Anti Cheating by Staff
« on: June 03, 2012, 10:16:56 AM »
As of June 3rd 2012 a new amendment to the rules is being proposed by me. When a character, piece of tech, empire, race or whatever already has the required number of approvals there cannot be a take back of those approvals unless the staff member who wants to first submits what is wrong to the member who made the stuff?allowing them time to edit.  This means that for example say I was invading one of Hik?s territories with a char and she put denied on a char to stop that invasion?she couldn?t do that anymore.  This sort of acts as an anti-cheating for the staff members thing preventing them from causing too many problems with their staff powers.

This would also apply to regular members, preventing them from bickering about what should be approved or not. Also, as part of this amendment once a char is approved the topic should be locked and all posts but the app and approval in it should be deleted. It should then be moved to accepted characters.

This is kinda obvious. That's staff abuse. If someone disapproves something they need a reason.

Oy, I have my reasons on whatagrees or disagrees with me. Some nonsensical stuff is put up and I see it? I'll say something regardless if it was wanted or not.

It is in these lonesome times that we reach towards the light sublime
And from that light we pull the resolution of our time
To begin the end and start anew

...Having the DNA of a jellyfish wouldn't magically give you the ability to shoot lightning from your fingers...
Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

Jellyfish have poison not lightning. But anyway, Zak was just showing one of Hawk's mistakes from a race request.

Someone's been playing to much Zelda

Anyway, I'm not sure if it is a rule or not already, but staff members are allowed to overrule in majority situations, right?
(eg, Hikaru says no to a character and three other staff members say yes)
Characters: Reykjavik (Reyky) Keflavik   Naralia Arnigtaliila   Tessitura Reprise   Salgren Keflavik   Alexander Damian Johnson   Laniq   Calto Rubian   William Benesque   Cadinae Rybic   K   Zaigen Yevitt

Well. If something's been approved another staff member can come along and pause the approval despite it having two approvals, if they raise valid argument against the topic. Effectively if they have a real concern that needs to be addressed they can raise it. But if the majority of staff thinks it should be approved despite that one staff member's opinion, then it's put to a vote.

Magisters were approved by a majority vote of staff. Three approved of it, two did not, so it was approved.

How many people with Jellyfish DNA do you know huh? Perhaps they can shoot lightning out of their fingers. Also as the comment about Zelda, he probably found the idea on it and decided to go ahead with it. Also those Jellyfish made my Link retarded.

Do note he also watches the Secret Saturdays. They have `Atmospheric jellyfish` who shoot lightning.

...But jellyfish don't even utilize electricity. They use an actual toxin...

Again, Hawk most likely didn`t know this and thought Jellyfish stings were electrical.
