Traps

Land mines of a magical variety had been created by Valor who intended to use them to distract his foes. Many other traps had been added to the arena for them to use in order to take down their enemies quite easily. Veritas and Valor once completed with making the traps exited the arena.

(You need to be more specific, or else I'm going to have to null it. What traps were actually placed? What do the traps do?)

Land mines and swinging axes along with holes that have poisoned spikes in addition to places in the area that were magically transformed to quick sand  and of course poisonous animals were summoned into the arena and magically cloaked so that no one would know except for the makers of the traps that the traps actually existed.  Once Valor and Veritas were done setting up the traps they dimmed their magical signature around the place completely by working on the other's magical signature in the place so that no one would know what had transpired here. They immediately did the most effective and least signature leaving teleportation spell they could perform and arrived at the guest condos.
