Personality (one paragraph minimum):Quiet and distant, Veritas is a careful introvert. This does not come from a lack of confidence, however. He is self-assured, though not a boaster. He likes losing himself in crowds and enjoys listening to people and hearing about things, even their problems He likes to know people, though he doesn't like them to know him, which leads to many shallow and non-lasting relationships. If Veritas calls you a friend, he means it.

Character's History (Minimum 3 Paragraphs): The Hub ships could be dangerous places, Veritas grew to knew, and when you get in with the mob, there's no easy way out. But the day comes when you have no choice. Literally, all other options are gone. Veritas never wanted to see it, and didn't want to believe it. But the day came. Without a father to support them, and without a job to turn to, young Veritas got in with a gang whose primary business was weaponry. They stole most of it, however they could, and sold it for bargain prices. In the end, they actually did some good, arming common citizens, so they could stand up to the bigger gangs. Veritas thought that was their goal, the whole time, to arm the weak, to help them rise up. And it worked! In their district, the people triumphed over their persecutors. It was hard to push around people with guns.
But it was too good to be true, and Veritas watched the gang he gave his heart too, his brothers, become the very thing they hated. They kept the best weapons for themselves, military issue pulse rifles, and used their favors and reputation to install themselves as the leaders of the district. Those that wouldn't bend to their favors, were slaughtered as a message. And run the district they did. Soon, they were in drugs, prostitution, gambling... And their reach spread. Their gang created a dealt a dangerous new drug, called La'lacon. It was cheap, easy to produce and smoke, and had a very addicting effect. When it hit the streets, word got out it was safe. All natural, they said. Just a weed, they said. They lied. People started dying from overdoses, allergic reactions, but it still kept a hold in the streets. When Veritas saw it's affect, and the grip it had on their small populace, he knew it had to end.
Veritas was really good with guns. Better then anybody in the gang, most accurate and quickest shooter. So therefore, he was in charge of their Arms trading racket, and had secured his favorite weapons, with a few thousand rounds of ammo for them. Knowing the shooting skills and habits of each individual member of the gang, he set out on his quest, and succeeded.
He killed them all, and destroyed the recipe and tools for making La'lacon. The district was free at last, though it was short lived. Other gangs moved in to fill the power void. Not even the violent destruction of the last gang was enough to scare them off. Realizing he couldn't take on the new flood of gangs, Veritas instead used his connections to supply the locals with arms at cost. And that's how he made his way, as his scars healed. He didn't pull the trigger himself, simply supplied the means for other people to. Eventually, he migrated to Tefillin, where his services weren't needed near as much. He took a job as a bouncer at local clubs and mostly kept to himself, though he started to open up a little bit and let go of the things in his past. But he couldn't ignore the rise of the Zafia, who was starting to run major areas of Tefillin. They absorbed or destroyed smaller gangs , and lead what was once a backstabbing culture of renegades into an orderly, honor-code abiding business. The more the Zafia spread, the further down crime actually went. And they didn't deal in drugs. As more and more gangs caved in to the Zafia's influence, drugs on the street and deaths by overdose plummeted. There was no supply. Though this gave opportunity to entrepreneuring gangs to exploit the drop of supply and make more profit of their product, the Zafia eventually ran the underground. And with it, new, honorable individuals with which Veritas began to bond. Eventually, he quit his bouncer job and started running guns for Zelini's Zafia. It gave him company, he was among peers, and they supported his honest intent of arming his fellow man. He became such a success that Zelini asked him to become Pleasure Planet's head arms dealer, and let him open his own club as well. Though he still has scars in his past and skeletons in his closet he hasn't quite let go of, Veritas is happy for once in his life.
