The City of Lus -- one of the most advanced cities in the galaxy. And it had caught the eye of someone. Who? That was yet to be determined. Whoever they were, they were coming to take the city for their own. No matter what the cost.

A Drift Space window -- FTL technology originally used by the empire started by Vincent, son of Koty, some twenty or more years before, opened over the planet as a Capital ship -- Notte Class -- came forth, it's railguns fired on the planet below. It began to fire the moment it let out of Drift Space, the ballistic fire particularly targeting any crucial defenses it could find.

Of course as always, Lus was completely encased inside an outer metal shell of the planet, the entire 'real' city being inside. As had always been, Lus did not let just anyone in without first finding out if they were friend or foe, as had been the tradition since Rev and Gen had advanced the place. Now, on the outer shell of the planet, the metal flickered into life like that of a tv-screen and the words Friend or Foe? blinked into focus followed by a large pawprint signature.

The railgun projectiles on the other hand were quickly teleported away as the planet activated its T-Fields.

AMI Looks quizzically at the incoming contacts. "All weapons systems, full-power." she ordered into the system. At her words, All defense systems were put into full gear. They immediately began selecting priority target should she give the order to fire.

"Rev, Gen! She called to them.

The Notte Class ship responded by using its plasma ray beams to superheat the metal, in an attempt to cut through it. Shields were raised and the Notte Class prepared it's next attack should this fail.

In reaction to the next attack the P-fields also turned on and the plasma ray simply went 'through' the planet and out the other side as a the entire surface layer of the planet had become a portal.

The words Friend or Foe? were quickly replaced by FOE which blinked out suddenly and were replaced to glowing red eyes and a devilish wide grin of sharp teeth.

As Rev and Gen were both not on the planet and were without magic, they were unable to answer AMI. Instead a catlike girl walked through one of the walls into where AMI was, "Cheshire hears we have new friends to play with. May Cheshire welcome them?" The red eyes and smile were revealed to be hers.

In response to the Portal Field, the ship first tried an Anti-Portal Field, common standard technology for most factions, just like AM and AT fields.

"Please do, little missy. Go and show these jerks what we are made of." she said in an oddly cheerful voice. AMI immediately activated, and put on stand-by any repair nanites they had. They would easily repair anything that was breached. "Ace?" AMI calls to one of her lesser ARIs. "Give Ches a hand, and find out if we have any contingency plans, alright?"

Ace salutes and follows Cheshire. Meanwhile, people were being sent into protected areas of the planet, and security units remain stationed to engage any breachers. At the IFF Identification of FOE, the Anti-Ship batteries began to open fire onto the ship, shooting previously selected vital targets, including engines, and life support systems.

The ship, along with its entire attacking force, and commander, were killed by the defensive fire. AMI looked at the demolished attacking force pleased. "Ches, Ace, good job you two." she said to them as if she were a proud mother.
