Character Name: Crystal Saphas
Age: 20 years
Gender: Female
Race: Narrikian
Appearance:
Alliance: Celso Tadeusz/Neo Narrikian Empire.
Personality: Crystal is, for all intents and purposes, bipolar. She has two distinct personalities; one is kind and sweet, the other... not so much. Her more dominant personality appears cute, innocent, and na?ve on the surface, often acting younger than she actually is ? but there?s more to her than that. Her supposed cuteness is mainly a ruse. She?ll act all cute and ?kawaii-desu? to get you to lower your guard, and then she?ll strike when you least expect it. Behind those cute, honey-colored eyes lurks a sensible, calculating young woman who thinks strategies and plans through before acting. But because of certain scars from her past, the moment she feels any physical pain, her other personality emerges. Her alter self is ruthless, merciless, and will kill without hesitation. She will react with violence in almost any situation in this state of mind until she is either distracted from the pain, or no longer feels it.
Inventory (Weapons, Equipment, Etc): Always, Crystal carries a laser blaster, which is typically concealed on her person somewhere. As her main combat weapon, she wields the Multi Weapon Construct Apparatus, a gauntlet-type device that is able to form various weapons from pure energy.
Combat Level: 3.5
- Magic Level: 4

Character's History: For the first eight years of her life, Crystal lived in the Home Dimension. But that?s not to say that her existence was a happy one. Her life was far from such; within these eight years, she?d suffered the loss of her mother to a strange illness and endured countless beatings from her abusive father. These punishing beatings, dealt for the most insignificant of reasons, often left her in excruciating pain, her body covered in welts and bruises, as well as a deep despair ? she hoped futilely that something, someone could come and take her away from this miserable life, even though she knew that such a thing would likely never happen. It was simply an impossible thing...
Or was it?
At the age of four, young Crystal encountered the Emperor of the Neo Narrikian Empire ? Celso Tadeuz. He saw within her something her father would never realize: the mind of a bright young prodigy. But it was too soon; this girl was far too young. So he left her to stay in the Home Dimension for eight more years, to suffer eight more years? worth of abuse from her father. And with that, her father left more than physical scars. Crystal developed a split personality in the midst of one particularly brutal beating ? she was in too much pain, she just had to
get rid of it; and thus, she projected all her pain and pent-up anger into another personality, a violent and ruthless one that cared about little more than taking revenge, and eliminating whoever had caused her more fragile self that pain. Even now, whenever someone causes her pain to the point where she cannot bear it, her murderous personality will emerge.
But once she reached the age of twelve, her salvation came in the form of Celso himself. He had returned for this prodigy, now that she was older and better able to withstand what was to come her way. He took her away from the Home Dimension, and began training her as his prot?g?. She trained with him up until she was twenty years of age. After that, she was sent undercover to work at the Wind Storm Academy under the guise of a new, young teacher ? while in secret, she searched for powerful Narrikians, ones that showed potential, that would have a place in Celso?s royal guard. And this is what she does now, working for Celso, whom she always regarded and would regard as her savior.
RP Sample (Depending On Combat Level):
Crystal sat alone; the young woman seemed innocent and almost helpless as she sat there, deep in contemplation, appearing lonesome. Her soft amber gaze appeared distant, blurred by the memories in which she lost herself. Behind those bleary eyes, her mind was drowning in the pain of her miserable past, unable to rise above the sea of memories and recollections.
Father . . . Why had her father hated her so much? Why did he beat her on a daily basis, for reasons she couldn?t even begin to fathom? Why had he left her so traumatized, so scarred that she could no longer bear pain without hiding behind an alternate personality?
Why?If only she could answer that one question . . .
A sigh slipped past her lips, and her amber eyes began shimmering with tears. She would never know what she needed to know. That question would keep haunting her like a restless spirit.
Why? Why? Why?But . . . She couldn?t stay miserable forever. She couldn?t allow herself to wallow in this self-pity, or let herself linger on that one unanswered question. She had to be strong, as Celso often told her to be. She had to raise herself from the seemingly endless ocean of pain and memories, and continue on with her life, as if the scars of the past never existed. So she did.
She raised herself from where she had been sitting, the clouds in her gaze slowly parting to reveal brighter, happier eyes. A gentle smile settled itself upon her lips as she then began to walk away. She was glad, she supposed, that she was able to visit the place she was born, the Home Dimension, because while it brought back the painful memories of her past, it also strengthened her resolve to remain as strong as she could be.
And now she walked away from where she had been sitting, where the tombstone of her mother?s grave stood in simple elegance, an eternal reminder for Crystal to embrace the past, but live in the present and look forward to the future . . .
