First contact: The Zarethians
« on: May 28, 2012, 02:19:27 PM »
Having found the planet through long range sensors; they appeared in deep orbit and in the silent void they launched their assault. Attacking for the claim over the planet. (herpderpderpderptotallyworththrowingabitchfit)

The small but incredibly deadly Magister fleet opened fire with their swarm cannons. Hundreds of thousands of slugs were fired into the void towards the planet below, but the people were the targets not the planet or the structures. Being shifted around every few seconds a slug would portal into buildings and with kill everyone in the room, and the people outside fared even worse. It was like a living swarm of kinetic projectiles.
The Deity and the Eliryale led the armada; the Deity had it's tyrant cannons along with a at least four halaex cannons already charging. Waiting for the enemies fleet response. The Eliryale was currently being piloted by none other then Ararus himself; already strapped into the ACM interface. The arti-core's power conversion was already at optimal levels, and the Pride of Andromeda AMP was currently funneling a considerably large amount of energy into the Eliryale's eye weapon.
The Goliath classes began to surround the Eliryale like a shield, but the multiple Verunas classes stayed a good distance away from the pack; ready to shoot down any and all comers.

Though they were silent, the sudden appearance of unknown ships had thrown the Zarethians into high alert. Immediately after they appeared, the AI on the planet had powered up the planetary shield generators. Anti-Portal shields, Anti Teleportation shields, Disentagration Shields and Energy shields all flared into existance, giving the large planet an odd glow of green and red energy.
As this happened, dozens orbital pulse cannons opened up fire. These satellites were essentially floating gun platforms carrying a single anti-titan cannon and several smaller weapons. As they fired the pulse shots, they opened up a portal at the barrel which ended up below the Diety, pointing upwards. In minutes, thousands of shots were firing simultaneously  at the two leading ships.

As the orbital cannons opened up, fighter-bombers, frigates and corvettes left their mooring ports and turned their weapons on the Magister fleet, the fighter-bombers firing their nuclear payloads at close range to the Goliath's shields and attempting to blast the enemy fighters out of the sky.

The Magister fighters responded immediately; glowing tendrils of pure energy met the nuclear payloads mid-flight and within moments the fighters knew were the detonators were, and the tendrils cut into the bombs like butter and turning them into nothing but scrap. Some made it through the fighter's defense but luckily the RIFT network caught most of them. Although a few went off but it was nothing a Goliath couldn't handle; it's shields took some damage though. As for the portals underneath the two lead ships they were taken care off by the RIFT network. Given warning by the spacial disturbances caused by portals opening below them they had responded by opening their own rifts on the output end of the enemy portals. Their own output rift was set up to leave the guns firing on their own planet; although from the opposite side of the world.

Having seen the force the enemy responded with the Eliryale's hangers opened and a thousand Hellions flooded out like a swarm of killer bees. Some would provide support to the fleet, but another part would be taking care of the planetary shielding. It was energy after-all, and all they needed was a direct connection.

Another volley of swarm shots left the Magister fleet, and this time they focused on the gun platforms and enemy air support. Hundreds of thousands of slugs rifted across the field of battle. Unable to track or recognize the pattern of attack the lower class vessels and platforms would be torn to shreds in a minute or so.

Now the Magister fighters and Hellions countered with a sudden rush; moving at extremely high speeds and having such incredible maneuverability made the space-borne Magisters hard to hit or even track; they unleashed hell on the enemy forces with such a variety of attacks that you'd never know what came next.

Now was the time for the fleet to hit them hard, and they did without mercy. The entire fleet lit the planet's shielding up with their tyrant cannons; it wouldn't hold long against this type of punishment. Anti-matter/matter reactions were incredibly powerful.

As soon as the Magister fleet entered the system and began its attack, warning reports echoed through a thousand different comm channels. The Zarethian fleet would no doubt be able to pick up one of these signals and, being ever vigilant, it would respond almost immediately to the danger presented. As well, once the comm signals reached them, the Zarethians notified the Mechera and Ferrarians of the imminent danger that threatened one of their colonies.

