Empire Name: Atlantican Empire
Primary Race: Atlantican
Empire Description: The Atlanticans are rumored to have existed for years, though they were said to have first come to this dimension during the Great War between the mortal empires, before the magic users came to the dimension. They took advantage of the war to slip into the dimension unnoticed, and they used their vast, advanced technologies to hide themselves within the dimension. Of course, they knew they would eventually be discovered... So now, they have chosen to reveal themselves.
Additional Information: Eh.

Origins: The earliest Atlantican settlement known was a settlement living inside a city which was placed quite literally inside a data bus, a large tube which carries energy to and from the dimensional cores, the tube itself spanning for miles. The Atlanticans here were able to absorb energy as it came by, and fed on it. Eventually, though, their city was ravaged by constant waves of dimensional energy, and so, they left, settling in a dimension.

The dimension was quite barren, and they named it Atlantica. The earliest Atlanticans there, unlike their predecessors in the city, were no where near as advanced. It is proposed today by some Atlanticans that this is because the Atlanticans in the city were merely acting on knowledge passed down to them through generations, and that knowledge was lost with the destruction of the city. Regardless, the Atlanticans in Atlantica survived by hunting and fishing in their new home. Eventually, an Atlantican named Thetos became the leader of a new city which was built upon the shore of an ocean.

Slave Revolts: The new city took years to construct, and was named Neptune, after Thetos' son. Thetos was crowned Ataah of the Atlantican people. Thetos began to expand the size of the city, using slaves whom he deemed Ankeen to build. About seventy years into Thetos' reign, he was nearing the end of his life. He soon passed, and Neptune, age fifty, took the throne. The day he took the throne, a slave revolt was led by a slave named Terreth. Neptune responded with force, and so began the Ankeen War. After ten years of constant fighting between the Ankeen and Neptune's forces, the war ended with Terreth surrendering to Neptune in exchange for Neptune's vow to end slavery.

War with the Sages: Following the end of the war, and the end of the slavery, a new age began as an economy began to build. The early economy of the Atlanticans mostly consisted of direct trade. Unfortunately, little did the Atlanticans realize, the dimension they had inhabited was not empty. Their expansion would be a fatal mistake. Neptune soon passed, and named his son, Triton, the new Ataah. Triton continued his father and grandfather's expansion. Only months into his rule, though, great boats came from the ocean towards the city, carrying within it sages who had come to the dimension years before and settled in the east. These sages raided the city before being pushed out by Triton's forces, at which time they retreated for help. Four days later, they returned with a fleet of boats.

The Atlanticans and these sages ended up fighting a great battle on the water. They successfully pushed the sages back, but their city was ruined. Once more, the sages came back days later, and Triton himself boarded one of their boats, but not before leaving behind a trident, handing the weapon to Peredinela, his wife. Triton made a pact with the sages, that he would go with them if they ended the attack on the Atlanticans. They agreed.

Rule Of Sua: Following Triton's departure, Peredinela became the next Ataah. Under her rule, the kingdom entered a period of relative peace. Towards the end of her rule, a great flood nearly destroyed the city, leading to a great migration inland by the Atlanticans. They founded a new city known as Tchan. However; they fell prey there to another group of sages who inhabited the area. A great sage general named Sedo set out to crush the Atlanticans. The Atlanticans began a period of expanding their military under constant threat from Sedo's forces for the next one hundred years. Eventually, Atlantican raiders pillaged the villages of Sedo's people, squashing the threat. Sedo and his men were forced to withdraw.

The military expansion angered the current Ataah, a man named Tan. Tan tried to end the expansion of the military, but the military instead led a coup, taking over the city of Tchan. Tan and a number of followers escaped the wrath of the military in the middle of the night, establishing a new empire to the west of Tchan which they named the Bathina Empire. This marked the first time in recorded history that the Atlanticans had been split into two empires.

The Bathina expanded over the next fifty years, while the Atlanticans in Tchan built up their military more and more. The Bathina's city was eventually raided by both the Tchan Atlanticans and sages claiming loyalty to Sedo's successor and son, Akathu. This eventually forced the Bathinans into migration, heading south towards the ruins of Neptune. There, they built boats to cross the great ocean and see what was beyond it. The Bathinians did not come across the sage city which Neptune had been taken to years before, a city known as Keega, but instead came to a shore seemingly vastly uninhabited. There, they built a city which they named New Bathina.

