Raid
« on: November 28, 2011, 12:46:47 PM »
Five ships would arrive near the Mexta Space Station, cloaked and invisible to most scanners possibly cloaked from the scanners of the place thanks to magic that had been used to generate the cloaking. On board one of the ships was the leader of the Galaxy Blasters, Will Atlas a former Mechera Empire Citizen who had embraced the path of piracy. You see, today they were going to hit up the Mexta Space Station and steal some prototype technologies for their own personal use. Yeah, being a pirate was good. On board one of them, a crew generated a silence field which would block all communications of any variety coming from the station so they would not be able to call for help.

The mages on board quickly sensed the magic signatures of those approaching and, as such, could locate the enemy ship. They began preparing defenses. Three layers of a barrier surrounded the station, within a couple miles radius. Offensive weapons began to lock on the magic signatures of those approaching.

The barriers would meet a heavy offensive of muramasa beams, which bypassed them. The Muramasa Beams would strike the station directly since they went through a kind of hyper space window to do so. The weapons that locked on would find themselves firing into nothing for the people had created a warp void around each of the ships that essentially contained a copy of their own magical signatures, but sent the fire to totally random locations throughout the Mortal dimension. Portals would open in the station and sleeping gas would start to replace the air in the station. In addition to that, out of each portal that led into the station would fall several dozen flash bang grenades.

The station defenses prevented incoming portals by redirecting the portals to random points in space. The station gravity fields began to distort th incoming beams, sending all incoming attacks back towards the enemy... But... The warp void would be a problem. It had to be dealt with.

Energy absorbing machines, fondly known by the Anrufe as EAMs -- basically giant thermises -- shot towards the ship defenses, intent on absorbing the energy which powered the void.

As the beams would be distorted back, they would be altered once more with Arcana and redirected at the EAMS, and machine guns and rail guns on the ships would also open fire at the EAMS before they had a chance to siphon any energy. The distortion field would continue to exist and slowly but surely mist would replace the air in the station but not your normal average every day mist. No, this mist was special and something that was unique and had recently been thought of by Will as it was sort of like a paralytic/sleeping gas combination but much worse. It froze the nerves of the body preventing any sort of movement for 72 hours. This mist began to fill the air of the Mexta Space Station and a single transmission would be sent to the computers of the people there so they would know how dead they were.

Surrender all schematics and technologies you have in your possession. Otherwise we shall blow up the station and everyone in it.

The Muramasa Beams began charging at an alarming rate in order to deal with the Mexta Space Station now that it had sustained enough damage. All the ships moved into a flank formation so that they were shaped together like a reverse V. Each one of them locked their weapons systems onto the station and prepared to open fire.

The EAMs simply absorbed the incoming energy, furthering it's purpose. It absorbed kinetic energy of incoming fire, slowing the impact of ballistic weaponry. The air in the station would not be changed as the defenses were still redirecting incoming portals, and there were still large barriers between the ship and the station. Several more EAMs were launched, ready to absorb incoming fire.

With defenses taken care of, the Anrufe began their offensive tactics. One or two EAMs which were not ready to absorb incoming fire were hard at work taking down the enemies void around their ship.

Each attempt to bring down the void would end in failure, as the crew shifted tactics. Rather than use portals, they used beaming instead to beam a canister of sleeping gas into the place where most of the life signs had been detected on the ship. This happened after they put anti teleportation and anti-portal enchantments on it so it could not be removed that way, and also made it impervious to being transmuted.

The EAMS were something that would need to be dealt with and so the EAMS would be practically swallowed by portals launched at them, sending them to the sun in the Sol System which would cause them to be burnt to a crisp and destroyed that way. This would happen to every EAM the Anrufe sent out so the EAM tactic would be useless.

Now to disrupt the barriers, a construct of a sword slammed into the barriers several times using MWCA technology that had recently been incorporated. Missiles and Muramasa Beams were fired through portals at the barriers and the station. In addition, a spell crafted to work like the EAMS was used against the barriers so that it could eat all the energy of the barriers, and the energy of the ones casting the barriers until they were nothing but an empty husk. The silence field, and void warp continued to exist since the EAMs were all gone now.

The beams still had to get past three layers of shields. While they tried and failed at that, the EAMs were also changing tactics, continuing to work on the enemy void. Meanwhile portals launched at the EAMs would be absorbed as well. Anrufe Tower Time Suns began to charge up, in preparation for an attack.

All the incoming beams were absorbed by EAMs. Portals were easily distorted. The sword, on the other hand, would not be so easy to get rid of. From the station, a CASSY beam came flying towards the sword, ready to shrink it down.

Seeing that they could not win this day, the ships made a hasty retreat but did a little tampering and left a powerful and destructive spell behind. This spell was something that could not be broken down by the EAMS as it was not energy. It was a decay spell that would cause the entire station to undergo massive amounts of damage. The shields would be weaker for the next time the Galaxy Blasters returned to attack mused Will Atlas, and so his team had left. The Silence Field was still there, but it dissipated as did the void warp when all five ships had successfully went away.

The decay spell merely took out the already temporary three barriers.