The planetary shield would distroy and disrupt the railcannon blasts before they could do any damage. As such, though, the initial shields were immediately replaced by a corona of white, a planetwide portal shield that distributed anything that touched it into the infinite blank-whiteness of the pocket dimension it encompassed. As the enemy fire began to reign into it, the shield began to charge with power.
(1/3)

As the Swarm shots were continously fired and destroyed several vessels before their shields were fully raised, the Zarethian AI adapted to the new battletactics with something of their own. As soon as the swarm shot came with in what the AI percieved as "Danger Range" it would, with the speed comprehensible only to an AI, teleport the ship/gun batteries out of harms way, around the battlevoid. It would not save all but it might possible save a few.

Even such, the gun batteries cut the portal power that tipped their weapons and commenced firing their pulse blasts full force at the largest of the enemy vessels, the Deity titan. The Anti-Titan cannons that they possessed were filled with radioactive ammunition which would result not only in the kinetic impact of the shot but a nuclear explosion as well.

Just as the platforms were teleported around, the Zarethian fighters made the best of their large nuclear payloads and teleporting technology. They popped out at all ends of the battlevoid, normally close to the smaller vessels (sometimes as close as a hundred yards) and dropped their payloads, opening up small parts in the shields with pulse blasts before teleporting to a new target. Right before they'd teleport, they would drop off what would seem to be blocks of debris, which would disipate and fall towards the ship's shields, disrupting communications, tracking and a multitude of other electronics.

Even as they did, portals opened up around the Magister fleet, in front of it, behind it, only a few hundred feet from the ships. Out of these portals appeared silent, black objects with signatures that would read only as space junk. There were hundreds of them, cluttering up displays, getting in the way and simply making it harder to find the other vessels.

When the planet's shielding changed; the fleet focused it's firepower elsewhere.

The Hellions had reached the planet's layer of shielding, and although they had switched to a different version it didn't even seem to slow their progress or their plan. Stopping seconds before the portal shield two-hundred and fifty Hellions lashed out against the fabric of space; causing it to warp and twist before finally spinning into itself and creating a wormhole. Tendrils of energy wrapped around the edges of the wormhole, and they seemed to reinforce and pull it open. It began to grow to the size of a football field, and two smaller wormholes were created within the first one. The output hole was located on the opposite side of the portal shield, and without missing a beat the four-hundred and fifty other Hellions dashed through and headed for the own objectives on the planets surface. Accompanied by a large force of nearly five-thousand Magister fighters. Fifty Hellions stayed behind and launched an ethereal looking beam of white energy at the planet below through the wormhole. The moment it made contact with the atmosphere it seemed to fuse with the matter of the world and spread like a plague. Within a minute it will have scanned the planet and it's forces below and would report back to the Hellions.

With the orbital cannons change in tactics, and the fact that they adapted quickly the Magister's discovered something about their enemy. They're smart, and they can learn quickly. The change in tactics helped them, but only for a minute or two before Magister's VIs had a change of their own to implement. A quick message was relayed to fifteen hundred fighters and the remaining Hellions in orbit, and in a quick flash they were all rifted to their own orbital cannon to strike down. They were to latch onto enemy shields with an energy link; not only would this allow them to manipulate the cannon's shielding. But they would teleport with them if the cannon tried to flee.

One linked to the shields it would be trivial to open small holes in them for precision strikes, and the swarm cannons were always precise. They'd rift a couple dozen slugs right into the openings into the shielding; courtesy of the multiple Verunas in orbit.

Noticing the increase orbital debris the Magister started to use incredible small exotic particles that could easily penetrate matter for radar and scanning purposes, and the new tactic ended up only momentarily blinding them. But now Magister fighters had cover and could see Zarethian fighters before they could see them; especially since they were linked to the fleet VI network. They saw everything the capital and higher saw. Which was practically everything. The resulting ambushes and changed tactics led to a insane spike in Zarethian losses.

The portals once again provided early warning for the Magister fleet, and whenever a fighter would portal in for a quick bomb run; he'd either be shot out of the sky or have his bomb RIFTed into Zarethian space. This quick hit and run tactic wasn't working anymore, and the Zarethian would be better off if they realized it soon.

The Magister fleet had intercepted and assumed the outgoing messages would end up bringing more enemies, and they prepared by charging all of their heavier weapons. The Goliaths and their FOAs, and the Verunas and their Halaex. Even the Deity seemed to be preparing for a head-to-head brawl and began pouring energy into it's weapon systems. Although both the Goliaths and Deity fired a coordinated swarm cannon volley, and one that literally ranged in the millions of projectiles at the remaining Zarethian vessels in the sky. Hoping to establish orbital dominance quickly.

