This is by far the stupidest idea I have ever seen on Shattered Planes. I could go watch Megapiranna or MegaShark vs Giant Octopus to see far greater than tenfold the intelligence that went into this thought. The wording on my previous sentence makes is better than the idea of this event.
For the record, I've seen dozens of fictional stories that prove loosing tech can be great. I cite my first example as Jericho, a CBS serial I liked as a kid about the US after a nuclear strike taking out most major cities as well as the power supply. However, this is shattered planes. We've just lost magic. This is bad timing. Yet I can forgive that.
What I cannot forgive is the explanation. The idea of all tech coming from a single being hat is tech is insanely stupid. The idea of all code being derivative from a single source is stupid enough to begin with, especially for a multiple-person RP. I've wanted to make my characters, the Heliphlein, different. They came about hidden from the rest of the universe and have developed tech from scratch. Their pixels are supposed to be hexagons rather than squares. There is literally no way that Alpha could connect to their systems through this explanation, unless you said that it was just that good. However, we've been through this before. Hikaru and Nisorin shut me out when I tried to request a ship that could hack into a ship of different technology without it be metagaming. As they said it, no Hollywood hacking. The Alpha is something that has already been demonstrated illeagle be SP precedent. Zak has contacted me about quitting SP over this, and frankly, I agree. I'm leaving SP for the duration of this event or until staff comes to their senses and mulls it entirely.
