And the magical beast was slowly turned into its base magic, though it let out a roar and a spout of blue flames in the direction of Jay with its dying breath.

The barriers simply continuously respawned everytime.

The flames were sucked into a Templar Portal as Jay faced the barriers and the various Isaacs, the tendrils congealed into a ball above the Templar as the blue fireball was launched out of it repeatedly at the barriers and eventually the sage.

The flames hit the portals and were immediately redirected at Jay. Each and every Isaac moved in constant motion, throwing walls of flame at Jay.

The flames were repeatedly taken into portals and shot back towards the Isaacs

Isaac simply absorbed the flames. Iron clamps shot out of each clone's fists and would chase Jay down, and attempt to keep him pinned as the clones began to spin in a circle, creating mighty whirlwinds.

But, alas, the Isaac transported was simply one of the many clones. He was indeed caught and struggled with the bonds, but the other clones continued with their magic.
Magnificent winds, well over five hundred feet per second engulfed the arena. Each of the clones, ignoring the winds with magical barriers, began a chant, solidifying the air of the arena.

Jay dropped to the floor once more, a much larger clock face circle surrounding him upon the ground as silver energy drained out of him and into the circle. He stared up at the Isaacs as the wind took away the Templar's hat "We're finishing this." He growled

And, with their chant finished, the air surrounding Jay and everything else besides them was suffused  and created an extremely dense "air", essentially making it so that the air was literally as thick as frozen pudding by slowing down molecules and forming them together. Jay would be frozen in place, or at least very much slowed.

The Isaacs proceeded to move around, surround Jay, one ending up behind him, a blade poised at his throat. They were completely unaware of anything Jay was planning.

The Templars eyes snapped open as suddenly, there was one Isaac. Frozen right before him in time.
Jay held his blade, nonchalantly at the Sage's throat "This was damn fun and damn painful. I hope you can consider yourself my buddy."
He sighed "I'm literally a shift away from murdering the guy can we call it a day?"

"Match," a WhiteOp muttered to himself from his place among the stands. Small, black vortexes began to open up all over the stadium, releasing small bits of magic to repair the stadium of its damage. The WhiteOp appeared before the two contestants, in the middle of the arena, a smile on his face, as his voice boomed, "I hereby declare the victor of the first match, Jay, the Templar. He will advance to the next round of the tournament. Both contestants may now report to the medical wing for post-match checkup. The next match shall begin shortly. Thank you."

And with that, he was gone.

Jay unfroze his opponent, almost collapsing from the strain the battle had put on his body. He shakily extended a hand to shake the Sage's. "Good's fight, buddy"

Isaac laughed, this time it was not a cackle but rather a soft, quiet sound similar to the whisper of the wind blowing through trees. He shook the Templar's offered hand. "Only the best for the crowd." He smiled, winking.