Ararus even activated his own AMP; the Blackheart to work alongside the POA AMP. The two working together funneled an immense amount of energy into the Eliryale and it literally it's eye started to glow brightly. Shining light from the cracks of it's Goliath class shell. Whatever Ararus was planning on doing; it would probably be ready soon.

There was still a minute (in comparison) amount of firepower from when the Zarethians had accidentally fired upon their own shields. As the small Magister exo-suitscame nearer and finally stopped around above the portal shield, the volley of anti-titan pulse blasts were shot out at the same speed and power as they had when they initially went in. If that wasn't enough, the planet itself seemed to sense there was a battle going on and somehow, the craggy mountain peaks rose up, breaking apart the crust of the planet and creating large earthquakes in the process. From these cracks came an enourmously thick shield of metal which began to cover the middle atmosphere. Zarethians, not knowing the planets true purpose were as shocked as any might be if their planet suddenly sprouted giant bits of metal.

As for the portal shield itself, as the wormholes appeared, the small sections of the shield that were contaminated would flicker and reapear in seconds, revealing a brief glimpse of the massive other energy shielding and the metal plate stretching towards the sky.

Anything that was physical matter that would touch the orbital cannons, ships or fighters would find itself in a very unpleasant situation. The situation being that as soon as it got within some twenty or so feet of it, it would be disentagrated, not slowly, but whatever passed through or touched the shielding.

As for the fighters, they did not portal, they teleported. It was simple technology that the Zarethians had mastered. They appeared without notice and disappeared without a trace.

As for the debris, well, it promptly exploded in what would be a nuclear explosion of immense power (hundreds of them in fact) but they compressed themselves to the density of a nuetron star and released the energy from such (much more powerful then the nukes would be normally) on the extremely nearby Magister ships. One even floated towards the 'glowing eye' before it exploded, though this was completely coincidental. The 'debris' had floated towards all the Magister ships, after all.

As the ships continued their tele-fight, they began to focus on the big glowing target that seems to have presented itself. A multitude of very powerful pulse blasts would have to do something to it.

The ships and planet continued to send distress signals, and a few fighters disappeared, like normal for the ones bombint the ships, but actually jumped to the next friendly planet and began broadcasting their signals for help.

Space distrorted and cracked before breaking way nearby the planet allied to the Empire. Out from this impossible fissure in the fabric of space itself came a part of the Mechera's fleet:Leading the assault was the First Armada, followed by the four Battleships of the Mechera. After that came three of their Divisions, followed by another three Spies, and lastly the Gateway which produced the break.

[Attention Unknown Aggressors. This is the captain of the First Armada of the Mechera Empire speaking, and we wish to welcome you to the intergalactic scene and to be the first to hope your people are doing well in these times. That being said, we of the Empire are, quite frankly, tired of this shit. We just neat back a assault and are in the middle of preparations before we wipe the attackers out of this plane of existence and annihilating all traces of them from any of the galaxies they inhabit. This detachment is only here at the behest of our allies, the Zarethian Empire, and is mostly a reinforcing group. While we do wish to cordially invite you all to the galaxy, and would much rather make a alliance with your own rather than fight, we will NOT hesitate to rip your fleet to shreds and melt the remains down for scrap metal if you continue to aggrieve our allies. The choice is, of course, entirely your own to make.]

The broadcast was played upon several different languages(though not all at once, of course-they could find which one was closest to their own language and play it)in that the Mechera had downloaded during their time at the CotS upon their initial entrance to this dimension, many of whichthey hadn't encountered those who'd natively spoken it yet. It would, of course, be a very old dialect if any matched up, but at the very least communication could hopefully be possible.

The VIs actively translated and cataloged any of the known dialects and discarded any unknown ones out of sheer disinterest. Not only were they unimpressed by the Mecheran reinforcements, but by the Zarethian defenders as well. They hadn't even fired their primary weapons once, and they'd already established air dominance and breached their planetary defenses.

