What is your ideal event?
« on: April 13, 2012, 04:18:06 PM »
Personally, I've kinda felt left out of most of these events on SP. Now, thats not just the fault of the staff because I had to try to get into the events but I never really felt attached to the events except for Plex. I loved Plex, it was a cool event that unified everyone against a common foe and integrate everyone on the board. However, since Plex ended in K2 writing the whole thing out, the thing kinda fizzled out of existance. The Peace event on False Heaven was good too, full of worthwhile RPing until someone brought violence into the factor... But now we've got the Excell tournament, just another fight. We've had the Plex Tournament and we've apparently had an Excell tournament before as well, but I personally am not really fond of these hardcore fight offs. I would like a peaceful event that focuses on RPing and then turns into something that requires some sort of teamwork. If none of you have noticed... Not much on SP strives to put any sort of team building or teamwork into focus.

Personally I'd prefer a primarily peaceful event with at least some conflict(to keep interest, of course). I didn't participate in the PC3, but I really liked the concept BECAUSE it was less about battles and more 'Ok, tons of different races with pointy guns and weapons of mass destruction, just might be a good idea to try and keep everyone peaceful'. We need more events like that, just without all the 'getting hijacked' parts.

I personally feel we need something primarily focused on character, but with a great conflict where action takes place as well. The battle with Plex was great: we were able to develop characters through the battle (or at least I was and many around me as well), and we were all united in a common plot against a common enemy. I'm really mucking this up, but anyway, it was great, and I'd like others like it in formula.

You know what event I don't want ever again? A tournament. It's been at least a month and we're still on the first round. >:(

L-Rage, way its looking we're saying we'd prefer more of the type of event you'd wanted. With, of course, the apparent exception of those two people(they DID hijack it, after all).

Hasn't, like, almost every event been hijacked in some way? Or at least turned out for the worst? No matter what event we throw out there, it's going to be hijacked as well; not necessarily by the same two people, but...

That's probably what we get for having events open for all the members rather than just a select few like SP has done in the past (Which was terribad.).

Well, I mean, the PC3 event ended in False Heaven's destruction which was obviously NOT L-Rage's or the staff's attention. I liked PC3, I was just busy during most of it.

We need an event that can capture the attention and involve every single member. Including those without magic; the Negi invasion was a good part of involving everyone. As everyone was a target. Something like that is fun imo
[X] Tame both Time and Space.
[X] Live inside black hole.
[X] Use the stars themselves to fuel personal war-machine.
[X] Be a God.
[X] Own biggest ship in the universe.
[X] End countless civilizations.
[X] Destroy a couple dozen planets.
[  ] Solo the planet golems.

Well, another good part was the festival of waves. Most people had characters able to attend that, and it went off from there allowing a large group of members to participate. Now it's just 2.

Also, I didn't participate much in PC3 because there was a low spot on activity for a while and I (Being the oblivious guy I am) completely missed it when it came back up.
