Ello Gov'na
« on: January 08, 2012, 07:07:03 PM »
The gates of the Heart Of The Council were well within sights to the hooded sage, his magic signature lowered, as he tried to blend into the crowd. He slowly approached the gates, sizing up the ZPAA guards who stood before it. He knew what would be required of him to get inside. And he would not hesitate to do such a thing.. After all, this sage was none other than Zere, co-leader of the Anrufe.

In an all to eloquent yet concealed motion, Zere cast a spell. A seal appeared in transparent ink on the ground under the ZPAA soldiers guarding the gate. They wouldn't notice the seals, nor would anyone else. A matching, inverted seal appeared on Zere's own hand. To these soldiers, he would appear to not exist. They would not see him, sense his magic signature, feel his heat... It was as if he were not really there...

He created a small space-time warp to allow him to get onto the other side of the gate, at which point he continued walking towards the entry to the Heart of the Council.

(Sorry, didnt notice this) The problem was that there are cameras. Everywhere. And there arent very many people going to the Heart of the Council on a good day. So, whilst Zere completely baffled the Zarethian guards who stood outside the gate, the cameras should still spot him despite his lowered magical signature. A minute drone flew up to him and the electronically modifified voice of a tired sounding Zarethian female eminated from it.
"Halt, who goes there? Be warned, ignoring this message will result in immediate threat level advancement."

Zere turned to the drone and lifted the hood off his head, revealing his face. The Zarethians would know who he was, and even if they didn't, their intel had detailed logs on each of the members of the Anrufe. Zere wasn't just a member, he stood beside Chaos as leader. He was a dangerous sealist... And above all else, he was insane. This was the man who had destroyed entire races, blown up entire planets. He had been a member of the World Without Boundaries.

It was the man who had trained Sage Three Hikaru Tyris -- and raised her. It was the man who had proceeded some time later to attack a stadium full of people during the Excel Tournament, in which he killed Sage Three K2323 -- al beit temporarily -- and released a reign of terror upon the Kingdoms. And he did this all by taking control of Sage Three Kai. Yes, Zere was a very dangerous man.

"Hi there, are you going to play with me?" Zere said aloud, smiling at the drone before breaking out into a psychotic laughter.

A personal AAM field surrounded him as he teleported into the Heart itself.

The building was promptly locked down, AT, AM and AP fields raised at the flick of a button, though it wouldnt do much good considering he was probably inside. The building itself sealed the various doorways and passages sealed themselves whilst Zarethian ZPAA soldiers appeared in the tiny gap in the forcefields, directly into the hallway outside the council chamber.

While the ZPAA engaged in searching for Zere, he used his advantage of AAM and stealth to slip through various cracks, often finding himself having to use his magic to bypass certain defenses. He was careful not to give himself away, lurking in the shadows. An electronic transmission of some sorts -- a radio signal, apparently from inside the building, was broadcasting on a secure, untraceable frequency.

"Bet you can't catch me!"

His AAM was simply more of a way for them to track him. It operated as a bubble in the AM field which disclosed his current location to the scanning systems. ZPAA troopers continued searching for him as the drones shone light on the 'dark corners' of the world.

Admiral Hermitage, the current Director of the Zarethian Hand, was immediately on scene along with the Hand's Homeland Intervention Response Unit. The ZPAA troops were greeted by HIRU Operatives, and by Director Hermitage himself.

He approaches the nearest officer. "Admiral Regis Hermitage, Director of the Hand of the Council. Situation Report."

The soldiers saluted. "An intruder, identified as Anrufe Operative: Zere is somewhere inside the building. His current position is marked where there is a hole in the AM field. We think he is here for the council, but we are unsure."

Hermitage nods to the soldier. "HIRU troopers are going to take up breaching positions on all entrances. We must not let any harm come to the Council. Get your men..." he is suddenly cut off by a familiar voice over the BattleCom channel on his communicator.