The switch to exotic particle scanning allowed for intricate details of everything scanned, and after a few seconds the debris was labeled as hostile enemy machinery. Before they could even explode they were surrounded with micro-rifts that removed a good ninety five percent of the explosions. The remaining five percent damaged the shields of the nearby ships but it was nothing Magister technology couldn't handle.

The scanning beams fired had finished it's job and had delivered the information to the Hellion forces on the planet shields. Planetary generators and high-importance people and installations had been marked to the invading planetary forces, and within minutes they'd have reached it and would unleashing hell. But the most amazing find was the fact that the planet wasn't a planet at all, but a massive stellar engine. It made acquisition even more important.

Sadly for the orbital cannons the disintegration aspects of the Zarethian shields became ineffective after they had established an energy link, and the coordinated attack worked perfectly. Nearly ALL of the Zarethian orbital cannons were destroyed outright while a few were only damaged heavily; a few specimens would be needed to run tests on.

As for the teleporting fighters they'd find themselves dogged relentlessly by the swarm cannons, and while teleporting would delay the inevitable it turned into an epic scene in the void. Fighters attempting to get away only to be chased by hundreds of slugs that reacted damn near instantly and could portal along with them. Within a few minutes the Magisters and Mecherans were the only ones who really had a presence up in space.

[We have already breached your defenses and destroyed your orbital forces. Board your allies vessels and surrender the stellar engine. Or we will begin systematically wiping you off the face of this station.] - A message sent down to Zarethian headquarters on the planet.

[We've penetrated the Zarethian's planetary shielding and have destroyed all orbital forces without firing a single primary weapon; you are also looking at what we consider a scouting party. We are also in position to fire upon any location on the station's surface, and civilian causalities will be enormous. We suggest that you act as the evacuation vessels for the Zarethian forces.]

The Eliyrale's glow faded and eventually ceased entirely, and it seemed to just wait there along with the rest of the Magister forces who continued to charge their primary weapons and faced the Mecheran forces.

Ararus smiled as he felt the gargantuan amount of energy inside the Eliryale's arti-core, but he wasn't someone who enjoyed senseless killing and the murder of thousands of innocents. He opened three way com-link between the Zarethian forces on the planet, and the Mecheran vessels.

[This is Ararus Kal Raev'eri; I am the commanding officer of this detachment. I am also the heir apparent to the Magistracy; I'm not the type to kill without need and it seems that your forces were unprepared and unable to stand before us. I personally believe it would be in both of your respective empire's wishes to surrender and retreat. You'll be treated with the utmost respect and honor as your evacuate the civilians and military forces from the station below. Otherwise we'll be forced to take regrettable action.
If trade, alliance, or vassalage are your intentions than you'll be able to find Magistracy appointment diplomats upon the planet below within the next galactic week.]

The Mechera caught onto the language used by the aggressing force, and saw which dialects were closest. They filtered away all languages but those, and applying some of the grammatical conventions not known to these dialects, to 'piece together' the current dialect used by the Magisters. The effect was that all unnecessary languages stopped being sent, and that as the conversation progressed the Mechera's grammar would steadily begin getting better, eventually to the point where the Mechera would be speaking a perfect replica of the Magister's language.
[Pardon me for disagreeing, but if our information is correct, you appeared out of nowhere and began assault upon the owning power of this world. Is this not 'mindless killing'? Is the mass-scale death of military personnel not senseless death? Really, you may want to get yourself in order there. As well, it is quite unwise to underestimate a new contender in any battle. You may have surpassed our ally's defenses here...But we are not them. Additionally, as cruel as this may sound, we are not especially concerned with the integrity of the planet below. It is a effective hostage against the Zarethians, however we are a seperate faction entirely. What we ARE concerned with is the retribution of any further death you may cause. On this note, it would appear that your own intent is to continue the battle if we do not retreat. So. What was tbat phrase...'Now you see us...]
At these words, everything would appear to vanish as a Isolation Engine surrounded each of the enemy ships...Individually. The extremely powerful Mirror Shields would cut off the Magister ships from one another, both visually and communicationally. In fact, nothing was visible beyond the Shields, not even starlight, nor the planet itself. The Engine itself severed the three-way connection between the Mechera ships, though the Mechera sent through the rest of their message through a extremely small portal opened behind each of the ships. The portal was small as a human, and also let in a AT Field, to prevent their foes from teleporting anything through it to escape. Additionally, a Pseudo-Magic pulse was sent through, surrounding the space within the Isolation Engine in particles of Pseudo-Magic. Any movement within would 'altert' the particles, which would then alert the Mechera, allowing them a effective map of the area within. These particles, once in place, would not actually move but instead phase through the enemy ship when it moved. The Mechera wouldn't have any knowledge of anything within the ships, but it would allow them to know the external movements of the ship. Through this, they would have knowledge ofanything if and when the Magisters re-aimed their cannons or other weapons towards the portal, and within a milisecond could relocate the portal to another location within the Isolation Engine. Outside the Isolation Engine, the Mechera prepared for the battle, fielding hundreds of thousands of Frigates, Corvettes, and Fighters of all kinds from the First Armada, the Divisions, and the Battleships. In addition, all three divisions began charging their Particle Separation Beams, while the Battleships charged their Energy Collection Weapons, and all offensive ships readied their weapons. As well, as many frigates and lower that were coming from the larger ships, the Gateway had a ID-Gate open between its Arches, allowing yet more...And more...And more to come through. The sheer numbers of the ships would blot out the stars, not that the Magisters would see this as yet. And most all of this, with the exception of the charging and deployment of ships, done in a matter of milliseconds, due to the speed at which the Mechera themselves operated.

