The Long Road Home
« on: February 11, 2012, 09:09:13 AM »
A long life had been lived by Allen, and so it came as no surprise to Terrence that this was happening. It would be painful for him to watch his mentor die, but he would not be able to heal him. See, Narrikians some of them did not specialize in the healing but more of the offensive. Terrence was one of those and so would only mess things up if he tried to heal his mentor.  Looking over at Freya somberly Terrence would reach for her hand and squeeze it, unsure of how to go about introducing her to his mentor.  Out of the crystalline cryo stasis thing rose Allen, as it had been set to expire when Terrence arrived.

Slowly and in agony would Allen traverse the path over to Freya and Terrence. Examining Freya for a moment, he would sense the MASSIVE amounts of power she held deep within herself and be impressed. Terrence had found a real power house. Perhaps things were not so hopeless as he thought they would be. But then he recognized the helmet and smiled at Terrence.

"So you got it to work my protege? Good. With the helmet working the Narrikians might stand a surviving chance. Just make sure not to mess things up too badly with all that power at your disposal. What is your name young one?" The last part of his statement, a question had been directed towards Freya.

"It's Freya." The Fioan muttered in response, she shuffled from foot to foot looking at the ground "It's nice to meet you."

Weakly, Allen would hobble over to Freya and try to sense her magic level closer?to see what manner of being she truly was. But it took too much energy and so he was quick to give up on that endeavor and say to Terrence. "My lab is yours, as are all my inventions my young protege. You have finally found a friend and have now moved beyond what I can teach you.  At least as I die, I know someone will carry on my legacy and will ensure that those groups that plague the dimension come to an end." With that, Allen would die of a heart attack right in front of Terrence.  Water would gush from his eyes which had become beet red at the loss of his mentor and Terrence would walk over to Allen and snap his fingers.

There would be no flash of light, no fancy tricks or anything as his clothes would change to black and those of Allen would change to white with the crest of the Silver Family on it. A coffin would appear and Terrence would load Allen into it and then seal it shut.  Seals would be used on it as a sort of lock and also to prevent the body from decaying and what not. His mentor was dead...and slight shaking began to be done by Terrence. The helmet of Evolix would notice this and ask Freya.

Could you console him some?

"I..." Freya hated anything to do with death, she never truly got over Haseo's. And now, seeing Terrence's master die right before her really shook her to the core. Why would Terrence take her to this unknown planet to watch someone die? She wanted to be away from this, away from death. With a gust of powerful energy Freya was gone, after all her magic was affected by her will. If she didnt want to be somewhere, her power would just whisk her away somewhere happier.

With that, Terrence would try to summon the Templar he had met earlier, the female one. "Hello?"

Inari had been watching this event "Sorry for your loss" She appeared next to Terrence, looking to the coffin "It is an awful thing to lose your master."

"Yeah, do you mind having the Citadel send him to his home world to be buried there?"

Terrence was afraid of crossing the dimensions from the stories he had been told. Plus he did not deem himself fit enough or possessing enough power on his own.

"Also Miss, you mind helping me make heads or tails of his notes?"

Terrence had a book underneath one arm, old and in runic Narrikian a language he did not quite understand. The book contained all the information Allen had gleaned about his old mech, Panther Prime. The book had been summoned from Allen's lab the moment he died.

Inari took a look at the book and sighed "I really can't. Masters orders, i'm not to aid in the production of other empires technology." She looked to Allen though "I can send him home though." Allen's coffin would then fade away, back to the Narrikian home dimension "Why did your powerful friend leave?"

"That is just the thing...empire. I represent no empire. I am just completing his projects to see what he would have."

Terrence's helmet would buzz and forcibly form a telepathic communication to Inari. If she was a Templar, the Helmet would force Terrence to attack her.

ARE YOU A TEMPLAR?

Die SCUM!

Unfortunately for Inari, Terrence would not have control over the helmet which would force him into his first mode, Zealot Form. Red Energy would surge around Terrence and the gravity around Inari would increase a thousand fold. "Help...I can't control myself...." The helmet was controlling Terrence, something that when Freya was around it could not do due to the telepathic link. Dozens of energy spears would appear and shoot at Inari.

