Home Of The Ancestors

"Let's go," K2323 suggested, looking over to his time-traveling friend.

He didn't understand how or why, but he could feel several other people like him around. He could feel other Genesis Dragon Sages -- a rare breed of which he thought he was the only one left. Hikaru was gone, Kai was dead, Koty was dead, and his grandfather had vanished off the face of the dimension... But then, they weren't in the Mortal Dimension anymore.

As K2323 started down the hill towards the big city gates, he could hear... Feet hitting the ground. He turned his head to the left to see, out in the distance, several horses with riders in metal armor riding out of the city on a path that led deep into a nearby forest. How peculiar... Where... Where are we?

"I really wish I could give you spoilers man" Jay jested "Kinda against the rules but I could possibly let you peek into whats going on." He genuinely nodded to K2323 as a book started forming in his hands "I mean I ain't looked yet but we can if you like."

Suddenly, Jay's form began to be pulled out of this Genesis Kingdom... Mysteriously. It was as if he were not meant to go any further, and some type of fate was telling him. K2323 sensed this, and he looked up to the sky, then to Jay, who's form was fading, blinking.

"I think I have to do this alone... Do me a favor. Take care of my wife. Tell her I love her."

"...I gotta say, I hate the universe." Jay chuckled as he faded "I'll be watching you in here. Just to keep up to date and junk." With that he disappeared.

K2323 looked forward towards the walls of the kingdom ahead and got down on one knee. He could feel it now, much more clearly... He could remember seeing this place before. No, not in person -- not really. But he had seen it because his ancestors had seen it, and he knew where here was. He knew what was inside, who was inside, and why they were inside... At least, he thought he did.

It was right after the encounter with his sister in the Spirit Realm. She had approached K2323 and Kai as they had been in the council of their father, and with a smirk, she had revealed everything to them. To K2323. Everything that Kai and his father seemed to already know... Hikaru had been the one who had killed them. She had killed all their family -- destroyed their birthplace.

But now he and his brother were past that. They would soon be receiving their Genesis Magic -- the magic that Hikaru had locked away deep within them. With this magic, they would claim the legacy that had been left for them. With this magic, they would end the struggle that they had been fighting against their sister for days now. No -- with this magic, they would end the struggle that their ancestors had fought -- the struggles of the dragons and phoenixes.

The room was white. K2323 was slightly afraid, though he could see that his brother was a lot more confident as he plopped down in one of the two chairs at the table that presented itself as the only furniture in the small room. K2323 approached the other seat and occupied it. On the table before them sat a crystal ball. Clear... At first. But then, a picture began to appear within it.

And it showed them. It showed them everything.

That was the first time that he saw it... The Genesis Kingdom.

From behind him, K2323 heard a voice. It was familiar to him, though he wasn't exactly sure why. It spoke clearly, and yet, here he was, not exactly sure what was going on. Slowly, he turned to see the figure of Mokai.

"Hello, my grandson."

"G-grandfather? This is what you meant, isn't it? In the letter that you wrote to us."

"Yes... Come, K2323. It's time to begin your training," Mokai responded.

Mokai outstretched his hand to K2323, and he stopped for a moment, looking at his grandfather, thinking. If he took Mokai's hand and joined him -- to begin training... It would mean, at least for now, leaving behind everyone he loved. His sons, his wife... And he had fought so hard to get them back. He had JUST gotten them back after years and years of fighting, of searching... Could he really leave them now?

"I c-"

"Before you say something you will regret," Mokai replied, "The only way to take care of those you love is to be able to protect them... And with what lies ahead, you will need help to do that. I can give you help."

K2323 sighed. There was no avoiding it... With a deep breath, he outstretched his hand to Mokai's and grabbed it... And then, everything flashed to white.