The Atlanticans in Tchan eventually expanded so far that they broke off into smaller city states. The Tchan Empire held control, running a militaristic society, though many of the city states tried to branch out from control of the military. A Tchan ruler by the name of Sua devoted great resources to build boats in an attempt to find the people of Bathina. They did not find New Bathina, but early explorers found several sage kingdoms, which they reported back to Sua. Sua began to build a military fleet in hopes of raiding these sage villages. He did just that, and forty years after the start of his expansion into the sage territory, he raided the city which Neptune had been captured and taken to, the capital of the sages in those parts, and destroyed the capital building, renaming the city New Neptune.

Despite Sua's victory across the ocean, he did not have such luck back at home. Many of the independent city states were growing more and more powerful, and to the south, Akathu's successor, Masaenas, continued constantly raiding the outer limits of the Tchan Empire's borders. Sua took drastic action, and using his military force, united the city states once more and began a war against the Masaenas Sages to the south. Eventually conquering Masaenas and his forces, Sua made the sages slaves of the Tchan Empire.

Rise Of New Neptune: After Sua's death, a new general became leader of the Tchan Empire, by the name of Kidagean. Kidagean often neglected the Providences across the ocean from Tchan City, such as New Neptune. This was his mistake, as the people of New Neptune and surrounding settlements began to form their own small governments. Readopting early ideas of slavery, these new, small governments began to expand their borders. This would work to their advantage later, as many great defenses were built, such as walls around the city of New Neptune.

Kidagean would eventually once more turn his eye on the people across the ocean, and he sent a large military fleet to reinforce his rule in the area by demolishing these small governments. This would lead to a revolt among these Providences, the largest battle of which took place in New Neptune, in which many of the military from Tchan were killed. Angered by the revolt, Kidagean sent the full wrath of his military to destroy the Providences, but they bonded together under New Neptune, and used the ocean, which the Tchan were not used to, in order to further defend themselves.

Kidagean would soon have much bigger problems than New Neptune. The Sage Slaves eventually revolted back home, and Kidagean cut his losses with the New Neptunians. Withdrawing his forces, Kidagean devoted those forces to stopping the sage rebellion. The sages, however, were not so easily squashed. They nearly completely wiped out the people of Tchan, taking their cities. The fall of the Tchan Empire was inevitable, but the rise of the New Neptunian Empire was just beginning.

Some seven years after the rise of the New Neptunian Empire, many of the bordering city states which had not unified were growing with unrest and worry that the New Neptunians were going to take them over by hostile force. Two city state leaders, Zaeyos and Noathen, unified their forces under the new name of Sah. The Sah stood their ground despite constant New Neptunian expansion. Building a great wall, the Sah hoped to stop the New Neptunian's westward expansion. The New Neptunian forces attacked the wall night and day, eventually causing the wall to crumble, only to meet a great force of Sah warriors.

The Sah and New Neptunians clashed, and the Sah were defeated as the New Neptunians continued westward. As they fought through various city states, those in New Neptune City enjoyed a life of relative peace, and began to develop a set of mythos in an attempt to explain where the Neptunians and Sages got their power from. Neptunian historians proposed that the Neptunians and Sages were both originally part of one powerful group of people, but due to a great power divide, they split, and their powers became different from each other due to years of separation. They believed that a man named Emocia had led the Atlanticans after the split, and that a man named Goutevelli had led the sages.

Mathmatics, literature, art, and science all became increasingly developed as the New Neptunians expanded. Early forms of Atlantican technology were developed in New Neptunian City as scientists began to flesh out early scientific ideas such as gravity. However; this great period within the New Neptunians would come to an end eventually. Their expansion would eventually take them too far. They soon reached the borders of the New Bathinan society.

Bathinans: The New Bathinans grew strategically over the century between the start of New Neptunian expansion and the early contact between New Neptunians and New Bathinans. The New Bathinans had built quite an empire, and they were afraid of the expansions of the New Neptunians. Calling upon nearby city states challenging the New Neptunians, the New Bathinans grew in strength over the course of the next few years. The New Bathinan leader, a man named Seega, was preparing for war with the New Neptunians to stop their expansion.

The New Bathinans started a war against the New Neptunians, using vast navy and army power to completely demolish their enemy. They slowly began to push the New Neptunians back, taking city states back from the New Neptunians. As they moved closer and closer towards the New Neptunians' capital, they grew in number and power. Finally, in a great, final battle, the Bathinans took over the capital of the New Neptunians, and Seega proclaimed that their city would be renamed Tiyan.