[...Now you cant.' A rather nice quote, don't you think?]

(PSB 1/5 charge, Energy Weapon 1/? Charge, all weapons readied)

Not only have the Hallions not gotten into the planetary shielding, the portal shield appeared right in front of them. The shield provided a vacuum effect, pulling the small debris and such in... And this included fighters and the Hellions. The Nothing had gotten inside the shields yet as they were at full power and only barely started.

The Orbital cannons had some small luck, as they turned on their Portal Shields instead of particle shields and the Hellions fighting them would be sucked into a trapping void as well. As they did this, the orbital defences continued to manuever in and out of the battle-void, small white dots appearring and disappearing after a volley of blue shots.

[Fuck you very much.] Was the message sent back for the first transmission.

[I believe the only surrender we'll be accepting here is yours.] Replied a new voice from the void. The Zarethian Fleet had arrived.

Next to their Mechera allies a black-purple hole was ripped in the void of space, larger then a sun. Out from this came a trickle of little black, red and white ships. Close to a billion fighters, hundreds of thousands of frigates and corvettes and nearly fifty capitol-super capitol ships and two titans. Each and every one of the ships activated its pulse weaponry, its nuclear launchers, and all the other weaponry that the fleet had acquirred. Shields were active, guns were ready and the Zarethian fleet was on the war-march.

A secondary transmission was sent to the Mechera [My friends, the Zarethian people and I, personally, am  forever grateful for this assistance when we are most vulnerable.]

[ Now we're having some fun. :) ]

It was quite startling when the Magister fleet was cut off from itself; the vast mirror shielding worked for a bit. But the exotic particles already floating through the void allowed for quick understanding of the tactics the newly appeared enemy had just used. Even the pseudo-magic particles were discovered, but even if they were artificially created they still had a magic signature. Or what the Magister's thought was a magic signature; being new to the concept of Magic and the thousands of varieties that came along with it. They activated their respective AMI fields; hoping it would disrupt or remove the pseudo-particles.

The AT field didn't worry them in the slightest honestly and within moments they actually activated their three-point drives, and the entirety of the Magister fleet disappeared for at least a moment. Able to bypass the AT field due to the nature of the TPDs; it was only a teleportation device at the last phase of it's use. During the first part it's a parallel universe hoping technology. They appeared in the exact same location they were currently but in an alternate universe. The one they had currently hopped too was rather lax and uninhabited from they could devise, and even the stellar engine they were trying to take over had reverted back into a normal star.

The orbital cannons didn't stand a chance, and by actually changing shielding they opened themselves up for an even worse fate. Having dropped their shields for a split second to raise their other form they got hammered unshielded by the constantly attacking swarms, and even those that got their portal shields up only found them ineffective against the specialized strike. A void cannot suck a void, and that concept failed before the attacking fighters and hellions finished their assault. No orbital cannons survived the strike, and the fighters didn't fare better either. Having been dogged constantly by the swarm cannons long enough that they ended up shredded. What would confuse the enemy fleet is that even with the Magister vessels gone their RIFT network remained and worked perfectly fine. It was a quick bypass and was currently being powered by the Magister fighters and hellions who used their armor as the processing power and their own energy manipulating abilities to control the rifts.

