The Void's Master
« on: September 22, 2011, 10:59:56 AM »
The android that went by many identities and had been designed from the brain wave patterns of one of the most brutal men in the empire did not remember his past. Checking the logs that had been installed in his memory banks he remembered of another planet that had highly advanced tech and remembered something that he could do besides wonton destruction. If he integrated enough technology into himself there was a chance that he could find his creators once more. So Ares smirked and then  used the power of the Jacket. The jacket was a relic from the White Room that he had done some improvements upon and he faded into the shadows.

Surveying his surroundings Ares noticed the planet was fairly technological. Good. With his creators gone he would have to use what he could and find out about the various ways to leave the dimension and also work on solutions to the many problems of groups that were terrorizing what remained of the race that had created him and their allies. With that in mind, he began to walk towards a nearby village in hopes of finding out more information. However, he was currently giving off no magic signature as he had been smart enough to suppress said signature.

"This time I shall not fail."

The village Ares approached was a small Fioan village, not especially kitted out with technology or defenses short of the one building in the center of the village which was huge and had installed on it various Fioan weaponry- This was clearly some sort of policing station.
As it was the middle of the day, children were playing in the streets and various vendors were selling their wares.
As he came close to the village he was stopped by a 10 foot tall mech suit- A Fioan Guard in a CREATURE class battle suit.
"Good afternoon, sir. Welcome to the village of Karto. I am required by Fioan law to remind you that any lawbreaking on your part may result in lethal force being taken against you." The Guard noted in an authoritative tone.

The moment he was approached by a creature in a 10 ft tall mech suit, the programming inside of Ares to adapt foreign tech and store it in his data banks engaged.  During his reprogramming his creators had forgotten to remove the programs they had put that would have him adapt to other technologies and make plans that would allow him to survive against other pieces of tech.  Wherever his creators were, he hoped it was somewhere much safer than the SP-verse but for now he would not find out. This tech however was something of interest as it likely packed a great amount of firepower inside of it. "What is that mech suit you are wearing? May I perform analysis and vulnerability removal on said suit? Also what are the laws of this planet? What planet am I on? What Galaxy is this?"

"This is a government issue battle suit and no, you may not." The guard informed, sending a report of this to the central station "It is not my job to recite the laws of the land to you, merely to enforce them. If you wish for information I suggest you find the tourist center sir."

Rebuked by a guard, and not knowing the laws of the planet Ares walked into the village. Activating his MWCA that was on his hand he formed a gnarled looking walking stick for himself and began to walk through the village, merely observing. The people here were clad differently than him, and that was something that astonished him.  Seeing one of the clothes vendors, Ares walked over to it and asked something in basic.  "What kind of currency does your stall require?" The gnarled walking stick was still in his hands and it was no good as a weapon just as something he was using to support himself. He had forgotten to oil his joints this morning.

The old dog Fioan at the stall looked over Ares "What've you got?" He asked gruffly, leaning against a walking stick himself "We usually take Lenere, can take credits but it'll cost ya a little extra."

"Explain to me what Lenere is, and where I may obtain some of this Lenere for myself."

The android had been programmed to catalog the sentient races into his databanks so that if they were to die out he would at least have information on them and could send it to wherever their point of origin had originally been that they had been killed off. The tech of the creature class suit he did not know about and yet the size of said thing still weighed heavily on his mind.  The android did not at present have any credits on his person having been foolish enough not to bring any to this planet.

"Also, are there any deserted areas on this planet where very few people dare go?"

"It's money." The vendor's brow furrowed "Is this a joke, son? I'm a busy man, if you're not gonna buy anythin' then leave."

"Fine. I'll take those..." said Ares, seeing a set of combat boots that would fit his size perfectly. Boots would help with this walk as a walking stick was only support but boots would help prevent sand or other undesirable things from getting into his body and damaging it. "And pay you with?." A portal opened near him and he began to reach in. "Ah here it is."  Snatching a bag of silver coins, he handed it over to the old dog Fioan. While he had the portal opened, he pulled out his oil can as well and prepared to oil himself closing the portal. The silver had no traces of magic on it whatsoever and were ordinary silver coins that had no enchantments on them or anything.  "So will that be sufficient payment?" asked Ares as he began to oil his knees and joints with the oil can.

The vendor opened the bag and bit down on one of the coins "Hm... Yes, this will do." He said, sitting down on a stool and putting the bag into his own coinpurse "Anything else?"

"No. I believe that about covers it."

The android known as Ares, originally programmed over his personality to be a diplomat to the K Empire decided that his programming had been outdated. Of course given that he had a Narrikian mind but was inside an android shell and could use magic that was pretty easy to determine. The android walked over to one who sold various swords and other styles of weapons in the vendor area. A weapon would be needed that did not rely on his own power supply so that he could fight if the need should arise for him to do such, without his technology that he would normally rely on.

Observing the wears of the person, Ares looked at the man for a moment and then asked. "So are these for sell to off worlders or just to inhabitants of this planet?"