The Bathinans also set forth back across the ocean, creating a new settlement on the ruins of Neptune. Over the next hundred years, the Bathinan society grew larger and larger. Perhaps too large. Eventually, it broke off into separate empires. Out of Tiyan rose the Tiyanian Empire, out of Bathina rose the Moa, and out of Neptune rose the Triton. The three would exist separate of each other with different cultures and different rulers.

Tiyanian Empire: The Tiyanian Empire rose under the leadership of Emperor Neyeth, who adopted so-called Soan Strategy to expand the Tiyanian Military vastly. Neyeth viewed sage kingdoms to the North as one of the biggest threats to the Atlantican people. Starting wars against these sages, the Tiyanians became known as fierce warriors. He set out to destroy entire sage settlements. He also expanded the size of the forces east and west. His vast expansion would lead to a crisis in the following years, most notably the looming threat of military dictatorship. This led to Neyeth being thrown out of power, and the rise of a council of leaders to take his place.

The council stopped the vast expansions that Neyeth had started, instead focusing on the vast culture which had formed from the New Neptunians decades before. The Tiyanian Empire also was deeply rooted into the sciences and arts, continuing vast amounts of research started years before into the sciences. The Tiyanians realized that their power stemmed from some sort of unseen energy which their bodies used. They wanted to know more. This began their research into dimensions in it's earliest form.

Tchan Remnants: Over the last century or two, small societies had developed south of the sage-controlled lands that Tchan had once rested on, which they had named Finakdoal. The small societies of Atlanticans were mostly nomadic people trying to survive. A leader named Azei set out to united these nomadic people. He formed the Zaelei Republic south of Tchan, a small society which began to spread further and further out.

The Finakdoal sages, meanwhile, had developed a powerful society with powerful technology. They had endured relative peace over the last few decades, but were slowly expanding. Not long after the Zaelei Republic was formed, a new leader rose among the Finakdoal, named Dayas. Dayas ordered the Finakdoal to expand outwards. Challenging various other sage villages outside Finakdoal, the borders did begin to expand bit by bit. This would create a conflict within the Finakdoal. Many opposed Dayas, worrying that his actions would cause the other sages to unite and threaten the Finakdoal.

As the Finakdoal became further and further divided, the Triton to the north grew more powerful upon the shores of the ocean. Setting it's sights on Tritona, the Finakdoal sent great forces into their cities. The Triton began to weaken under threat of the Finakdoal, and slowly became more and more divided. Nearly completely overrun, it was only when the Zalei to the south attacked the Finakdoal that they were forced to retreat from Tritona. The Triton then began a counter attack and, along with the Zalei, were able to nearly completely destroy the Finakdoal's society. Eventually, the Finakdoal collapsed, and thousands of sages flocked from the Finakdoal to other regions.

For the next hundred years, the Zalei and Triton enjoyed a time of peace and prosperity, opening trade with one another.

Haneg and Atan: The Moa, west of Tiyan, consisted mainly of smaller states which formed a confederation. One of the state leaders, a man named Risan, completely distrusted the central authority in Moa City. Risan's state of Danathia waged war against the rest of Moa. After twenty four years of fighting, Risan took complete control of Moa and began to expand it's borders, growing more and more militaristic. He would go as far as to wage war against the Tiyanian Empire, but was vastly outnumbered. Moa quickly fell to the Tiyanian Empire.

However; the Tiyanians were no longer as strong as they had once been. The council which ruled it had dissolved, and there was no true form of leadership. Eventually, a group of Tiyanians to the west attempted to form a new empire, naming it the Haneg. The Haneg formed it's capital over the former Moan capital, on the ruins of New Bathina. For the next few decades, the Tiyanians and Haneg existed separately. Slowly, the great science and art that Tiyan had been known for rose in Haneg, the more organized state.

While the Haneg occupied some land in the former Moa, and the Tiyanians still had some form of government in it's capital, there was a vast amount of territory without leadership between the two. Out of this land between Haneg and Tiyan, many Atlanticans bonded together to form a new empire. A majority of the Atlanticans in this new rising empire were former Moans who were angry with the Tiyan. This group of angry Moans and Tiyans took the name of Atan.

The Atan and Hanag butted heads more than once, and the Atan grew to have a reputation as a people of vast warriors. As the Atan expanded, they eventually grew to be larger than the Tiyan and Hanag both. However; unlike life in Tiyan and Hanag, life in Atan was vastly uncivilized and harsh. Most of it's citizens were poor farmers who had lived in the outskirts of the Tiyanian Empire and the Moa for years. This made it distinctly different from the artistic and scientific societies to it's east and west.