The planet-side team was just as unaffected by the portal shield as the orbital strike team, and the portals they had constructed were still there. Held into place by the energy bands. Having tactical knowledge of the planet below the planet-side team heading for their objectives. They were to destroy all long range communication on the planet below, and take control of the planetary shielding. They flew low and hid their energy signature to avoid detection, and within a few minutes they reached their targets and started hitting them hard. Thousands of different attacks every seconds would be a challenge for anyone to mess with, and the Magister were the kings at blowing things up.

The orbital strike team opened their own evacuation rifts and got the hell outta there.

Back in the alternate universe the Magister fleet prepared for action, and by Magister fleet I mean the Eliryale had finally reached full capacity. Energy began to weave itself into four great limbs on the vaguely torso like vessel, and the violet colored energy began to harden and finally appeared to be some sort of matter/energy hybrid. Ararus activated the exotic particle scanning and information flooded his head in the form of imprinted energy, and he became one with the ship he was connected to. It's scans were his eyes, and it's body was his. Their objective was to capture the enemy installation, but enemy casualties were not among their orders. Activated the TPD one more the Eliryale appeared right next to one of the Zarethian's titan, and lashing out with it's right "arm" it connected to it with a gigantic energy link. Their shields opened up and the Eliryale slipped right in. Turns out it wasn't just a super-advanced ship; it was a super-advanced mech.

Attaching to the side of the ship and using the energy link to forcefully maintain the ship's shielding Ararus and the Eliryale were protected by their enemies own defenses. Sending forth an intense and directed wave of exotic particles the Eliyrale scanned and learned the location of the Titan's primary generator, and of course it's target. Activating both the POD and the BlackHeart AMPs Ararus flooded the Eliryale with even more energy, and suddenly it's eye weapon began to glow a dark and vicious looking purple.

The AM Fields had absolutely no effect upon the Pseudo-Magic particles. The power was like Magic, it really was, but there was something...Different about it. Something unnatural. As though...It simply should not be.

As the enemy Titan appeared extremely close to the Zarethian Titan, at least a thousand Isolation Engines appeared between the two ships, each shield mere atoms apart. These weren't closed on the other side, acting just as a barrier between the enemy ship that appeared out of nowhere and the Mechera's allied Titan. How could the Mechera create so many of these shields so fast, you ask? Really quite simple, matter of fact.
Each was created by a different Brigade-Class Frigate. Y'see, Brigades were never meant to actually be damage-dealing vessels. They're really more along the lines of the Tank Archtype, and are meant to use their Mirror Shields and Isolation Engines to block enemy vessels from fleeing the battlefield while using their extremely small size(relative to Capital and higher-class ships, anyhow) to blend into the Fleet and remain unseen. And at the time, there were hundreds of thousands of Brigades in the Mechera Fleet.
Because of how many Isolation Engine class Mirror Shields there currently were, it'd be nigh impossible to break through them all. A normal Mirror Shield was hard to crack already, Isolation Engines were even harder. And even if they did break a Isolation Engine? There were hundreds of thousands of other Brigades able to take up that Isolation Engine.
As well, as fast as the Magisters might be, the Mechera were very likely faster. Magisters, for one, were Organic...They prooobably couldn't control their perception of time. The Mechera? They very much could. And to them, the Magister fleet was moving quite slowly. They appeared, the Mechera instantly began the creation of the thousands of Isolation Engine Mirror Shields. All occurring in the span of a few milliseconds of the Magisters re-entering the dimension. Because the Mirror Shields were created directly between the enemy Titan and the Zarethian forces, they'd not have gotten linked to the Zarethian's shields or their ship in the first place, nor would they have been able to scan it for weak point. Even if they DID use the exotic particle scan thingermawhatsit, because of how Mirror Shields work the particles would've literally ended up hitting themselves, and the scan of the Mirror Shields would just report back that the Mirror Shield was made up of the Exotic Particles the Magisters themselves used.