"It's a sword, buddy." At this stall was a young adult fox Fioan, his long red hair reaching down to his shoulders over a black t-shirt and jeans combo "If you've got the cash, you can buy it." He laughed

"How about instead of paying you with cash, I pay you with a new material for your blades?" asked Ares and he held out his hand. A bar of Aionis appeared, and he offered it to the man. "This material is very durable and has an AAM property to it, will regenerate over time and can absorb non magical energy. I think it is more than sufficient payment if you are willing to accept. Besides, I am a bit short on cash at the moment." Ares was indeed short on cash and dared not to use magic to magic up some cash for himself that this planet would accept. Possibly that would be considered violating one of their laws and he could not at present go up against that guard yet.

The guy could not trade, and demanded currencies. Okay, so he was not allowed to trade. That did irk Ares but only a little and so he walked a good distance away from the man clad in the new clothes which were covering the old ones beneath his. What he now wore was a leather jacket, combat boots, black leather jeans and he had a sheath on his back for what he was about to make. The guy had said that he could not trade but Ares had other ideas on the matter.  His hand went out and a forge appeared near him and a hammer as well.  The Aionis became a liquid form of itself and went into the forge.  Cold and hot air hit the metal as he hammered it into the shape that he desired.

Today would be the start of his legacy. But this time, the blade would not be a duplicate of anyone?s but his own original design. The metal began glowing and Ares pulled out the elemental gem that he had found on one of his looks around the White Room. With this crystal, he could cause the blade of the scimitar to ignite with fire and light at will. The blade would be quite useful and would be quite the original sword that he himself had designed.

The blade was now finished and Ares began to do the last part of the work on the sword. This part of the job he always hated but glyphs formed on the blade.  The Glyphs on the blade would allow him to use it in a sense as a storage container thanks to the gym.  The blade was only the first of many ideas that he had that could prove beneficial. Finally, he was finished with his work. The sword Incendia had been forged. The first of a set of blades soon to be legend.  "One down, several to go." Adding power to his sheath, Ares made it resistant to the power of his blade. He then slammed the blade into the holster on his back. Walking towards the next village, on the way Ares magicked up some more silver and gold.

Since he was still well within the middle of the city there were many onlookers- He wasn't breaking any laws but he was drawing attention to himself.

The purpose of the Forge had been served, his weapon had been made. Down into the ground the forge went sealed by Ares until such time as he would need it and only he could call this particular forge forth as that was the nature of the seal he had made.  The blade would still need a test run, and then Ares got a smirk and levitated off of the ground into the air well above where anyone who could possibly be hurt by his attack could be.  Two floating platforms materialized, and on one of them were 30 or so of the Magi-Androids and he stood on the other.  The people could watch, but they would not get hurt due to the barrier he had surrounded himself and the Magi-Androids with. His hand went to the sword, while the Magi-Androids readied what little offensive attacks they could perform.  Out of his sheath the blade slid and he readied himself.

"Fire Edge!" At that moment, Ares would appear to disappear. The 30 would fall to the bottom of the barrier in half, but not hit anyone and would have been having burn marks as well as a clean cut mark and Ares would reappear on the platform where they used to be. The sword would be cleaned off, and then he would re-sheath said blade. "Yep. This will do quite nicely. Now to move on, and find that information location that guard told me about."   The parts levitated up off of the barrier?s bottom, beginning to form a suit of knight like armor for himself.  The armor would be like he was, part light and part dark. Two colors in particular came to mind and that was crimson and silver.  "The first step has been made." The armor formed over his garments, integrating with the MWCA tech and becoming a new armor for himself.

The service of the barrier no longer required, Ares merely blinked and it dissipated.  Removing the armor from himself with a thought he willed the armor and used his nanites to make it happen so that the armor would turn into a sort of hover-board for himself. He flew over to one of the people and asked them politely in Fioan. "Where is your information center on this planet?"

So the kid was unresponsive. Maybe he should have made that barrier opaque instead. But hey, at least he had a new sword to show for it right? So he began to walk, carrying hoverboard under one arm and with the gnarled walking stick from earlier in his hands.  He started to head out of the village, and on his way to the next one on the planet wherever that could be. A goal was in his mind, a goal of handling this madness once and for all. Wherever his creators had went, Ares needed to find out.

And so he did walk for roughly 20 miles until he reached a huge stone bunker with large steel doors in the front. There were no windows but a single red protrusion coming from the stone just above the doors.

Ares closed his eyes, extended his senses and tried to feel if anyone is inside the bunker. If they were, he would send them a message asking them to open the door of the bunker for him. If no one was inside, his walk would continue.  If someone was in there, and did not respond to a question he would ask them it would seem he would have to use another method, that of an MWCA to enter the armored bunker type building and so he asked. "Is anyone home?"

A barrier was standing in his way.  So Ares put his hand on the steel door and concentrated letting his construction nanites shoot out of his body into the steel door.  They began to apply an AM property to the building, hopefully to cancel out the barrier of whatever sort was inside of it. This was one technique he did not know he could do. "Let's see if I can sense it after the AM goes down."
