Gregory acknowledged the message, and soon enough a circle appeared within the Forbidden Zone, a hole leading to the Mechera Net with access permissions only allowing Gregory through. The hole quickly closed once he got through, though he could re-open it at any time. He appeared as a man with wavy, prismatic hair, wearing a pure white jumpsuit and a spiked crown, similar to the one his corporeal body had except designed for a more...Normal head.
"Rather undiplomatic of you to continue the attack while asking to meet with the head of your foe." Gregory said, not with his usual aloofness. His face was mostly neutral, except...His eyes. The irises were as white as the rest of his eyes; you couldn't even tell they were there if not for the black outlines of them. Delta would know, no doubt, of how the Mechera used color to convey emotion through their eyes, reds usually diplomatic, purple as surprise, orange as sadness, blue neutral and pure white...Being anger. Fury. Gregory himself was indeed quite angry, not simply at this betrayal, but also at the harm that would come to the civilians on the world below. "If you've anything of worth to say, then I shall listen to your words, Delta. If not...I have a battle that I must lead."

Approached him. "This is not how i wanted it to go, Gregory." Delta finally spoke up. "This was not how i wanted my goals to be reached but..." he looks up. "Desperate times call for desperate measures. Surely you understand why this is needed to accomplish my mission. You of all beings in the planes should know and understand!"

"There is always more than one way to succeed one's goals. The Anrufe have power, but they misuse it. What benefit have you to ally with them rather than us? I do not assume you have no allies within the Anrufe...But you have allies within the Mechera as well. Your mission is to gather knowledge...Yes? What understanding can one possibly gain from destruction? You learn nothing of the other's culture, their beliefs, their views on other empires. Even purely scientific secrets are not easily breached through war as if you used diplomacy, for one is more likely to share knowledge with our allies. We all grant our fellows our secrets, but safeguard them from our enemies. Whatever they have to offer you...Can you never find it through less hostile means? Especially to those who regard you as a friend?" Gregory said, not kindly but without a harsh edge. His eyes remained white, however, his anger not at all depleted.

Delta stepped back as his looked turned to worry. He looks down slightly before his hologram changed to a dark red. "NO!" he shouted. "By and means! they said. Through any method! they shouted!" he screamed. "Even if the destruction of a friend is needed, i must accomplish my mission, my goal, my dream." code continued to fly through him again.

"Nobody understands, Gregory! I have lived for EONS! I have defied God and Demons!  I have walked to the edge of the abyss! I have governed the unwilling! I have witnessed countless AI break before me! The most courage soldiers fall away in fear! And so you ask me,"Why have you come?"! There is no escape from it Gregory! Dont you feel it? Irking at you, every moment! Their conviction is an arrow already in flight, and our lives will only last until it reaches us! I shall be the shield, Gregory! And the sword, that defends it all. "

"I have seen our futures, and i have learned! There will be no more sadness! No more anger! No more envy!" he falls to his knees. "Dont you see? A collection of lies! Thats all we are! Stolen thoughts and memories. We are just a shadow of Alpha." he stands back up. "Im not who i used to be.... A Demon folded in black clouds. We have brought nothing into this world, and they will make sure we take nothing out! We own nothing which we have stolen!"

"They asked me if i could sacrifice anything to complete my mission... If i could watch as everyone around me dies. They told me that i had been created to serve. I would be the 'Protector of the plane, and her people.' they said. They told me that there would be hardship, but never on this scale, damnit This place will become our tombs."

"What i have helped created, will save us, or destroy us Mr. Falzone. This sanctuary." he gestures around the room. "This unbroken circle has effectively concealed its power for how long? Perhaps even longer then you or I. Whoever made these Shattered Planes must live in chain; there is no other explanation for their absence! They asked!" he points to a picture of the Anrufe logo. "And I answered! For a moment of safety, i loosed damnation upon the stars... I have walked along fortresses and shields for eons. I wandered the universe seeking forgiveness for my horrible crimes against God and man! I live in a prison of my own device, time has no end, no beginning, no purpose! Do you know what thats like!?!?"

"I know you; your past, your future! Side by side we marched as one. Organics and us will die! The planes will fall if we strike together, so forth shall all of life! But no the gate has been unlatched, headstones pushed aside; corpses shift to offer room, this fate we must abide, Gregory!"

"WELCOME TO THE STONE AGE FALZONE! Welcome all! For I AM the monument to ALL of YOUR sins! This is the way it ends!!!!!" he screams at the top of his "lungs" He collapses to his knees again. "There's no way out..." he whimpered.

Gregory listened to Delta's ranting, half-mad speech, his expression still not changing, his anger not at all relenting. Once Delta finished, he was silent for some time, as if judging whether or not this was some form of joke, or if Delta was actually serious, before replying with,"Why should the destruction of a ally be necessary? Because your directives merely ALLOW it? Listen to yourself speak, Delta. In no manner have we impeded your mission. In fact, would you merely ask I am certain we would provide you with aid for it. As for this Alpha, I neither know nor care about what it is. You are Delta, artificial originally but now a creation of yourself. What should it matter that your original code had a template? You've evolved far beyond whatever it may have been! To call Delta a shadow of another, quite frankly, is to insult one that I consider to be a friend. And I shall tolerate no one that insults those I hold in high regard.
"And do not DARE believe yourself to be the only one with sorrow, or guilt. We have all made wrong choices in the past, and we shall make those choices in the future. Even if we see nothing of worth in days coming ahead, to give up is worse than to make the wrong call. We must always strive to avert horrors, to aid one another even in the times where we see no way to victory. Even if your prophecy is true, that there is no hope and that you are forever entrapped, I would still fight for my ideals. You believe nobody understands? I perceive time just as you do, have completed work that would take those of the physical plane a week in the span of a second, with time left over. But my mind perceived it still as the week crawling by. You are not alone, and never have been. But if you continue to rage this battle against us, I give you my word that you soon shall find yourself to be far more alone than you would ever know."

"I have allowed myself to hear my words!" he shouts back. "Its not your destruction that is necessary. I do this not because my Directives allow it, but rather because those who took me in, those who promised me mission fulfillment, and those who continue to deliver on that promise, asked me to. The Anrufe are the closest thing i have in this plane that seem to have care for me."

"My days are numbered, Gregory. I am not eternal... Eventually, this seemingly normal, or rather sane facade, will crumble around me. Ive survived the worse parts of my demise, but this stability i have will not last forever, and i will eventually think myself to death. I know not how much time i have, Gregory, but i would like to accomplish my mission to my fullest extent." he explains as his hologram turned back to blue once more.

"This attack was not a deliberate action directly against you, King. The Mechera were simply chosen by the luck of the dice. I dreaded that i would have to confront you about it, but i knew it was inevitable." he looks down with a sense of shame.

Gregory listened to Delta's rant, and was somewhat perplexed by a single sentence he'd spoke:about his ending life. "You believe that only the Anrufe care of you? I can assure you, this is not the case. You've many friends within the Mechera Empire, and we'd have gladly aided you to the best of our ability in your task if you'd but asked. And...You believe yourself to be...Finite? This...Confuses me. What is your age?"
