Biggest Army this side of Shattered Planes.
« on: August 15, 2012, 02:28:34 PM »
A slight rippling effect occurred a good distance away from the gas giant, a long enough distance away so as not to seem a threat but well within quick radio transmission range. The ship that came through was a Vionix Hammer Class Frigate, proudly displaying the emblem of the Vionix on its side; a chevron within a shield, mounted upon a circle. The ship also had the word Spark emblazoned on the side in Vionix High Script. This ship sent a few telemetry signals to the Mechera base, requesting permission to dock and speak to an emissary about a very urgent manner.

The ship had all of its weapons powered down and was moving towards the station very slowly, its engines running on around 5% power just to keep it moving, it was obvious the ship wasn't a threat and those on board just hoped the Mechera wouldn't shoot them down.

As they neared the Mechera's colonial capital, they saw not one base. Noooo, no, there were far more than that. Hundreds of cities dotted the the spacial orbit around Frezzi, some space stations, others built into the moons themselves. Millions of ships zipped to and fro, all on their own business for their own reasons. Strangely though, very few seemed to be military vessels, and none of these were higher than frigate-class. As they sent their message, a certain Space Traffic Control Officer who always seemed to get the new aliens recieced the message, before relaying one back of her own.

[Good morrow, Unknown ship. If you seek to speak with our diplomats, please make your way to the casino station, dock 37, and await further contact from there.]

The captain of the vessel and most of the crew gave a sigh of relief and a gasp of awe as they saw exactly what was around the Gas Giant, they had seen their own Aegis Defense Stations but they were almost nothing in comparison to this. The Captain didn't stay too awed however and cranked the engines up, moving towards the designated station after giving a small thank you to the Mechera that sent the message. As the ship approached they powered down their shielding and glided gently into the docking bay, landing and locking in with magnetic clamps before a ramp detached and two Vionix females walked down. The first was a tall one, around 6'1" and was very slender with golden blonde hair down to her shoulders and dark crimson eyes. The second of the diplomatic pair was a bit shorter, standing at 5'7" and with a curvy physique. She had long, silver hair down to her hips and bright pink eyes. The pair stood in the bay and waited for a representative to come, hoping it wouldn't take too long.

"Why, hello, welcome, welcome!" A Mechera said, walking towards them. Without going into a big giant explanation that'll probably take several paragraphs, they look like the Geth from Mass Effect, except for very slight differences like how the color of their flashlight eyes changes based on their current emotion. As he saw the pink eyes of the one alien, he reflexively cringed and his own eye turning purple before remembering 'Not Mechera' and calming down, his eye turning back to blue. "My...Apologies, miss, I had thought I must have offended you...Very few Organic races happen to have the color of hatred as a possible eye color. If those are contacts, it might be best to not wear those while in the Empire; very unexpected to see. Ah...In any case, I presume you both are here to see our diplomats?"

The Two females didn't have to wait long it would seem. The taller one, called Morinth turned to her partner, known as Corillia, and nodded slightly. She then raised an eyebrow at the cringe from the strange being before it was explained and she gave a short laugh, Corillia covering her mouth with a hand in a slight amount of shock before shaking her head "I apologise so much, I didn't even realise" Her voice was scarcely a whisper but it was almost sing-song in its lilt. "I will put in contacts to make sure no misunderstandings are had" She then took out a small box and popped two contacts out, sliding them into her eyes in a moment, the irises turning a shade of bright, sky blue. "Thank you for warning me and yes, we would like to meet the diplomats, this is something very urgent. Oh and don't mind my friend here" She nodded to Morinth who just nodded "She is more of a tactical commander whilst I am the diplomat, I am Corillia and it's a pleasure to finally meet one of your race" She bowed respectfully and tapped Morinth on the arm before nodding once more.

"And it is a honor to meet you both as well." The Mechera said, bowing gracefully before them as well before leading then from the dock into the station proper. As current, they were within the concourse, mostly a intermediary area between the docks and the main area of the Casino Station. Most often it was simply ignored, but it was there for the benefit of the passengers of commercial and public intergalactic and interdimensional travel, who would need boarding areas and places to meet with friends and family and get their luggage. "And please, there is absolutely no reason to apologize, milady. It is only that we express emotion via eye color between our own kind. Many of us have grown used to other races' static eyes, but, occasionally one of the rarer colors comes through. Simply a little jarring, no fault of your own. Lets see...This appears to be the Cerzek Concourse, so if we move through heeere, we should be in the primary Negotiator's Lounge branch of this sector...Very nice hotel, even has rooms for Organics to accommodate foreign diplomats." As he said this, he led them into a hotel lounge area, with a Mechera receptionist speaking with a few other organics, retiles it appeared with spines instead of hair. Their guide paid them no mind and led them to a elevator-like contraption before turning to them and handing the a pair of cards. "These are access cards to the Embassy Level of this hotel. You will want to go to room 57648, very close to the Elevators and one of the major meeting rooms. If you have trouble finding it, simply type the room number onto the card and it will project a holographic walkway for you to find it. Additionally, if you are planning a long stay, upon that same level is Suite 379, which those keycards will unlock. As foreign Emmisaries, your stay here will be of no charge. Please enjoy your visit within the Empire."