Meanwhile, the Mechera fleet grew yet further in numbers, at least with the ships smaller than Capital Class. Still linked to their Home Dimension through the Gateway, where the Mechera were strongest, more and more allied ships flooded out. The Divisions continued their Particle Separation Beam's charge, and the Battleships continued to charge their Energy Collection Weapons. A transmission was sent, this one only within the Mechera fleet and not outgoing to the enemy ships.
[Are all of the ID-Gate systems fully functional?]
[We haven't taken any damage, sir, so they should be ready to go on your orders.]
[Very well. Begin a ID-Rend upon the enemy Titan.]
[By your command]

Soon enough, space itself began to crack and break once more...Only this time, the space that was breaking bisected the Magister Titan. Literally, the space the occupied was breaking apart as cracks erupted, going through the ship as though it didn't exist. These weren't PHYSICAL cracks, of course, oh no. This was just how we would see a breech in the walls between dimensions((or parallel universes/whatever, whichever it is, bleh)). This did not mean it would be any less damaging when it was finally torn apart enough for a ship to move through these cracks, normally used to allow a ship to travel outside of their dimension, now used to separate pieces of the ship from itself with the biggest break, once it spread far enough, tearing the ship in two.

(The Eliryale is a super-capital.)

The interference caused by the isolation engines was a momentary distraction. The concept of warping space was not a foreign concept to the Magisters, and it seemed that the Mechera were just getting used to playing around with portals. Alerted as the isolation engines came into existence the Eliryale's energy link changed targets and instead lashed against the fabric of space. Using a small portion of it's enormous supply of energy the Eliryale funneled a still considerably large amount of power into the area before it. Super-stretching the space and causing the Isolation engines to have to cover a MUCH larger area and slowing it down from completing as the space continued to stretch at a matching velocity as the isolation engine itself. A small boost to the propulsion system got the Eliryale through the hole in the IEs.

Attacking now with another energy link the Eliryale ripped open the Titan's shields; using it's exotic particle "vision" to detect the massive vessel's main generator. It would be easy considering it would be the largest source of power.

The dark purple flooded from the eye down to the Eliryale's chest; it's halaex cannon. Now super-charged and much deadlier than even the Deity's larger versions. It let loose an blindingly bright beam of energy and matter; it was barely an atom wide and it seemed to outshine most stars. The Blackheart and POD AMPs were two of the strongest there was, and working in tandem they could produce a godly amount of energy. The only missing link was a Magister capable of containing that energy. That was the purpose of the Eliryale; a massive artificial Magister. Burning through the armor like it wasn't even there and finally reaching the titan's core; Ararus mentally pulled back the energy and let it pool in the core itself. Eventually reaching critical mass before it exploded with enough force to treat the titan like an over inflated balloon. The titan's generator exploding coupled with the backlash would be a large enough explosion to at the very least damage every ship in the nearby system. The planet's shielding would probably be heavily damaged as well.

The Eliryale shielded itself by created a half-sphere portal shield to momentarily block the blast while creating another portal behind it to appear on the other side of the planet. Shielded by the stellar installation.

The planetary team had slowly cut off the Zarethian's long range communication's planetside and had dealt and enormous amount of damage to the forces protecting the shield generators.

(Riiight, Deity was their Titan, my bad)

Unfortunately for the Magisters, Isolation Engines were DESIGNED to cover a much larger area than the broadside of a Titan. These were Mirror Shields used to trap entire fleets within a battlefield by surrounding the battlefield itself. The amount of energy needed to occupy the expanded space was but a trivial increase, nowhere near the ships' capabilities. And even if there were holes and gaps created that the shields couldn't expand to in time, these were nigh-instantly filled by some of the OTHER hundreds of thousands of Brigade frigates' Isolation Engines. As fast as the Magisters could work, the Mechera could work faster.
And all of this isn't even getting into if the Magisters were spreading space the Isolation Engines already were at, in which case the Portal would've been stretched as well as the space for, as aforementioned, trivial increase in necessary energy.