Tritona-Atan Relations: The Triton had developed a large navy over the years, and about a forty years after the formation of Hanag, the Triton's leader ordered that the navy expand and attack the small empire's capital by the sea. In a great battle, the Triton completely demolished the capital of the Hagag. Quickly conquering it's smaller towns, the Triton took Hanag by storm, making it a colony of Tritona. The Triton sent an Atlantican named Keinru to govern Hanag. Keinru began peaceful trade between Tritona and Atan.

In exchange for militaristic weapons and soldiers, the Triton gave Atan domestic technology and helped them build cities. This peaceful relationship was beneficial to both parties, and it worried the Tiyanians to the east, who's borders had shrunk considerably since the formation of the Atan. For the first time since the dissolution of the Tiyan council, a new leader now rose named Marsu, who swore to bring the Tiyanian Empire back to it's former glory.

Marsu launched a war against the Atan, despite incredible public outcry. He found himself greatly outnumbered, and the Atan and Triton set forth on Tiyan, ready to destroy it completely. This led to a great migration by many who opposed Marsu, leaving Tiyan and traveling further east to avoid war. As new societies formed to the east, Tiyan, Atan, and Triton began a war which would span for the next several decades. The war would be one of the bloodiest ever seen by any of the three empires.

The Eastern Kingdom of Iyrh: East of Tiyan, one of the societies which formed out of the Tiyanian society was the kingdom of Iyrh, bordering on a northern sage kingdom. The kingdom was constantly raided by sages, and other kingdoms to the south. This created a unique society in Iyrh, a mix of various societies. It was only a matter of time before a leader took the throne of Iyrh, marking it's rise to power. This leader was a former Tiyanian named Nathanial. Nathanial became the central authority of Iyrh, offering those who chose to accept his rule great power and nobility.

Building upon the vast technological developments of the Tiyanian culture, Nathanial built great walls to defend the kingdom, and weapons to further harness Ocean. The Iyrh began to develop an economy as well, and started building an army. While the Tiyanians fought their war against the Triton and Atan, the Iyrh was preparing for greatness. However; when the Tiyanians finally stopped fighting, they would start to notice the Iyrh and the other eastern kingdoms... And they would react.

After a war which lasted several years between the Tiyanians, Atan, and Triton, the Tiyanians were mostly defeated, separated into smaller kingdoms, much like what had occurred in the east. However; a new republic named the Tiyana Republic rose to unite many of these western kingdoms and to resist Atan rule. The newly formed Tiyana Republic tried to convince the eastern kingdoms to join them, but most refused. The Tiyana Republic responded with hostility, blocking trade routes which these kingdoms used to trade with the Atan.

The Iyrh, who depended on these trade routes, sent a large military force through the trade routes, destroying everything in their path. The Tiyana Republic backed off, a clear signal that they would not rise to the former greatness of the Tiyanian Empire without the support of the eastern kingdoms. However; the Tiyana Republic did become a hub for science, and eventually, through trade with the eastern kingdoms and later the Atan, the entire region became a flourishing hub for knowledge.

Zalei Expansion: While north, across the ocean, the kingdoms on the ocean were becoming a flourishing hub for knowledge, to the south the Zalei was becoming a hub for military strength. The Triton, once friends with the Zalei, had grown to oppose a growing regime within the empire. After a series of skirmishes, the Zalei achieved dominance in the area. A great military leader named Xajri set out to conquer vast amounts of territory, using Triton ports to further support his navy as he planned to expand north.

Xajri battled constant threats to his south from various sages and other Atlantican societies which had broken off. He showed military strength by crushing these threats and building upon the defenses of the Zalei. After building up incredible military power, the Zalei set out to conquer the land which the Triton controlled across the ocean, west of Atan. After a series of raids on the area, Xajri set up a system of feudal government there.

Battle of Triton City: A great number of parties were angered by the rise of the Zalei, including the Atan, the Tiyana, the eastern kingdoms, and the southern tribes below Zalei, as well as Tritons who wanted their government back and were tired of being used by the Zalei. These forces combined their military power to form a great fleet which moved in on Triton City, built over Neptune, the first city the Atlanticans had inhabited in the dimension. Launching a vast battle against the Zalei in the city, they were able to push the Zalei out of Triton City.