"This is Fleet Admiral Sora to any and all ships stationed at Teffilin. Attack immanent! Multiple contacts incoming to the planet. Any and all batteries, you are to blast anything that doesnt look like one of my ships out of the sky, thats an order!" she calls over the radio.

"Roger, Admiral. Planetary Defense Batteries are online, and ready to fire." a Zarethian Officer calls through.

Hermitage types something into his Comm screen.

The soldiers reacted with disgust but set back to their work of finding this man. They found the hole in the AM field and searched for him, prepared to shoot to kill.

...But maybe that's just what Zere wanted.

He caught on to their way of tracing him (it wasn't very hard, after all, as Zere was not stupid) and used this to his advantage. Throughout the Heart of the Council, several "fake" holographic Zeres appeared, not a single one more than a projection of light, but each surrounded by the same AAM field as that which Zere had around him. Now, they'd have a much harder time of finding the "real" Zere, especially with each Zere slyly moving through the shadows.

Several seals appeared throughout the Heart of the Council, each surrounded by the small AAM fields, ready to explode on command from Zere himself, or in the event that he was somehow captured. Once more, he sent out a transmission throughout the council, scrambled from different locations throughout the building as to prevent detection.

"My, my, my.. It seems we have the Zarethian Hand director present. Yes, I see you, Director Hermitage. Nice of you to join the games. I'll need you to depart the building, and take the ZPAA with you. Lower all defenses."

Hermitage smirked... "I cant do that Zere. You know that!" he calls out. The HIRU operatives continue to search the building... Hermitage looks at the original hole, which he had been keeping a close eye on, on his holopad.

"Team 1, Reporting in... They have what look like seals of here in the west wing." a HIRU Operative ccalls through.

"Same here!" another team calls in.

"This is Team 3, Council is secure. They've been teleported out to RZ staging point Omega. How copy, Admiral?" Team 3 calls in.

"Hard Copy Team 3... All teams, continue to search the building." Hermitage responds.

Outside, the entire block was locked down, and the Capitol had been evacuated. Local PD were keeping the streets blocked off, as the PDF Marines began to pour into the Capitol and establish a parameter around the Heart. The Heart's ZPAA troopers, and the HIRU teams, continued to search.

"Zere, we're all grown men here. We can talk this out" He calls out to him again.

Again, Zere himself was over all too cocky in his ability to sneak around the heavily defended, heavily monitored Council building. After all, there were cameras everywhere and its not as if it was spectacularly dark. As he wasnt incredibly hard to find, several drones found him and his holograms.

The drones began to fire pulse shots at Zere because they found him. One also shot an AM injecto-net.

OOC: I posted that I would be taking a break from IC posting for a bit, I've been quite sick, but continued posting OOC to not stall requests. But okay, this works too. =D

The AM and other projectiles really didn't stand a chance with Zere's AAM field over him -- seals wrapped around them and absorbed them the moment they got within range of him. He smiled at the drones... Perfect. They had found him, just as he had anticipated -- no, just as he had planned, and right on time too.

"Shut it down," he said out loud, as if he were talking to someone else in the room.

With marines and ZPAA, as well as Hermitage and several others in the building now, and the council gone, Zere did not attempt to escape. Quite the contrary. He watched with amusement as a second layer of Anti-Teleportation and Anti-Portal fields appeared around the base, one controlled on Zere's end. The AAM fields on the walls began to expand, as did the seals themselves, coating not just the walls, but also the main entrances... In an attempt to keep anyone from leaving, or anyone else from coming in.

The drones would quickly meet their fate. As Zere's AAM field continued to expand throughout the Heart of the Council, they were encompassed in it, and set afire, a result of some seals which Zere summoned upon them.

And where were all these fields coming from? Zere reached into his robes, pulling out a small, black box. He placed it on the ground in the narrow hallway he was in, and it began to grow larger in size. And as it grew larger in size, so too did the fields which Zere had erected. This was a field generator. Around it, various shields were deployed. Zere smiled at it's beauty and netted it in various seal casings for extra protection before slipping away once more.

