside.