Separated from their empire, the feudal lords of the land west of Atan quickly also submitted to control. With their fall, the Atan's borders expanded greatly. Meanwhile, the army which had formed to overrun the Zalei moved south from Triton City, towards Zalei's capital, pushing the Zalei back further and further until eventually, they arrived at the capital, raiding it with an army of incredible size. Meeting the army which had gathered, Xajri had called upon the help of various sages and some of the Atlantican tribes loyal to him. He had an army which was about half the size of the attacking army.

Despite being vastly over numbered, the Zalei army put up an incredibly fight, in one of the bloodiest battles in Atlantican history, rumored to have lasted an entire week. Alas, it was not to last. The Zalei army was defeated, and the Zalei's military and government collapsed. However; while this army was fighting the Zalei, an incredible scientific development had occurred back in the Tiyana Republic. The Atlanticans developed a method of traveling through dimensions.

Formation of the Atlantican Confederation: Zalei became a hub of trade for the various empires, and a time of peace emerged for the next two hundred years, in which scientific development reached new highs, and more was learned about dimensions. It wasn't until some two hundred years later, though, that the vast number of empires would unite under one banner, a confederation. The Atlantican Confederation. It formed at an event known as the Conference of Atlantica, taking place in Zalei City, which was soon after named the new capital of the confederation.

Upon the formation of this new confederation, it was decided that a series of voyages would begin to other dimensions.

Before The Migration: An Atlantican by the name of Saer led the voyage to the Sage Dimension, in which the Atlanticans discovered more about magic and the sages. Meanwhile, a voyage also was made to the home Narrikian dimension, in which the Atlanticans introduced technology to the Narrikians. Despite these early voyages, nothing credible came out of any of it. It wasn't until the Mortal Dimension was discovered that anything remotely interesting came of these voyages.

Back home, meanwhile, remnants of the collapsed Zalei were forming under the name Aoej, and were quickly becoming a vastly militaristic society. Settling on the shore, east of the state of Triton, the Aoej attacked southern shores of the state of Atan, while also attacking sages to their south. As Aoej began to rise, conflict also was erupting within the confederation. The Eastern Kingdoms were especially tense, with much fighting occurring between Iyrh and other kingdoms. On top of this tense fighting, a plague swept the northern states of Atan, Tiyana, and the eastern kingdoms, killing hundreds of Atlanticans.

The Eastern Kingdoms finally broke out into a small civil war, before becoming disowned by the Atlantican Confederation until their squall could come to an end. As fighting broke out between the Eastern Kingdoms, the confederation's advancement in technology was rapid and unparalleled. A rapid rise in the arts and science began unlike anything since New Neptune. Five years later, the Eastern Kingdoms would end their fighting, and reunite with the Atlantican Confederation, ending the bloodshed. Soon after, the Aoej also joined the confederation, and a new time of exploration began for the Atlantican people.

Mass Migration: The Atlantican Confederation soon opened trade with the Narrikians, while continuing the expansion and exploration of other dimensions. One small trading party accidentally came across the "Mortal" Dimension in one of these trade operations. The Atlanticans quickly realized that a vast number of similar societies and races lived there, and that they were fighting a war. They were interested in the conflict, but did not make contact with any of the races.

Meanwhile, the sages in Atlantica were becoming more and more of a problem. Having reunited under a single banner for the first time since the sages fought Neptune, they were growing strong, and they wanted to reclaim their territory along the northern shores. They continuously attacked the borders of Iyrh, Atan, and Tiyana. Many feared that if war broke out, this time, it would lead to the extinction of the Atlanticans.

No... It's just K2 is a founder and one of the main plot artists of the RP. It's obvious he wouldnLt abuse the fact I have a headache and can't read that much at the time.

Anyone else and I'd have left it till the headache was gone and I could read it.

There is only so much pain that can be taken before the bonds and chains of sanity are forsaken
It is in these lonesome times that we reach towards the light sublime
And from that light we pull the resolution of our time
To begin the end and start anew

Well, see you, I'm going to make a race of immortal honey badgers that existed before the creation of North! They also can't die...because the honey badger don't care.

I...Am quite sorry, I thought I already approved this. Approved.
Do you have what it takes to change your destiny, to defy FATE itself?
Let us test the limits of your abilities, and see if you have the WILL to do what no one else tries.

I think someone's tryin to beat Hiro's request length record....

Requests? Pfft.

Try one o' my 'Learn about' Dossier topics. This is bordering on passing up at least two of them.
