People won't stop complaining about Alpha. That kind of drama is just as bad as the current issue on DA for me involving Venloknir's AXUS and Annicron's MTTs. People need to shut up and deal with it.

And admittedly, the only things I ever saw on this board was warfare. I find constant warfare and invasions boring as hell and a major setback for me to start anywhere. Another issue with this board and it's 'Major' players is that this board is losing its touch and getting boring for them.

I think having this kind of challenge presented to everyone is interesting. My entire Sons of Plunder, save a few spies and those currently embroiled in on-planet events (Kerion, Luna, Nisorin/Celestie) are all aboard spaceships. If everyone would just stop complaining about how their stuff is suddenly going to get destroyed or die then maybe they could find ways to deal with it.

EDIT: Though to be honest, when I'd first heard about the first time magic was made completely useless everywhere, I'd already started planning towards both a second magic malfunction, and a technological version as well. Hence the Sierrensa and why all my ships run off of artificial Weaves.

Seeing the world through a child's eyes is truly a unique experience. It helps you to retrieve that sense of awe, magic and wonder that you lost as you lost your innocence. Tell me, when was the last time that you thought of those childhood dreams? You know, the ones that you used to spend all your time wondering and fantasizing about? Have you forgotten them so easily? Have you forgotten what it felt like to see something for the first time, to see the magic in the mundane? Everyone says you should take the time to 'Stop and smell the roses'. But you should also take the time to look for the fairies, embrace the wind and enjoy the rain. Just once today, stop for a moment and look into that little piece of nature you pass everyday. Perhaps you may see something you did not notice before.

Hey, Lyoko? Maybe its not because it doesnt benefit us (like any other event ever did *rolls eyes*) but more because the way you put it initially doomed all of our ships because the power was off AND you're forcing people to participate in an event. Sometimes its cool, the no magic thing was nice but when you take away both... Its kinda retarded.

Nik in particular had a point that the whole reason Hikaru denied his technology was the basis of what you're doing with Alpha.
Then, the Mechera are basically fucked over by the lot of it because they're stuck in cyberspace. Yeah, great job breaking it hero. If thats not an unfair event I dont know what is.

If all you're hearing is "Oh I No Leik this event, becuz It no benefit me. Durrrrrrrrrrr."  then maybe you shouldnt be a staff member. The staff are supposed to listen to the members, especially when forcing them into something. If over half your member base calls BS, quits or threatens to quit then maybe, heres an idea! You did something wrong. Just let that idea seep into your skull and you'll be better qualified to be staff then Hikaru is because she doesnt care about the members. She wines about us not posting but does nothing, makes nothing herself. If nothing else, you two couldve NPCed some stuff in order to get people more active.

You both were so "desperate" because no one was posting but did you guys once post ICly trying to get people to look back at the site? Did you ask your other active staffer what to do or include him in discussions? Once ask US, the members for ideas of what to do? No! Right now you made a very hasty, poorly thought out decision and you're paying the price for it. As staff, youre supposed to know your member base, know what they like, what'll get them interested and active. As staff, you're supposed to be the protectors of the site's integrity, its plot, story, and health. You're caretakers, and you're supposed to look out for what will keep the site healthy and whilst you may have the power as staff, remember that every dictator fears those that he oppresses. You're its base, we need you, but at the same time you need us because we're the core.

There is only so much pain that can be taken before the bonds and chains of sanity are forsaken
It is in these lonesome times that we reach towards the light sublime
And from that light we pull the resolution of our time
To begin the end and start anew

Or perhaps it is because of the fact you are using an insanely overpowered character. I'm sorry but to be able to disable all eletricity in the universe, that is god modding right there. Yet if me or someone else had this idea and tried to go through with it Hikaru would come down and bitch about it being too powerful. And she would right. There have to been limits. If this was just a book you were writing then a character like that would be okay, but this isn't a book. Its an rp with other people. All in all Zak's almost right on the money. You guys don't do anything to fix your problems. We talked about reforming the staff in a way that would include the members with what is going on yet it is clear that Hikaru and you don't want us to know a damn thing for fear we are just going to tell you what you think, that we don't like that idea. I'm sorry that we don't but it was too overpowered and the wrong time in the first place. Leaving us with nothing is boring. But we already know technology isn't a big deal to Hikaru, and Swift, so why would they care? Oh wait because they are staff members. The staff as Zak said is suppose to listen too us. Even if Swift has been listening all we got is quit your bitching and do it anyways. That isn't how the staff is suppose to be. I think if you want to pull this shit it is time for change. Maybe a fresh staff or perhaps a new rp, because I for one do not want to sit here and watch the staff say, you aren't important, in this story only admins and mods are important, because that is what the fuck you are saying now. In fact the only reason why this topic is still up is because K2 made it and don't say thats not way because we all know its true.

You're one to talk, Blackcat. You've done worse than this. And the reason we don't give plots we make up is so it's a surprise so that people aren't expecting it and metagame because they know what's going to happen. And god, you know. On other forum-wide RP sites they do events like this and one gives a damn, they either join in or don't post for a while. If people pull what you're pulling? The topic is locked or they're told to stop complaining.

You're lucky we let you get away with the bitching you people are doing. Any other RP site and I'd guarantee you'd have been shown the exit at this point.

I hate to break it to you Hikaru, but this isn't another rp site, this is SP. And unlike the others we get more freedom in helping with what happens, because you know damn well that if we didn't we would just stop coming. You can't afford to lose anymore members and you know it. It doesn't matter what I have done or haven't done because this is SP. Perhaps you should come out of your fantasy and face the real harsh truth, and that would be this site isn't your top of the line rp board. It is a small community where the member base has the right to know what is going on.

Who says? You? Go ahead, leave. YOU in particular lost rights you NEVER even had to this RP A LONG FUCKING TIME AGO. In roleplays, staff hold events, make the site fun, do maintenance and run the site. That is their job. Members roleplay, makeup storylines and their own smaller events fpr what they own, and participate. If staff makes an event members don't like they just either deal with it or don't FUCKING PARTICIPATE. They don't go and scream at staff "It's nooo fair! My stuff is going to die! Cancel your well developed, thought-out, and pre-planned for MONTHS now event just because I don't have the fucking imagination to continue amidst the challenge!"

Genesis may not have been pre-planned. But the Eclipse and what was after it that K2 was SUPPOSED to be here for was.
TRUE staff being gone puts a halt to things of events that were ongoing. HOWEVER, instead of leaving the site to die just because staff wasn't here to  keep the event going, people should have been fucking posting and being active. Live with the eclipse and find ways to make the best of things with new plots, new storylines, etc till the event carries on.

Staff make events to liven things up or to give a major plot for people to participate in. NOT to make everyone rely ONLY on that event to roleplay at all.
When a site lives only on events, it means the members are lazy fucks who care more about whining then contributing.

Did you do anything participative at all while K2 and Jeebus were gone? NO!

Instead you all whine or leave the site dead until staff is back so they can carry you the entire way.

You're all acting like spoiled brats, bottom line.
