Siren
Every little girl dreams of stories about prince charming and mermaids, but what if those stories were real? What if, just perhaps, there was once a young girl who fell in love with a young boy? But maybe the young boy didn't love her back, and maybe she was driven to madness. Maybe, what the boy did not know, was that she actually wasn't quite normal, and had special powers, and she tried to put a curse on that boy, but what she did not know was that she could not force love? What if the curse backfired, and instead of making the boy love her, the young girl lost all her love? She gained all the beauty in the world, but without love, it would not do her one bit of good. And what if this young girl happened to be named "Siren"?

siren's curse:
gained by kissing another with the curse
gives the cursed unnatural beauty
takes away the cursed's emotions, especially love
gives the curse the power of controlling emotions by singing
requires the cursed to feed upon emotion of others in order to survive

Is it just the Mermaid Sirens? Cause' in mythology there's Mermaid and winged/bird sirens.

So they look like humans? I thought the curse was spread by kissing, what happens when someone who's not human is cursed?

Indeed. Only different is one's a messed up bird woman, the other's just a mermaid with a curse.

And yet all they do is sing and eat men.

(Not counting Buffy's giant praying mantis)

Okay I lied, there are humanoid sirens from this one movie. But the acting and the song they were singing bugged the shit outta me.

That's one way to kill someone as a "siren".

Though I like sticking with the original Greek Sirens. The wicked bird women and the naiad/mermaids with singing curses of praise ^^