With the AAM fields quickly surrounding the entire Heart, it would be harder to detect Zere still. And now, there was no escaping. For anyone.

His voice once more echoed...

"You should have left when you had a chance, Hermitage!"

The drones would not meet their demise, in fact, the fire did little, if anything to them. These drones were those designed to explore space and withstand the heat of suns, a mere fire would do little more then light them.

The pulse shots were minute, extremely small particles and fired from .35 the speed of light. It is highly unlikely that Zere could react quickly enough to put seals on all of them before they contacted his body and exploded him like some sort of sick balloon. Those that missed Zere would hit the shielded system, if it was even called in due to Zere being unable to handle the extremely fast and tiny projectiles.

The pulse shots were sealed in a wave of seals -- like a rush of water washing over them. Zere was faster than most -- he was, after all, a sealist, which did involve speed -- but of course, one of the shots had gotten through, and at impact, Zere's body seemed to suddenly distort itself, turning into mesh, some sort of liquidish blob of melted skin and bones, which proceeded to bubble before restructuring itself into his body. He seemed to be fine and uninjured now -- as if the pulse had been deconstructed before it could hit Zere, along with his body, but he had a serious scowl on his face as his generator began to rise and the fields began to expand.

"Die," Zere scowled at the drones, new seals enveloping them like nets that would begin to drain their power.

The drones began to shimmer in the air as the seals appeared around them and the advanced AI in the drones switched on portal shields at the last minute, except for one which promptly put up its particle shields and started chasing Zere around in an attempt to seperate his particles.

The other drones promptly followed it with the hope that he would be sucked into their pocket dimensions and trapped.

As the seals and the portal shield covered drones fought for control against each other, pretty much now in a standstill, the particle shield drone met a forcefield which Zere quickly raised, becoming a sort of wall between the drones and Zere (and the generator). The forcefield began to push back against the drones, it's form also covered by a giant seal that was absorbing everything thrown at it.

It would only be a matter of time before they got through this, but it bought Zere time. Assuring his generator was well defended with various spells and shields, Zere set off into the shadows of the Heart, ready to commence with the next phase of his plan. This was just as his lockdown of the council became complete. Nobody was coming in or out. It was just Zere and his prey now. And the entire place was rigged to blow on Zere's command.

But he wouldn't make it explode, that would be too easy. He had come here for a reason, after all.

His voice once more echoed throughout the station. "Now, that was fun. I'm enjoying our game so far. Remember, all you have to do to make it stop is admit defeat, and we can stop playing."

Underneath the feet of one dispatched number of marines, seals began to appear, to lock them in place.

Several marines were locked in place by this but others began to float, using the magic that was allowed by the AM field being overcome, others began counteracting the seals by turning the ground around them into liquid.
"Sir, we have to get you out of here!" Announced one of the marines as he heard Zere.

--

The drones were fairing fairly well, actually, because they were fueled by the building and could absorb the power signals that radiate throughout the building. So long as they were able to connect with those, they would have power and were still able to fly around Zere, firing their weapons and all around acting like complete and utter nuisances.

OOC: The drones will have to find him again, should be a lot harder without the "holes" in the AM field.

As the marines tried to counteract the seals, said seals exploded, probably violently ending the lives of the few marines that had been targeted. If some or all of them happened to survive, then more power to them. But now, on the other side of the Heart, the entire floor was turning into a giant seal. And on yet another part of the Heart, some men were dropping dead because their blood was being drained entirely.

It was as if Zere were picking off people one at a time.

The Zarethians began to panic. One called in an orbital strike from a cruiser above while ordering the shields to be put down.  The AT fields were put down and they immediately teleported out of there, one taking hermitage with them and placing him in protection as the insanely fast pulse blast leveled the tiny building completely. All of this happened in ten or so seconds.
After they teleported they immediately turned the AT back on.
