[Logan]

The Destiny's Hope returned to Providence, when it did a small shuttle came out of the only bay it had and headed towards Providence at full speed. When the shuttled landed Logan and Mark both got out.

[Zero]

Logan and Mark would be approached by Celso this time around. Celso was clad in a uniform they had never seen before, a new technology that had been developed. Recently plans had been put into action and so Celso was wearing one of the stealth uniforms beneath his clothes. A trench coat covered the stealth uniform and made it hidden from plain sight. But now he did not have to worry about not being armed and so he would approach them.

"Hello Logan. Hello Mark.  So I see from the logs of the ship which the computer system here has access to that you discovered a new group?"

As Celso said this he pushed a button on his blue tooth and coordinates would be downloaded from their ship, the coordinates of the Academy. A team would be put together to visit the Academy soon and negotiate some treaties and stuff with them.
 

[Logan]

Logan smiled. He knew that they would have been watching them. He also knew it could play out in his favor too. Though Mark was the one to reply.

"They aren't new to me. I was on a UEM ship that got lost out there once. We had no choice but to land on the planet and we found the Academy's civilization there. They are a really great bunch and..." Logan cut Mark off mid-sentence.

"I need information on the DAIS. I have heard you mention of them in our last meeting. I need a base of operations."

[Zero]

"Well...since you need a base of operations....."

Celso would push a button and immediately holograms would surround them of various base types.  "Choose one."

"About the DAIS, they sort of don't like the fact Narrikians exist and have on a few ocassions attacked us....when we tried to protect ourselves."

[Logan]

Even though this was the copy Logan he still had the other Logan's ability to sense deception and lies. "And when you mean protect yourselves you mean attack them. You cannot deceive me. I have an ability to see through lies."

[Zero]

But Celso was not lying, they had attacked only when the DAIS had proven to be a threat. And over the years before he left the home dimension the data on the DAIS had been reviewed over and over by him. And well, it frankly irritated him to no end that the DAIS had allied with the Anrufe and started attacking Narrikian stuff before he even got to be emperor.  "Sort of. They provoked the attacks though with their actions in the past."

[Logan]

"Perhaps it is time to leave the past in the past. We are trying to save the future by looking towards it. Not living in the past."

[Zero]

Pausing for a moment, Celso would close his eyes and consider it. True the past could be left in the past but it would make him look like a weak emperor if he did not do something to remove the fact the DAIS had stolen from the computer systems in the past. Going back to pen and paper had been part of the plan but that was not all that would need to be done. Fortunately certain measures could be enacted and utilized to prevent said attack from happening again. Celso would activate his blue tooth and radio someone on it, an advisor of sorts. Polls would be taken of his popularity should he leave the past in the past and let the DAIS keep what they had purloined so far. Finally after coming to the conclusion that there was nothing to lose, Celso would merely nod.

"Their actions in the past shall be forgiven....but they shall be monitored."

Celso was not one to lower his guard against a known threat to the Neo Narrikian Empire.


 

[Logan]

"I didn't say to leave them be. You should watch them, but if you are to survive you can't live on what they have done. You must lead your people to the future but know the mistakes of the past."

[Zero]

"True."

Celso knew however they did not have the resources to combat the DAIS as it was now. There was just not enough people here on this planet or enough territiroes in order to remedy the problem. More ships would be an absolute must and so Celso would give the order for the Neo Narrikian Empire to hunt down all sorts of tech that had once been used and recomission old ship classes. Old stuff could still have some use. While he would not downright trust the DAIS, he would as emperor pardon their actions of the past although he would begin to unleash a project. A project that would remove the problems of spying. Already his scientists had began construction of radar jammers and other similar technologies.

"Yes. I am well aware of that. The fact of the matter is that lots of the Narrikians hate the Anrufe, and by extension the DAIS since they allied with them and also use a weapon that has meant mass destruction to the Narrikians in the past."

[Logan]

"Anyways. Which one is closest too us?" Logan asked.

"Also with the least ships guarding it. I know we have cloaking capability but that doesn't mean we will be able to hide forever." Mark also stated.

[Zero]

"I would have to say Citadel would be your best bet."

"And while you are negotiating with the DAIS do you think you could get them to pull their listening posts here out?"

Celso had received several complaints about those once the people had found out they existed. This is why the computer stuff, and any entertainment simply was not done of the electronic nature.

[Logan]

"Citadel is in the Milky Way Galaxy. That isn't close at all." Mark pointed out.

[Zero]

"Closest other than their listening posts. "

And Celso was not about to let those two visit the listening posts. "And visiting those would lead to disaster."

[Logan]

Mark looked over to Logan. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Exactly. Where is the closest listening post? We can go to it and broadcast a message to it and set up a place to meet them."

[Zero]

Normally Celso would not be willing to do this. But finally, he pulled out a PDA that had coordinates of one of the nearest ones, but not the one that had been attacked. So this would be handed over to Mark and Mark would be asked. "Do you mind if your combat skills are recorded by the C-Sim Technology that has been developed for use in training others? Same applies to you Logan. Having both of your styles recorded would be a quite useful thing for the C-Sim." 

[Logan]

"You want my combat style?" Mark asked. "I run and shoot anything that might shoot me. That is my style."

"I think I'm good. I don't even have a style. So your computer wouldn't be able to use me because it can't predict what I would do in a situation."

[Zero]

"Trying to prepare forces should the Anrufe manage to clone you both. May seem a bit far fetched, but I am not about to let an army of clones become a problem because their styles were not trained for."  With that, Celso would let them board their ship if they wanted, and begin to walk off back to his house so that he could prepare himself for the mission that would lay ahead.

[Logan]

"What happens if they clone you?" Mark asked Logan.

"They can't. I'm not the original. Thus there isn't really any DNA structure they can use for cloning." Logan replied.

They left and returned to the shuttle who took them to the Destiny's Hope and set off.
