Merd (Closed race)
The Merd are a race of sentient super cooled liquids disks that appear to glassy amorphous solids. They have a pretty consistent coloration of Black, Emerald, and clear swirling. The Merd as a race created by Sliph eons ago, have a history that stretches back to his experiments with psionics. The Merd have a entangled mind, not a hive mind. Their Psionic entangled mind that is a shared dreamworld, as part of their basic biology.
History
Merd started merely as a lab experiment of Sliph eons ago, he created them, and their dreamworld even before the Marid. Sliph Left them to be a lake dwelling species that did not spearing to be living much less sentient
From infancy they have kept to themselves, the Merd live exclusively within this dreamworld, they only interact with the Marid, who have learned through eons of careful negotiation how to communicate with the Merd, eventually getting them to at least acknowledge the world around them.
The Merd live in their dreamworld, as a whole their society lives in this abstract world. They do not really consider this world the real one, The dreamworld is a fully realized world in which they live.
The Merd acting both as the Marid’s currency, and as their basic long distance messengers. The Merd agree to this because it allow them a safe way to live within the dreamworld, and for most of their lives ignore the rest of the world.
Dreamworld
The dreamworld works by their entangled minds. it’s a combination of spiritual and psionic abilities. You see they are spiritual entities anchored the disks, which act as non-sentient conduits of the dreamworld. The dreamworld is a world in which the Merd live and express their lives, normally ignoring the rest of existence.
Reproduction
In the dream, it works pretty much the same as any humanoid race.
However in reality, they reproduced via a slowed form of mitosis. That is why within the Psinet all couples have twins.
Magic
They have no special aptitude for magic and are similar to the Marid in they method of using magic, or lesser than it.
