History
The Vionix are a new addition to the galactic race, having only achieved true space flight a short few years ago. Although the race is one of the most advanced in all but spacefaring and have some extremely powerful weaponry under their command. They are also a relatively young race, having existed in full sentience for only 1400 years they evolved quickly and efficiently from there, with their gifts they quickly outgrew the need for fossil fuels and learned how to make 90% efficiency solar panels, and with their homeplanet so close to a small yellow star they had enough power to do whatever they needed to do. Technology for them advanced quickly, allowing them to improve their gifts and their vehicles. World Peace was declared quite quickly, all the Vionix deciding to work towards a common cause, space travel. It went in a domino effect from there, with the peoples united they had access to the best their race had to offer and set about their task with extreme fervour and after 10 years of diligent work and lots of failed prototypes they done it, the first spaceship of theirs was created. The Shimmering Dawn, the first of what they called the Dawn class of battleship and it all fell into place from their.
Appearance:
The Vionix at first glance look like human with the exception that all Vionix have extremely pale skin, snow white hair and either red, orange or pink eyes with no visible pupils. The male and female appear like human males and females and have all the same organs except with a few additions. Upon further inspection of a Vionix however it turns out that all Vionix are born with bio-mechanical, Sub Dermal implants which drastically improves their reflexes and speed and in males only it upgrades their strength whilst females gain an increase in perception and sight. These implants are usually invisible against their skin but in cases of extreme emotional response they flare up in different coloured lines all across the body of said Vionix. If the lines flare up a vibrant red then the Vionix in question is going through a period of extreme rage, if yellow then they are extremely confused, if purple they are in a moment of extreme pleasure or bliss, if they are blue then they are going through an extremely thoughtful moment and if the lines are white, the Vionix is in a state of near death or had a near death experience.
Upon an autopsy something else extremely interesting can be noted. The implants have also fused around the internal organs of the Vionix which, in moments of extreme peril only, allows them to achieve extreme feats of endurance, speed or strength but usually leaves their muscles torn and their heart ready to burst if it is done. The other thing is that the bio-machinery has also latched itself onto the Vionix's brain which allows them, at all times, to use 73% of their brain functionality, granting them extreme intelligence, reflexes and thought processes.
Tech & Magic:
As stated previously, the Vionix are extremely intelligent and are heavily technology focused, somehow when they were developing, they were never introduced to nor developed magic, leaving them completely inept in that field but they make up for it with their implants and technology.
Beliefs:
Vionix do not believe in any divine creator or god who shaped them, they agree with the theory of evolution about how they came to be and how everything else came to be they express the idea of, what they call, the "Big Bang" which caused the creation of the universe and all other realms outside of it. They are not a militaristic race nor are they peaceful, they thrive in a grey area in between the two, giving out aid and reinforcements with one hand whilst simultaneously destroying and crushing with their other, this makes them worthwhile allies as long as you have something to give them in return otherwise you may be facing a large problem from their powerful dreadnoughts and heavy cruisers as well as their massive mech capabilities on the ground.
