High Alert

[Zero]

After the loss of Setus Prime, a High alert had been declared on Providence. Soldiers were rushing to armories and getting in mechs, tanks and whatever else in preparation for an attack on the planet. The Anrufe would not conquer the planet this time and so dozens in the sentry towers, the less tech savvy and more gifted in other ways would also raise barriers around the planet to counter any seals that could be used. Ground turrets would be readied and everything would be prepared so no one could invade this place and take it without one heck of a battle. Lucien would float in the air, helping the soldiers learn to defy the laws of Gravity and use that to their advantage in combat. On the ground dozens of Magi-Androids would be readied and programmed to help. SDT units would also assist in making Providence even more defensible than it already was.

[Logan]

Logan phased into reality directly into the high commander's office.

[Zero]

When he did, Logan would find himself suddenly surrounded by soldiers. Cuffs would materialize on his hands, with an AM property to them and the same would also appear on his legs. Cannons would be pointed at him by the soldiers, and he would be dragged down the hall to an interrogation chamber of sorts where Lucien or rather a clone of Lucien would be waiting. The room would have AM, AT, AP, AST and AOW fields active inside it.  "You will be interrogated. As to how you bypassed the shield will be discovered and precautions will be made against future methods of the same."

[Logan]

Everything stopped as time itself stopped. Logan stripped himself of his bonds with the snap of his fingers and the commander was unfrozen. "Did you really think that could hold me? I come from a place where time has no meaning and found many ways around low technology like that. In fact I was the one who designed the original anti-magic technology you base yours around." Logan said.

[Zero]

When the first means of holding him did not work, a tranquilizer dart would be fired from behind Logan by someone who had not been frozen, Agent Harrisia. She had become sort of a special forces agent and a secret body guard for the emperor but Lucien had her remain on Providence. The tranquilizer contained a high powered sedative that would knock out any normal human in one hit and had AM properties to it as well so it could not be counteracted that way directly. "We thought the first means of containment would work, but apparently more is needed. "

[Logan]

Logan wasn't even phased by the dart as he pulled it out. "I am not here to go 20 rounds of you trying to figure out what will hurt me and sub-due me. I am here to make a deal."

[Zero]

"What kind of deal?" asked Lucien's clone before the real one would appear along with a clone of Celso who had the same control over the planet as the original and so would look at Logan and try to figure out how exactly he was defying what was considered normal. The clone of Lucien dissolved and the real one approached Logan and then gestured to the guards. Within moments they would lower their weapons. "Indeed.... what kind of deal are we talking about?" asked the real Lucien thinking about the situation.

[Logan]

"I need "mortal" eyes to keep watch of this war. I am looking for signs of any weapon of mass destruction being made. I don't have too much faith in you guys but from what I am aware you guys may be small enough you could go under the radar. You see I can see everything, and the future I see is death. Sometime during the war a weapon was used. One that single handed destroyed billions of planets and wiped out the universe. I don't know who made it because it being hidden in a way that not even my powers can see." Logan paused for a bit and then decided to continue. "What I am asking you to do is spy on everyone. It will be a hard task but the risk will be worth it. If you do this I shall help you advance yourselves 10 years of technology from where you are now."

[Zero]

Lucien weighed the options and considered it. True Celso was not here, but this would benefit them in the long run and would help them be ready. The way things were going the Anrufe was likely the biggest threat and could be the reason for that WMD that was created. Fortunately, plans could be enacted to deal with them once technology had been increased.  This guy did seem to be telling the truth after all and so what the heck. It would be worth a shot anyway, even though it would take more resources than they currently could afford to use what with the planet not having an adequate defense fleet for it yet.

"You need mortal eyes to keep an eye on the wars and you want us to spy on everyone, keep an eye out for weapons of mass destruction? Well we've already found one weapon of mass destruction and it is not so much a being as it is an AI with an intellect that is above and beyond that of most scientists. The AI is a member of the terrorist cell known as the Anrufe and also commander of a fleet called the DAIS Armada. "

"While Celso may be officially in charge, he has allowed me to broker while he is away. The deal is acceptable."

[Logan]

"The weapon of which you speak isn't the one. You see your people will be wiped out in due time. But there is another future where your people created a serum that makes you temporarily immune to the effects of that weapon. This serum only works for 10 minutes and during that time you are completely unaffected by the weapons. That is all it was able to work for and too much doses of it can send your system into shock and kill you. Modifying it will take you years to do but if you used it every half hour you should be fine. Meaning every half hour you would be immune for 10 minutes. There is a few other things I can offer you as well."

[Zero]

"Very well. " Lucien snapped his fingers and two scientists in the room ran off to go do research and produce a serum to make cerebrus a failure.

"What else can you offer? I'll agree to have spies planted in the other empires soon."

With that, holographic screens would surround Lucien showing every quadrant and part of the planet. "Hmm. Nothing to report yet to Celso... no attacking enemy forces and no invaders. All clear. Security level decrease 5%."  Lucien would move one of the screens downward and the high alert would be lowered 5%, not much but some at least.

[Logan]

"A ship, but not for me. There is a girl on Setus Prime named Ashley, who is code named Lightning, that you must pick up first. But do not use this ship to pick her up. Use a smaller ship to get her so you can get in and out faster. Also a man who is currently on Earth named Mark Macky, who is code name Flame, is also needed. You will leave that ship in orbit and once you have them put them on it and leave them to me. I will deal with the two other chosen when the time is right." Logan replied.

[Zero]

"Very well...." said Lucien considering his options. "But there is a slight problem to going to Setus Prime unfortunately. The Anrufe. They own that planet, and getting past their defenses isn't going to be a cake walk either...given the amount of ships they and the DAIS armada have."  But it could be done, just not with any of the current resources. They would need a ship that could go so fast that the Anrufe and DAIS would not have time to detect it.

[Logan]

"Don't bother with it. I sense she isn't in any danger at the moment. I didn't choose her to be apart of my team just because she was a pretty face. I've chosen her because of her skills."

[Zero]

Lucien would listen and nod...he had expected as much. "Well then, time to commence the reclaimer of Setus Prime soon. I've already ordered the scientists to commence work on the serum you mentioned. And also a cure to those who would be infected with the disease once the serum is made and studied." As Lucien said this reports would come in that one of the DAIS listening stations had been located. "I want the entire investigative fleet scrambled to that location to destroy that listening station and make it permanent this time around." At that command, thirty Frigates and 2 sub capitals would be deployed to do just that. So now he turned his attention back to Logan. "Any other technology you have for us?"

[Logan]

Logan handed the vial of serum to him. "Back when I was on Atlantis I worked with shield technology and cloaking technology. I should be able to boost your ship shields and install cloaks on them. Granted it takes 3 minutes to switch from a cloak to a shield, and you can't fire weapons while using the cloak, but it is possible I can recreate this technology on your ships. It should make them invisible to sensors for now. The technology is pretty old and I believe the AI you face can still hijack your ship, but it should give you the ability to spy on the others. Also the shield should increase your abilities to take a hit by a bit."

[Zero]

Lucien nodded and handed the serum off to a errand boy who ran to the scientists who would study the serum. "Excellent. That should even the odds, and as for not having the ability to use weapons while cloaked...the problem with the ships not having defenses in that situation could be remedied easily. Now if you'll excuse me I have work to get back to. " said Lucien and with that he would fade away, leaving a clone of himself behind. For Lucien had work to do on the defense grid of the planet and make sure it could withstand a direct assault. "Great. The DAIS will just send another listening station likely."

[Logan]

Logan turned around and opened the rift to the void and walkthrough it, closing it behind him.