Corillia and Morinth just nodded to the Mechera before following him, looking around with fairly wide eyes, apparently excited to finally see the architecture and design of this new race they had only just met. The two of them looked to one another for just a moment before a small click could be heard from either of them and Corillia grinned at Morinth as they walked into the hotel and looked around, noticing the other organics and raising an eyebrow before shaking her head and looking forwards. When they reached the elevator Corillia and Morinth stopped and took the access cards, smiling and bowing gratefully. "We thank you very much, you have provided a fantastic first impression of the Mechera, I hope we may continue to work with one another after this" She straightened up and brushed her clothing down before stepping into the elevator and pressing the button for the level they had to go to, arriving there a few moments later and walking to the door.

When they reached to the door they turned to one another and Corillia removed her contacts, showing her bright pink eyes once more before taking a deep breath and stepping in, looking around for a moment with her arms crossed over her chest, thinking of the right words to say to any diplomats or emissaries of the Mechera. She had to gain their trust and respect before asking them to come to war with her race, this would not be an easy task but Corillia was used to hard missions.

The room appeared almost entirely empty aside from decor and a roulette-themed circular table. Suddenly, a horizontal laser covered the entire room, scanning everything. Not a military laser, mind, it did no harm and caused no damage. Soon afterward, two figures stepped out from behind one of the decorations. The figures didn't look like a Mechera though...They actually appeared very much like a human, wearing a skin-tight garbs of some form(and the female's very formal in appearance, though the male's more dull). Their eyes appeared to shift colors occasionally, going from blue to yellow to black, ect, with almost no discernible pattern...Though, if they watched carefully, they might notice that very few bright shades appeared. Lastly, they both possessed pale skin(with the female's having a VERY slight red tinge), and the hair was green for the male and blue for the female. They both moved to the table and, as they sat down, their forms flickered for a half a second. "Sssssoooo, I am told that you guys are the diplomats from that other race? Pleased to meet you! I am Alica, and my partner here is Joseph. Or...At least, thats the name you'll probably be able to pronounce, anyway. What can we do for you?"

The two Vionix females just looked around the empty room for a moment, admiring the decor before the laser popped up and they froze up slightly, not expecting it but they calmed down quick enough after realising that it wasn't going to hurt them. "Well that was unexpected" Corillia muttered to herself before smiling brightly at the two, human looking people who had just stepped out. "Oh, hello there!" she nodded slightly to their query and then moved slightly closer but didn't sit down as Corillia just scanned over them with her own bright pink eyes. Noticing the distinct lack of bright colours in their eyes, Corillia furrowed her slight eyebrows together for just a moment before shaking her head and taking a breath to compose herself. "Well yes, I am the diplomat for the Vionix and it is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Corillia and my friend here is Morinth, she doesn't talk much so don't mind her." She giggled, covering her mouth with a hand before tapping her lip for a moment with a pale, slender finger. "Well that is where the problem lies, I am uncertain if we should get it out quickly or if you would prefer that we talk about other things before the main piece of news" She sighed quietly and then took out a small piece of paper, stepping forwards and placing it on the table in front of the female to show it was a dossier about the Anrufe. "These guys are the problem and war is what is coming to them..." She left that to hang in the air, looking up at the Alica.

As soon as the document was placed on the table, it was hit by the lasers. However, these were much higher intensity lasers...Still not enough to do any harm, however they provided a much deeper scan. Once this was finished, Alica took the file...Or...Not? Indeed, she made all of the motions of picking it up, but when she touched it, the document flickered and remained in place...While she slid a copy of it into her grasp. She looked at the copy for but a second before putting it down and closing her eyes, which had briefly turned even whiter than her eye's sclera. "The Empire is...Aware of the Anrufe. They have assaulted us before, and we are already in the process of mobilizing our forces to lead a counteroffensive. So, you are indeed correct, war is coming to them. Given your words, I trust that you all are rallying aid for this war attack upon them?"

Corillia and Morinth seemed un-phased  by what just happened with the document, in fact the shorter female had already deduced that the two of them were holograms and she just let them read through it before her eyes widened slightly. "You are also leading an offensive? That is very good news for us Alica, for we are also rallying up a rather large alliance to help bring down the Anrufe once and for all. We know it will be bloody and we are expecting all of those involved to take casualties but we will aid you as best as we can, be it with technology or troops. We just ask for your help in bringing them down." She nodded and turned to Morinth who just nodded as well. "I will be happy to answer any queries you may have apart from on troop numbers and the such, we need to know you will help us before that information is given out. This isn't an insult to the Mechera but we are just somewhat overcautious"

Alica nodded, opening her eyes once more-blue again-and nodding. "Yeeeeeesss...Casualties...Indeed...Hm. Oh, and dont feel like your insulting us. We aren't telling you two everything, after all. On that matter, then...What would you propose for the pre-war preparations? Obviously cooperative technological research of course and training exercises to allow us to understand one another's tactics in battle and think new ones together...But anything else?"

Corillia and Morinth both stood there with the former tapping her bottom lip with a pale, slender finger while she thought. "Well of course those would occur, we were also thinking that if you have any allies willing to help, could you contact them? Also, we will be having a true meeting of our commanders soon to discuss battle strategies and the likes. This will be a big operation Alica and it will not be easy to bring them down but I trust that together we can." She rubbed the bridge of her nose and sighed softly. "We have one problem however, apparently the Anrufe have a Chronomancer on their side and we need something to shut them down, I know nothing about this magic user but I need to know if you know of some way of stopping him?" She didn't seem all too worried but she was looking rather hopeful as she asked.
