Teran (The Demon of the Minds)
« on: April 19, 2012, 12:46:43 PM »
Character Name: Teran
Age: At this point it would be unknown
Gender: Female (I think, lol)
Race: Ancient Human (Original humans from the beginning of time.)
Appearance: Tall, skinny, black hair, and older look
Alliance: None
Personality (one paragraph minimum): Crazy as fuck. She has no stable state of mind. I think she may actually hear voices as well.
Combat Level (Average of magic level and physical strength. If you don't know what to do here, don't fill it out and the staff will help you.): 0
- Magic  Level: 4
- Physical Strength: 1
Character's History (Minimum 3 Paragraphs): Once the Embodiment of Illusions she became the Demon of the Minds when Akida and Atama twisted her with their powers. She to date is the only account of their powers actually doing this to a person.

She really can't fight to be honest. Her main focus has been illusion spells but that still makes her dangerous for she can make people see what she wants. Other than her powerful illusions she really has no use. She is annoying to Akida and Atama more than anything now.

(I'm sorry for the short bio but I really can't see any thing else to put on her. I mean we know what happens base on the topic I left in the dossier. She makes illusions, she isn't really that special.)

Personally, since you have Light, I'm gonna say no. Yes, she's twisted by their power, but I don't think you can lose Embodiment status like that and, at least through requests, you can't have multiple Embodiments.
Do you have what it takes to change your destiny, to defy FATE itself?

I've talked a little with Nisorin on the concept of embodiment to make sure this is correct, I don't know if this all correct but it is my understanding that when one dies they lose embodiment powers. Now when she was fighting with Akida and Atama they warped her and twisted her soul, which come to find out I'm referring to the spirit. When they messed with it they complete ruined it, which is why she is crazy or insane. Now during that time she would have been dead but with Atama powers she survived. While doing this her embodiment powers would have moved on for even though she survived she wouldn't be the same person and was at some point during the process dead.

Unless I'm mistaken of course. The whole point of her being an embodiment in the first place was to symbolize why people would have thought she was a goddess. Many could achieve lowly magical spells but she focused extremely well on one thing.

Okay as I pointed out I think Teran should be an NPC. I'm not really going to go into any detail with her. She is pretty much a tool for the plot. She may use her illusions from time to time, but I wouldn't really think it is enough to worry about her status as a character.

NPCs don't have magic levels nor do they need to be approved. If it gets too powerful when you use it though it WILL need to be requested.

True but I'm not sure as I've said this before but all she does is make illusions.

Example. One minute Kaleb could be walking along and he looks over his shoulder and sees a bunch of people doing the limbo. That is pretty much what she does. Mess with their minds.

To clarify, she gave up her status as the embodiment and chose a successor?

Pretty much. I can't really explain the way I want it but the embodiments chooses the successor if I'm correct, but Teran now isn't the same Teran that was before they messed with her. She's changed even down to the basis of her core. Thus the embodiment would have had to choose another successor, for she would piratically have died during that conversion. The only reason she would survive is because Atama sustained her. Though for sake it isn't a option to do again. I mean the amount of magic energy that would take to keep someone alive during this process against there will in my opinion would be very high.

I'm also not going to say she was reinstated as an embodiment either though. So if thats all you were wondering then that would be my answer. I think Teran is more of a character that is going to drive others insane with illusions.
