Having grown tired of the wanderers life of being pirates and having no home left. Eventually the last of the Gryphon race abandoned their leaders Aisilin and Erath and decided to make home somewhere. Eventually they came across a planet in the Saeculumn Galaxy that they claimed and adapted to their race to be their new resting place.

Territory Name:Aurum
Territory Description: Aurum is a solid gold planet. Not only gold in color, but the very ground is gold. The sky? Gaseous gold. The water? Liquid gold. The ground? Normal but the grass grown from it is gold. This is done through the Gryphons focused magic on evolving the planet through years passed.

Quick question... How does the gold stay liquid in the sea? Its the planet really, really, hot? or is it by some magical anomaly?

How's this. It's solid gold normally. But if a gryphon say... wants to go swimming? They use their power to turn it liquid for that duration of time.
