"Not even arcana, brother." Jay's smirk grew wider as things got hotter it literally burned his jacket off before he realised he was in danger. He appeared on the other side of the arena, a field of rewinding around him meaning any particles that tried to heat up would find themselves back at room temperature pretty fast. He had quite a bad scorch mark up his arm from the jacket burning off as he raised both hands infront of him- The Sword of Ages in the ground before him. He mustered up his stongest arcane spell, a mighty energy blast formed straight out of his full arcanic reserve straight towards Isaac.

Isaac sighed. "Oh bollocks." He muttered, before the ground leapt up to encompass him, the dirt, gravel and stone formed a cocoon and pushed Isaac under the ground ten, fifteen, then twenty feet under the stadium. Above him the stone uprooting would take the brunt of the blast.
Under the ground, Isaac sat down, crossed his legs and began to hum. His eye's fire bolstered and grew brighter, he estimated he was around under Jay. He continued to hum, and now the blue flames flickered and covered his face, forming a terrifying skull of fluorescent fire. He slowly encompassed all his body.

Isaac finished his spell, his whole body wreathed in incandescent blue fire. He slowly stood, and punched the rock above his head, sending an enormous pillar of fire a third as big as the arena and over 3000 degrees F burst from the ground, incinerating a good portion of the arena. Isaac rose inside the pillar, a shining black speck in the inferno. Slowly, the inferno took the shape of a man - a man of fire- who stood twenty or so feet high and glared around ominously at the crowd, the dragon above and looked for its opponent.

Jay had been burned a little by the burst of flame, his abdominal area had been quite charred for the most part but he had managed to keep himself mostly safe.
"Sample complete." Jay smiled, looking at the towering man of inferno "You don't look so tough...." The Templar muttered, silver wings bursting from his back as his sheer level of power suddenly peaked. He entered his Elder form, meaning he no longer gave off the feeling in his signature of "odd human" and started giving off the full "ancient superpower" signature. If anyone were stood near him, they would suddenly feel an intense pressure given off simply from being around the Templar Elder. The clock face faded as Jay pointed the sword at the inferno "Templar Art: Remix." He almost whispered such as the clock face faded onto his chest as the Templar floated into the sky to face the head of the inferno "Come and get some" He smirked.

Isaac sighed. "Fuck." He said, as he strode his fiery form over to the man, the pressure negated by the upwards gravitational push he was maintaining. He hardly felt a thing as he swung his left arm forward, sending fire balls at the mage as he tried to grab him.

Jay deflected most of the fireballs, batting them away with his blade. He did not however evade the grab. The flaming arm literally consuming him.

"That was too easy." Isaac muttered, hovering the fiery arm away from the rest of the body and compressing it into crystaline form, creating a large ruby-like crystal. It floated above the ground by about five or so feet.

For a few moments, it was as if Jay were simply gone. Possibly trapped in the crystal?
No. That was not how Stryder rolled. If the sage was feeling in any way suspicious he was completely right as the flames around him would have suddenly devolved into base magic, existence itself. With broken, charred wings Jay was directly behind Isaac. One hand on his shoulder.
"After this, we should totally hang out." Jay laughed "Templar Art: Remix." He repeated his previous statement as the clock disappeared again. Suddenly it was as if every offensive spell both Jay and Isaac cast during the fight were suddenly recast... All directly at Isaac. The all out magic blast from Jay, the towering inferno even the dragon. All cast upon Isaac. If that wasn't enough, they kept coming. Repeatedly, wherever Isaac would teleport or move; Jay and the repeatedly casting spells would follow.

Isaac's eyes widened as his wards were brutalized, his gravitational magic pounded considerably, to the point where it began to break, to shatter like metal plates. Flames spewed everywhere, particles ignited, the pillar of flame he had cast was sent at him, blinding him slightly as his fire shell absorbed and was strengthened by it. The fire spells weren't a problem, they helped. Rocks flew towards him and he flinched away, but they were incinerated by the strength of the flame, the sheer heat eminating from this source melted the surface, turning into liquid glass. Isaac took a breath, and cast a spell, creating a small portal all over his body. It was extremely close to his skin, close enough that each and every spell would have to get through it. Jay would be sucked into the portal as well, if he kept contact.

Jay let go of Isaac the moment a portal began to appear but he was already rewinding the portal about as fast as Isaac could muster it. The portal could only successfully cover about half of Isaac as the outspray also burned the Templar quite an amount.

Isaac grunted, his attention focussed on keeping the portal up, since Jay was still in the fire being's form, the fire continued to get hotter and hotter, melting even more of the ground as it went. Isaac, himself burst into flames, but he couldn't feel it, he couldn't feel the heat or anything. He was made of flames now, the same type of flames that were currently melting to battleground down.
Isaac, with the portal still over his upper body, became the flame creature, the portal transferring itself to the section around Jay and closed in on him. Any contact with the portal itself would suck in the time mage.

The portal followed him around like a big, white, wormhole-like puppy dog. Everywhere he moved in the fire body, the portal would folllow.
"Well at least you're safe from all those continous attacks you created." Isaac smirked, pushing his ever growing insides out. The area encompassing Jay and the portal were forced out of the main body and trapped in another compressed crystal.

Again the crystal didnt show Jay's existence and the portal faded back into base magic. Jay appearing just outside of the flame construct and just staring at the gigantic body of flame

Clearly uncontested in his escape, Jay drew his blade once more and this time rushed straight into the flame body again; This time as Jay approached the flame body would slowly but surely return to being Isaac. By the time Jay approached, Isaac would be whole and himself as Jay literally swung a supercharged, supersped flat of his blade straight into the sage's face.

Appearing as the blade of Jay's sword swung into Isaac's face, a WhiteOp teleported Isaac back a bit before much, if any damage could be done. Tis fight was over. As MedicalOps came out from one corner of the arena to take Isaac to the medical wing, the WhiteOp walked up to Jay, grabbed his hand, and flung it into the air, the mark of a victory, as he announced, his voice amplified, "I hereby declare this man, Jay, victor of the first match!"

Applause began rapidly as the WhiteOp whispered in Jay's ear, asking him to kindly report to the MedicalBay for a brief checkup before going on.

As Jay began to transform him, Isaac smiled, the flames of his other body slowly regressing to reveal his pale, white face, etched with wrinkles of blue energy leading to his eyes. He began to laugh.
Then he disapeared and reappeared, several times, until there were seven exact copies of him floating around Jay. Each had the same magical signature, were corpereal and would certainly be able to do some damage.
In unison, their laughter continued.

Jay decided that it was time to go on the full offensive, no more counter attacks. White energy crackled from Jay's sword as he spun, a wave of cutting energy bursting from the blade

Two or so of the cackling clones were cut in half by the arch and fizzled out of existance, their cackles still echoing out. The others, however dodged easily, floating up and down. Suddenly, around Jay, explosions of electrical energy, designed to paralyze, appeared and would try to consume them.

The tendrils would be met by barriers of darkness, walls of shadow that would appear whenever they attempted to hit a clone.
At the same time, the fire dragon burst from above and swept down behind Jay, its mouth wide.

The moment the tendrils collided with the barriers the barriers were reverted to base magic once more. As the dragon came towards Jay the tendrils changed course to collide with the magical beastie.
