Computer Work
« on: May 29, 2012, 02:28:02 PM »
Lucien upon arriving in the habitation area would immediately go over to one of the computers and sit down at it. Taking a few moments to familiarize himself with the controls he would begin a rapid stream of typing. His fingers would be moving across the keys at rapid speeds as he made a program designed to help refine his ideas. Punching in keys that would make the program be able to process the idea, Lucien began to type a code about Cryostasis and expanding the natural life span of a Narrikian through science. After about an hour of this, the serum would exist at least in digital form for the time being.  Finally, he had done enough work. Pushing the print command, Lucien would walk over to the printer and grab the print out once it had cooled off and then put it in his pocket. Some medical equipment would be required to create the serum and that Lucien did not have access to as of yet.  Life just had to grow more and more complicated.

Arrius led the Narrikian down to the habitats, his carbine out at all times, he was a cautious man and acted on a 'shoot first, ask questions later' style of thinking and he did not trust this Narrikian one little bit. This was proven externally by the fact that his finger was constantly near the trigger and he kept an eye on this other being. After leading him to the habitat, he waited inside the room and watched the Narrikian work, Arrius' carbine always close at hand and then he saw the other being print something out. Arrius sensed something was slightly off and stepped in to the room, holding the carbine with one hand as he took the print out from the computer, not allowing Lucien a say in the matter. "I am taking this as property of the Vionix. You will be allowed a copy but we will keep this one." He said to the Narrikian curtly and without emotion. He looked over it and passed a translator built into his armour over it and read through it. He quickly realised that this was an idea on how to lengthen the life of a Narrikian and it seemed be some sound technology so Arrius put it into a storage slot in his armour's pouch and then stepped back to the door, carbine still in hand.

Lucien had been so close, only to have victory yanked out of his hand. So rather than print out another copy Lucien pushed the delete key and erased everything he had been working on from the computer not letting a single bit of the information he had been using remain. The program he had created along with the serum schematics were deleted by him. The serum could not be used. Lucien would have to alter the schematic so that it could not be canceled out or disabled by the Vionix. Darn it.  Why did that person have to be so fast and well-armed? If Lucien had a weapon he would have contested the matter, but he did not.

"Forget it. Just keep it. I deep-sixed the information."

Lucien would later when he had his own computer work on the serum some more. It had not even been within an acceptable margin of error.  The one that Arrius had taken would not even work due to it having a 60% margin of error. Lucien would work on it later.