Sections of the Magister's Super Capital ship began breaking off as the cracks in space cut apart the remaining pieces that connected them to the main ship. Magisters would fall through the cracks as the ID-Gate continued to fracture through the ship, ripping into hallways and through the walls, the floor, it'd even move THROUGH some of the Magisters themselves, separating whatever the crack went through. Even when the section remained a part of the ship, many were still cut off from the majority of it entirely because the breaks already covered through the exits. If any Magister looked through the cracks, it was like looking into a blue tunnel, shades of blue races in both directions. Anything which fell through the cracks was in a place Between. Anything which fell into the blue walls of the tunnel simply...Disappeared, all technological instruments completely fried.
If nothing was done to save the ship(which, by now, would have several parts exposed directly to space if not for those pieces being covered by the cracks and breaks that were the ID-Gate), it was morbidly apparent that the Super Capital would soon capsize into both sides of the largest part, the center, of the ever-expanding cracks and breaks, being swallowed whole by them.

The spatial cracks snapped shut as the Eliryale bolstered the space in and around it, and while this worked it was only a temporary solution. It was a lot easier to break something than it is holding it together. But Ararus didn't waste any time as he replaced any missing parts of the Eliryale with an energy/mass copies of the damaged areas. Escaping the isolation engines required a new technique, and Ararus had something in mind. An input portal appeared right before the mirror shield, and the output appeared on the opposite side. What Ararus was doing was creating an input portal right in front of  the output portal. So close that there was effectively no space between them. He kept creating more and more portals and slowly made a tunnel of warped space until it reached the Titan's shield with an output portal facing it. The Eliryale wasted no time entering the tunnel, and there it stayed inside the space. Attacking the Titan's shield with an energy link, and a small hole began to open in the Titan's shield.

By the time the mirror shield's protection was breached by the small line of portals, the Zarethian titan had already moved back a fair bit, the titan's captain, though an experienced spacefarer himself, was deeply troubled by the ammount of fractures that had appeared in space and were continously being reported by his scout fighter craft and the smaller ships around him. Right as the portal appeared, the Prometheus popped away, the sound echoing inside the ships around it, and it reappeared on the other side of the system. As it did such, AT and AP fields were raised to encompass the whole of the battle area.

As the mortally wounded enemy ship flew closer, the entire Zarethian armada unleashed the might of their pulse weaponry on the lone ship, space suddenly being lit up with millions of minute white dots traveling towards their target with the power and wrath of the Zarethian people.

(OOC: 3 day rule)
And thus, the Zarethian titan was saved, for the moment at least. As for the Magister ship, its crippled shields and rended hull stood against the perpetual blasts of the Zarethians for mere seconds before being rended into debris, floating off into the aether. As if to make sure, a titan's pulse blast struck the centre of the lost ship and all evidence of its existance vanished in a blue-white explosion, stark against the black depths of space.

The Zarethians then began to inspect the trajectories of the ships and how they appeared in the system in order to discover the planet of origin of this new enemy.

If I had the chance to get to a library I would've. Some people actually have lives and can't just sit at a computer all day everyday Hikaru. Between helping my Dad who just had his fourth knee surgery, my mother who's practically disabled, keeping my drug dealing lil' cousin in line. Trying to make enough money to pay my car payment, and all the other little shit..I get busy. Sorry.
Not to mention preparing for the trip, AND going to Missouri and back in one day. I was fucking busy.

The Eliryale didn't move from it's spot as the barrage neared. It stood there in space like a proud monolith, the pinnacle of Magister technology. As the pulses once again neared the Eliryale thousands of energy tethers shot forth from it's body. But instead of snaking towards each individual projectile it formed a massive cocoon around the ship. The pulse shots making contact with the energy and being absorbed into the Eliryale's power supply. Further increasing the healing rate.  One thing that would become known to the rest of the universe.

Energy is the base of the Magister's power. Firing any sort of energetic weapon at them is like throwing a fireball at a wildfire thinking it'll snuff it. The Hellion's on the planet below had been left relatively unchallenged as they swept through the Zarethian forces on the planet below. Reaching the planet's shield and taking control of the station. A single Hellion laid his hand on the main console, and the planet's shield raised once more. Followed by a massive field of energy that disrupted current anti-fields. Being energy themselves they were no match for the Magister's powers. The station's shields however were changed. It was now a double sided portal shield. The portal on the outside led to a completely different location then the inner layer. It also started to shrink. Effectively transporting the ENTIRE station to an unknown location. The Eliryale never intended to destroy the enemy fleet.

Just provide a big enough distraction.

1/3 posts till planet is gone.