Inari raised a hand as the gravity tried to increase around her, it simply couldnt as it would be rewound to its original form "I warn you now, desist with your assault." She growled, the spears being absorbed into Templar Portals through timelines.

The Helmet if it had eyes would be rolling them at this. Of course Templars could control time and so using the telepathic link, it tried to examine the memories of Inari to see if she was one of the ones who had attacked and destroyed his home long ago....to figure out what year this was. As the spears vanished, Terrence would momentarily regain control of himself. "Something is wrong with me....I can't control myself."

What happened to these Templars? Pictures and info on 5 Templars, the ones who had blown his lab sky high when he first started building would be sent into the mind of Inari as if to question her about them.

I do not know. I warn you a final time cease your assault. Inari responded, more forcefully than before. When Ivan attempted to read her memories he would have found himself magically blocked from doing so.
"Stop yourself."

The Helmet now stopped and Terrence stopped moving, his entire body going rigid as the Helmet considered some things. The Templars must have had some sort of accident or something as that would be the only logical explanation as to why this had happened. The person must be new to the order?but where were the ones that had nuked his lab to begin with?  The Helmet made a mental note to ask about that and then? thought up a plan. -Very well-  Terrence looked at Inari now in control of himself. "What was that about? One moment I am just thinking of the other forms...and what they could be and then this happened."

-Why did you block me?-

"Do as the woman says," a voice ordered as Nek appeared behind him, holding a gun to his head, a serious scowl on his face. "And explain yourself. What is your purpose here?"

My purpose here was to see if the Templars were still as rigid as they were in the past.

This would be broadcasted telepathically to both Inari and Nek all of the sudden as Terrence removed the helmet. The helmet did still have some abilities, but when removed the Zealot Form would end and Terrence would revert to his original form. "And as for mine...well my mentor was here. Just put him in a coffin a few moments ago, came to see if he had any more notes than a book in a language I can't comprehend yet..." said Terrence fingering the book that contained all those words in runic Narrikian relating to the mech. It would take a great deal of work to learn runic Narrikian, but Ken had at one time known it, so it was possible that Nek would also know how to read it.

"I- Nek." Inari looked to her fellow Templar "What should we do? Shall we wait for Master Jay?"

"I don't trust this guy," Nek growled, "This research seems like it would be very valuable to your people. Could even change the tides of war. I'm afraid we can't help you."

Terrence would take a moment and hear the words of Inari and Nek. So they could not help him. Just a minor set back. Oh well, he could adapt but he would need to go somewhere that had dictionaries that translated runic narrikian to normal or even ancient. Either would suffice, but where could he find such a place in the dimension and then he remembered something Allen had told him about....the Ancient Narrikian World. It would likely have what he sought and so he could create his creation and go from there and have it done before supper most likely. "Very well then. I will see you some other time."  With that, Terrence would simply disappear without any flashes, fancy effects or anything. A simple teleport without problems.

Inari dropped her guard when Terrence disappeared "Sorry Nek... I shoulda been able to handle that on my own." She muttered, sheathing her blade and falling down on her behind upon the grass "Wanna sit with me for a while? I figure Master Jay'll be gone for ages.... Or like 10 minutes, i'm still not used to time around him" She giggled, patting the grass next to her and motioning for Nek to join her.

"Sure," Nek agreed, taking a seat next to the (former?) Kitsune Sage, putting his gun away as he summoned a picnic basket full of sandwiches. Yes, sandwiches -- he'd gone his entire life without any form of supernatural powers. If he wanted some sandwiches to share with his friend, damn, he had every right to do so. "I wonder what he's been called for."

"I don't know, he was gone when I woke up." She sighed, taking a sandwich "Citadel says there's about 8 of him running around the universe just now though so really it's pot luck on which we'd be following anyway" Inari laughed a little "I see you're adapting to the Templar powers quickly" She pointed to the sandwiches.
